Exactly. That sentient parasite is going to spill out his guts in the future when he is no longer useful to it. That's why it's manipulating him to take out Homelander and other supes. The sentient worm is playing chess and taking out all of its threats 😂
"Dominic, stay close. This won't take long. Gentlemen, I have a pottery class in 10 minutes." 😂😂😂 And I was just about to ask last week whether Stan Edgar would be in this season of The Boys. At least we know that he's been keeping busy.
The native Indian ad joke goes deeper than you think. In real life, the “Native American” in the ad was actually Italian. That’s why in the parody they chose an obviously Italian looking guy.
That whole farm scene had me laughing so hard. line of the week, “no condittion to F sheep”. And to have old MacDonald play at the credits. Just brilliant. 👏
2:28 Iron Eyes Cody (born Espera Oscar de Corti) was an American actor of Sicilian descent, so the Big Chief Apache white guy in Vought's universe is not that different from our reality, which makes this episode and all the references even better
Also, so far as I'm aware, that ad campaign was heavily subsidised by oil companies to shift responsibility for environmental damage onto individuals and away from corporations. (I think George Mombiot wrote about it, but I could be wrong?)
@@YourQueerGreatAuntie It doesn't matter. With or without corporate sponsorship, the Vast Majority of people in Western society are incapable of acting against politicians even more than Homelander was incapable of killing Mary. having to watch hughie say goodbye to his dad all over again was too close to home for me. cause i had to say goodbye to my mom the day she passed away when she lost her battle with cancer. it's been 3 years now and i still think about that day and how much i miss her.

Do you think, after Homelander went back to his “home” in ep4 he now understands how to raise Ryan and control him. He gets some form of psychology is the key.
@@jackislegitterrified3689 i disagree I think the ep in the basement where they used emotion/love to control him and plant that seed for love is what he is trying to do to ryan, rather than actual putting him in a cell. acting is a loving father, but slowly trying to nude him in the direct he wants
@@jackislegitterrified3689but he controls him in this episode. He literally manipulates him into getting the freak dude beat by saying he’s “helping” the assistant
I would like to point out that homelander has a thing about lazering people in the brain, and if Sage does something to tHomelander and he lasers her, there is a chance she could survive with the healing factor, that might be a way out for her in the long run. (and you can easily survive losing an eye and part of the back of the skull in the Boys world if her brain will heal)
I think Keesler is the parasite but Becca is Butcher actual consciousness trying to fight. It was Becca that got Butcher to not hand over the files to Neuman.
Butcher will develop special kind of weapons that kills supers quickly. That worm tumor might be the critical element of Butcher killing off many people as they did in the comics.
That's true but what this show has that the comics don't is Ryan (and also that comics Butcher is 5x more psychotic than show Butcher) So it'll be interesting to see if Butcher still goes with the whole "try to kill everyone with even a speck of V in their veins" thing that comics Butcher did considering he still has a son he cares about deeply
@malif1279 comic Butcher was a pure monster. However, Butcher's true weakness was Hughie. TV Butcher hasn't reached the point of not giving fucking yet. Maybe Ryan or Hughie could stop Butcher. The show itself can't keep pushing the Homelander plot to another season. No disrespect to the actor who plays Homelander.
Same that was strange and it kinda made me a little irritated cause they were dragging it out throughout episode but I’m just glad we got more Victoria
@@jon_ovo3653 it really bothered me too. I was listening for that criticism. It’s a great show, but it’s it funny how nobody will criticize the obvious plot holes. Like they could spend one line saying oh they have super skin like homelander so her powers don’t work on them.
Those were the best scenes in the entire episode. That was funny as f--k 😭😭😭. I hope the writers realize that they don't have to cook up gross degenerate scenes (e.g. gross exploding p-nis scenes) to make us laugh, this was funny enough.
It's definitely a sentient tumor like venom and when he killed the rabbit that was a foreshadow to him killing the thing within himself too in the same way
I've been a medicine technician for a alzheimers/dementia facility for a sevral years. The part with hughies dad was so incredibly done. Horrifying and heartbreaking. Had me screaming at my tv "RUN!!!!!!!"
