The musical video from the band ALI , is a such a good band
My theory about why they used stop motion for the first OP is that it was fairly early for CG anime and people weren’t as accepting of it. Since OP’s are used as promotion, people would be hooked to it then watch the show regardless of animation style and realize that it looks great

beastars is probably one of the better executed cg animes out there
@@sahwangshi definitely helps that it was animated by a Studio that chooses to animate with CGI, rather than use it as a stopgap or time saver.
My theory, and maybe I'm wrong, is that since the animation style of the actual show appears to mimick specifically the stylings of stop motion animation rather than CG, they wanted a stop motion animated show initially, but due to the higher time and cost required (and maybe stop motion also not be too commonly used in Japanese media, idk about that) they instead just went with relatively more time- and cost-efficient CG that is animated like stop motion, but then make the first opening of the show proper stop motion as would've been intended.
@@jumpiestudios5265 nah, Studio Orange specializes in CG, if the show was given to Orange, it was always going to be CG. Other than that issue, I see your idea though.
Beastars is criminally underrated. The music is fire and the story is actually pretty good. Sadly the anthropomorphic animals throw people off and a lot don’t give it a chance
ALi and Yaosobi are both goated artists would definitely be interested to see the boys reaction to it as well (the full version at least for Wild Side trust me you wont regret it)

Great video as always! Just one additional piece of info for future reference: Yoasobi is a duo consisting of producer Ayase and the singer's name is Ikura :D
ALI is the same artist that did the iconic, funky ending song for Jujutsu Kaisen, Lost in Paradise. Pretty much every one of their tracks is amazing. ALI stands for Alien Liberty International and is a multinational japanese band so they blend a ton of different styles into their music that give a great funky/groovy style. They did a F1rst Take a few years ago and it was amazing, but they removed all of their online presence when their now former drummer got in big trouble for some big fraud stuff and then they returned about a year ago slowly reuploading all their content either with the drummer removed from videos or new videos and also put out some amazing new albums as well.
A great next video would be doing Golden Kamuy openings since they did the fourth opening, Never Say Goodbye, for the final season. Also Golden Kamuy is easily one of the best shows in recent years, probably one of my top anime over all.
Alternatively, there's Gundam The Witch From Mercury which has two openings and endings so far and the songs are amazing. First opening is by Yoasobi so that ties it into this video. Does it have piano? Only one way to find out. Also I say openings and endings mostly because the second ending is a must listen. If you heard it you'd know why. The song isn't sung by TK but it's written and produced by him so that should be hint enough.
Beastars also did multiple ending songs in the first season. Not a new one for each episode like Chainsaw Man, I think maybe 4-5 of them, but they rotated each episode to whichever one fit the episode best. They were dynamite though!
I've been heavily mentioning this, so sorry if it's annoying, I hope I'm not coming off as rude or demanding...
but yeah, Ali is a great singer, and Golden Kamuy OP 4 (aka Never Say Goodbye) is a really good one by him. Golden Kamuy has really good openings and endings in general, but that one I'm highlighting... in particular, the full version.
I would love if you and the boys checked out the opening from the anime kokkoku, called flashback. It's one of the best openings i've ever heard and it's very unique!

A little context for the anime, in a world that every living animal is humanoid (there is no human) very zootopia like, but more realistic, there is carnivores and herbivores, there is a society that they live with each other, but carnivores eating meet is a big sin and crime, the carnivores still have the instincts to eating meet, our protagonist is a wolf boy that falls in love with a bunny girl, he have to fight his instincts to not eat his loved one, the history goes around they and the society going around them
there is an extended version of the second OP with the full song. Also there is an pretty good ED by Yoasobi