Sage knows A-trian was the leak. She made him to think she knows, cuz she knows Homelander is unhinged and will figure it out soon. She wanted A-train to find a scapegoat.
@Dopecheetah she has her agenda, so I'm not sure if she is begin nice but if the smartest person in the world doesn't realize A-train is the mole, then she is a not the smartest person in the world.
part of me thinks Sage is plotting too because she saw at the expo how Homelander was just out of tune when he was recapping what he did in episode 4 ad she knows he will flip and kill her at any time too. She did want A-train to find a way to figure that out
There were a few Queen Maeve references that made me wonder if we’ll see her again. IIRC she’s the only one to survive Soldier Boys unibeam, maybe it’s only temporary and she gets her powers back after a while.
Tek knight is holding something like a "Maeve diary for proud kids" and Sage noted something in it for him, she probably foreshadowed something, maybe an anti-firecracker plan or anti A-train one (pretty sure she know the speedster will find a scapegoat)
I disagree I think it’s clear he knows his father is trying to manipulate him and he is playing along out of self preservation as well as protecting Butcher, he knows if he rejects his father then his father will take it out on Butcher. During the scene where the assistant is slapping the director they briefly show Ryan having a very distasteful look on his face. They also made it a point to let the audience know how smart Ryan is in previous seasons. He already was given a strong moral foundation by his mother and has become aware that his father just plans on using him.
I have a theory about the latest episode involving the interaction with the bunny and Butcher. (And a gripe) It seemed to me that the act of Butcher releasing the bunny might have been influenced by the parasite or V in an attempt to save itself. I believe that when Butcher found the dying bunny, it symbolized the parasite panicking as its host was dying, much like what happened with Butcher and Ezekiel. This led Butcher to recognize the parasite is his problem and responded by stomping on the bunny. I was really bothered by the team's struggle with the sheep when they had Neuman on the team in that episode. It seemed like an "easy" situation for them to get out of, especially given the severity of having one dose of the virus. Neuman has shown she doesn't need Line of Sight (LoS) or have problems with moving targets throughout the show. In that episode alone, she exhibited her powers without LoS in the lab and dealing with moving targets when the chicken attacked Stan and the target driving the vehicle Stan was in. The sheep walked in the barn slowly, noticed them, and screeched. It seemed unrealistic and forced for time and plot's sake that she didn't handle it differently. She could have just taken out the two instead of running away, risking everyone's lives going into the entire flock of them. This also gave a possibility for Butcher to do what he did with Sameer. Maybe I'm nitpicking but just seemed really inconsistent with the shows past. EDIT FOR SPELL CHECK ETC
Every time papa Hugh said a line like “I’m scared” it shook me to my core. The delivery of each line like that was absolutely phenomenal, it really speaks levels about the real world horrors of memory loss and death
I like the theory of Kessler being apart of Butchers imagination, but didnt he get physical drugs to drug Ryan? Thatd be the only loophole in my head to prove otherwise
If you notice the locked eyes of Sage and A-Train after all the blaxploitation pictures Vought was putting out you recognize that she sees how Vought is treating them because of their race and neither of them was cool with it. A lot was said in the look. A-train was like “if you’re so smart, how are you cool with this? Sage recognized it and was genuinely out of sorts. I think she knows A-Train is guilty of the leak but is building individuals around Homelander that can attempt to make a run at him.
#20 was def Sage showing Tech Knight something in a journal/diary… they zoomed in to A-Train to show that he was worried that she was telling people he was the leak
The Jabberwocky is Hughie's dad. "Remember" song line plays in the background when Sage is leaving A-Train after suspecting him (dope), and the farm is a huge play on the book "Animal Farm," where the animals take over and ideaologies lead to the downfall of the farm.
I think the hallucination Kessler theory is too on the nose for this show. They started showing us Becca and made it clear that she’s a hallucination, but they didn’t do it too quickly. They revealed her at the same time they revealed Kessler. The differences that most of Kessler scenes are alone with Butcher, whereas Becca just appears regardless of who Butchers around . he’s around other people. I think the misdirect here is that Kessler is a real character. He is a real person, the reason we haven’t seen him interacting with anyone else because he’s not supposed to. He and butcher are on a private investigation that he doesn’t wanna let anyone else know about. It seems like they were setting this up from the beginning they’re showing us Becca being a hallucination and tricking us with a lot of the same tactics as with Kessler. In this episode the ending of Samir looking over and having a confused face stands out to me as the biggest misdirect possible. I don’t think it’s him not SEEING anyone, I think it’s Samir not RECOGNIZING him because he wasn’t with the boys earlier.
I got the impression that Sage helped Ashley set up her Sub as the leak, fully knowing that A-Train is the actual leak. Sage’s actual plan is bound to be a huge twist. She hates her powers, knows how much damage supes do, and can obviously see that she is enabling Homelander to do exactly what Stormfront wanted. A large part of her drive seems to be race-based. I suspect that she sees A-Train as someone who can truly work WITH HER.
Oh, are there others? Just kidding, I of course watch WhoCulture and TrekCulture. But that's only because Charlie doesn't talk about those. But if anyone else talks about the stuff he does, the algorithm has never suggested any of them to me
@@Whossosa27 - exactly. So the writers and financial backers of the show not only know the entertainment industry well, they are keenly aware of socioeconomic views & trends.
Not month, probably years. They were in pre-production when all of the delays happened with this season. That's why certain actors look way different this year than in the show.
There's another deep-cut connection between Simon Pegg and Jar Jar Binks. In the TV show "Spaced" (which is certainly the first role I saw Pegg in, before SOTD), his character has such a issue with The Phantom Menace that he's been barred from every video (or possibly comic book?) shop in his area. It might even be the first episode.
There's a joke where Cameron And The Deep come out on stage and talk about Vought 'amplifying black voices': they have microphones, but A-Train on stage with them doesn't have a mic and doesn't get to speak
After rewatching the last scene, (when they pulled up the house) it didn't look like there was anyone sitting on the passenger side... then it cuts to them getting out of the car... my prediction is when Butcher was fighting Ezekiel, the parasite sacrificed to save Butcher, killing the part of the parasite that manifests Becca... seeing how we haven't seen her since. And with that part of the parasite dead, Monkey is a stronger presence.
I believe Monkey is a hallucination. He knows too many intimate details about The Boys. He said things that I feel like only people in the team would know. Also, Sameer reacted to Butcher saying "us" like "what do you mean us? Its only you here and who are you looking at".
I had to rewind to when they bust out of the barn and scatter after I saw the perfectly severed leg. You can see that he and Butcher head off in the same direction.
I'm confused about when Butcher apprehended Sameer and cutoff his leg. They all made a run for it out of the barn at the same time when 2 V sheep walked in, and then they noticed Sameer was missing. Butcher and Sameer were noticeable absent when the sheep were falling out of the sky, but a minute later Butcher show up without him. The agents then search the farm and only find his leg? He's only tied up in some barn or shed. How'd he subdue him and amputate his leg that quickly without blood on him?
I already had a hunch that Hughies dad would have some problems as it was stated that he's virtually brain dead and was left to die by the doctors before getting V'd up by Daphne. I was sure that some brain damage must've been done and it couldn't be like "Oh look he's back! Everythings alright now!" and everything was right w him
The best hint that that monkey character is butcher's imagination is when he talks about his team members despite not knowing or interacting with them in person and he lays out accurate details of each and every one of his team.
I can't wait for Butcher's new powers. I saw a leak about Butcher's power which is almost the same as Venom or ( something like Alex Mercer Prototype power thing ). Moreover, in the Marvel Universe, Eddie sometimes calls Venom something other than a symbiote (parasite), in accordance with The Boys Universe which also calls it a parasite, but in Prototype universe, they call it Virus.
I think Sage has known that homelander was gonna go off the rails the entire time (since she’s the smartest person in the world) so she definitely has a contingency plan. She’s been two steps ahead of everyone the entire time

I think it’s more a line on home lander molding Ryan and joe molding butcher (editors note ep 6 of season 4 and I’m aware I’m wrong now by now but I still think it would’ve been a better narrative point if they did that. It kinda feels cheap to just say he wasn’t ever there)
That rabbit was a foreshadowing of what’s happening to butcher
Exactly. That sentient parasite is going to spill out his guts in the future when he is no longer useful to it. That's why it's manipulating him to take out Homelander and other supes. The sentient worm is playing chess and taking out all of its threats 😂
Yo, when i first saw that scene, the first thing that came to my mind was "BUTCHER'S NEXT!"
yeah cause the rabbit was injected with temp V AND compound V
It’s cute that Butcher and Zoe have similar powers.
Yeah if butcher dies he will still find a way to make more problems 😂
"Dominic, stay close. This won't take long. Gentlemen, I have a pottery class in 10 minutes." 😂😂😂 And I was just about to ask last week whether Stan Edgar would be in this season of The Boys. At least we know that he's been keeping busy.
The native Indian ad joke goes deeper than you think. In real life, the “Native American” in the ad was actually Italian. That’s why in the parody they chose an obviously Italian looking guy.
Tbh he looks more Scottish or Anglo, which makes it even more of a parody
@@svilendenchev9984he may not be Indian blood, but he has Indian heart.

It was me, Hughie!
That whole farm scene had me laughing so hard. line of the week, “no condittion to F sheep”. And to have old MacDonald play at the credits. Just brilliant. 👏
RIP Hughies dad, he was a legend, it’s so sad that V fucked him up into becoming something that he would hate
Feels like they could have done so much more with his character instead of just killing him off. Oh well.
Frenchie being a math genius makes sense since he’s a chemist and an engineer and bomb maker etc I don’t think it’s really a secret
The Sopranos also covers this with Ralphie giving the poster to Del
@@YourQueerGreatAuntie It doesn't matter. With or without corporate sponsorship, the Vast Majority of people in Western society are incapable of acting against politicians even more than Homelander was incapable of killing Mary.
We came to the conclusion that to stop climate change we as individuals needed to do better, not stop corporations polluting all by ourselves. Ad campaigns aren't needed. Politicians just speak on behalf of corporate interests & We The People back down every time.
@@YourQueerGreatAuntie you're right and I love how the Boys call that out satirically
having to watch hughie say goodbye to his dad all over again was too close to home for me. cause i had to say goodbye to my mom the day she passed away when she lost her battle with cancer. it's been 3 years now and i still think about that day and how much i miss her.
Yeah man, I got a little choked up on that one also, sorry for your loss.
Same here. Hard to see this and the brain tumour stuff, when my dad died of one last year. The face hughie's dad made was the same
Sorry man
Oh man SAME!! I thought at first would I give that crap to my mom just to see her cancer free..heck yea! But to see her suffer confused like his dad and scared would kill me too. That scene struck a nerve.
As soon as I watch an episode, I come to TH-cam for an Emergency Awesome breakdown.
Thanks! That's awesome!
Me too 😅
My idea is: I think butchers wife is the conciseness of butcher the good side of him, and kessler is the tumor, or it is the other way around
I think both are the tumor using the right person for what it needs
Kessler his subconscious 😂 things he does instinctively muscle memory or known for doin while Becca is his humanity and atonement along with Ryan however Ryan is becoming homelanders humanity
"...conciseness"
You mean "Conscience"?
Or did you mean "Consciousness"? (....something entirely different).
Because "conciseness" doesn't mean what you think it means and isn't doing for your comment what you think it should be doing.
I think the Tumor got pressed Out of him by stretchy dude
Do you think, after Homelander went back to his “home” in ep4 he now understands how to raise Ryan and control him. He gets some form of psychology is the key.
No, he didn't fix anything. He's still as messed up as ever.
He doesnt mean fix, he means that he learned there how he can control Ryan better using psychology@@emergencyawesome
@@emergencyawesomeNot exactly.
He actually doesn't want to control his son as much anymore

i knew these rando people will die the moment they were all in the same room together with the main cast in the barn somehow 😅
Not going to lie, that is a great potential theory.
That's a genius theory!
If The Deep continues to be loyal to Homelander he may spill that secret about her powers to him.
I also want to as I’m surprised he’s keeping her around. I believe she is so smart…smart enough to know what can actually kill Homelander.
I think Keesler is the parasite but Becca is Butcher actual consciousness trying to fight. It was Becca that got Butcher to not hand over the files to Neuman.
I thought the parasite got pressed Out of butchet by the stretchy dude. Really looked Like that and since He felt better and we saw No wriggling
Butcher will develop special kind of weapons that kills supers quickly.
That worm tumor might be the critical element of Butcher killing off many people as they did in the comics.
Yeah they may go this way because in the comics it was fake Black Noir/Homelander
Reminds me of squirrel girl from the marvel comics where u don’t see his killings only the aftermath
That's true but what this show has that the comics don't is Ryan (and also that comics Butcher is 5x more psychotic than show Butcher)
So it'll be interesting to see if Butcher still goes with the whole "try to kill everyone with even a speck of V in their veins" thing that comics Butcher did considering he still has a son he cares about deeply

Simon Pegg was MVP this episode
I'm scared for MM, they already know he was called by the "leak", his family even got screentime.
You think? If so that was pretty nice of Sage or she is up to some serious
sh!t?
@Dopecheetah she has her agenda, so I'm not sure if she is begin nice but if the smartest person in the world doesn't realize A-train is the mole, then she is a not the smartest person in the world.
part of me thinks Sage is plotting too because she saw at the expo how Homelander was just out of tune when he was recapping what he did in episode 4 ad she knows he will flip and kill her at any time too. She did want A-train to find a way to figure that out
What exactly did he leak?
@hrdrr860 He gave The Boys a video proving that the Starlight supports framed were somewhere else and couldn't have killed the 3 Homelander supports.
There were a few Queen Maeve references that made me wonder if we’ll see her again. IIRC she’s the only one to survive Soldier Boys unibeam, maybe it’s only temporary and she gets her powers back after a while.
Watching Hughie say goodbye to his dad was so sad man 😢
Tek knight is holding something like a "Maeve diary for proud kids" and Sage noted something in it for him, she probably foreshadowed something, maybe an anti-firecracker plan or anti A-train one (pretty sure she know the speedster will find a scapegoat)
The part where Huey says to his father 'you can go now' is taken from Supernatural when Sam lets Dean die.
Exactly what i thought the min he said it...

We can see Ryan slowly turning into Homelander
Ryan is doomed. He origin is too dark for him to become a hero. ( rape baby)
To be fair, that seemed completely valid… don’t abuse your power for sexual favors. Man or woman.
I see that but I hope his mother's side is more dominant.
Ryan just playing wit his head😈#InRyanWeTrust
I wanna know what wood they used to build Mr. Edgars barn.
Chicken through human chest, ribs, spine and all = fine
Chicken vs wooden door = nope xD
😂 right
This episode was diabolical
I have a theory about the latest episode involving the interaction with the bunny and Butcher. (And a gripe)
It seemed to me that the act of Butcher releasing the bunny might have been influenced by the parasite or V in an attempt to save itself.

Yep and he also told Butcher about the virus
If you notice the locked eyes of Sage and A-Train after all the blaxploitation pictures Vought was putting out you recognize that she sees how Vought is treating them because of their race and neither of them was cool with it. A lot was said in the look. A-train was like “if you’re so smart, how are you cool with this? Sage recognized it and was genuinely out of sorts. I think she knows A-Train is guilty of the leak but is building individuals around Homelander that can attempt to make a run at him.
I like how Hughie and his dad have similar powers when they have compound v
#20 was def Sage showing Tech Knight something in a journal/diary… they zoomed in to A-Train to show that he was worried that she was telling people he was the leak
correct me if I'm wrong but when Newman came into the room everyone's nose began to bleed except Stan..... She did that on purpose
I really want to see Tek Knight suit looks in the boys universe
man , butcher's face in the end is nightmare fuel
The Jabberwocky is Hughie's dad.
"Remember" song line plays in the background when Sage is leaving A-Train after suspecting him (dope), and the farm is a huge play on the book "Animal Farm," where the animals take over and ideaologies lead to the downfall of the farm.
My theory is Sage knows it’s A train. She read that man like a book when she mentioned the leaks. That girl is weaving her web!!
She also said to A-Train, "that footage didn't just run itself out of crime analytics", as she looked at him sideways.
🎯🎯
Sister Sage knows A-Train is the leak. She just covered for him incase she needs someone to have her back against Firecracker or Homelander.
Homelander's theme song should be: 🎶"My milkshake brings all The Boys to the yard"🎶
Only channel worth watching for breakdowns.
Thanks! I appreciate it!

The writing in The Boys series is amazing. They're clowning on everyone hard and remember, these episodes were filmed months ago.
arent all tv show episodes filmed months before they come out?
It's the second season, Bilbo fires him for that episode and he gets hired at a rival comic store.
@@nicolahyman8957 Thanks!!! It's been too long since I've seen it x
The "Indian" in the RL anti-littering PSA was actually an Italian guy.

I genuinely thought Frenchie said: "I cant believe this is happening again" because he might have seen smth like that when he was stoned.. 😂
I can't wait until Prime Invincible Season 3 hope a crossover event with The Boys 😂
That would be cool!
There's a joke where Cameron And The Deep come out on stage and talk about Vought 'amplifying black voices': they have microphones, but A-Train on stage with them doesn't have a mic and doesn't get to speak
I’m glad Stan Edgar is back, such a phenomenal actor!
Pegg was absolutely on another level today, I’ve never seen such range from him! Strong 💪 work sir!
I believe Monkey is a hallucination. He knows too many intimate details about The Boys. He said things that I feel like only people in the team would know. Also, Sameer reacted to Butcher saying "us" like "what do you mean us? Its only you here and who are you looking at".
20:04 doesn’t it kinda look like Firecracker is getting a bit “touchy” with The Deep?
The jar jar binks rant from spaced is legendary, if you haven't seen spaced the tv show you need to! It's got Simon pegg and nick frost
If every movie ever made starred Simon Pegg and Nick Frost together I would not complain.
Hughie's dad paid tribute to the Reverse Flash 😂😂😂
The Boys are winning and Emmy this year, especially the special guests star category with Simon Pegg
I had to rewind to when they bust out of the barn and scatter after I saw the perfectly severed leg. You can see that he and Butcher head off in the same direction.
The crying Indian joke is actually more layered then you think because the Native American in the original commercial was not a Native American
Fairly certain Butcher is going through a Fight Club + Akira scenario.
I already had a hunch that Hughies dad would have some problems as it was stated that he's virtually brain dead and was left to die by the doctors before getting V'd up by Daphne. I was sure that some brain damage must've been done and it couldn't be like "Oh look he's back! Everythings alright now!" and everything was right w him
It’s good to see Sam and Kate back in the boys
Watching Homelander and Ryan reminded me of the old Tom & Jerry with Spike and his son barking Tom up the flag pole. Haha
From Phase 7 to 19 😂😂😂😂
The best hint that that monkey character is butcher's imagination is when he talks about his team members despite not knowing or interacting with them in person and he lays out accurate details of each and every one of his team.
She’s been two steps ahead of everyone the entire time
I think that A train most expensive show was Amazon taking shot at them selves for LOTR tv show.
Simon Pegg had a thing against Jar Jar Binks from back in Spaced
