My mom has that disease but only in her left eye. I am so proud of her for living with it, even when it can make things harder for her. I remember her crying when she couldn't see the moment I made one of my biggest dreams coming true: adopting my forever companion and pup, Sailor. She could barely see her, and I can just imagine the look on her face, thinking she was a failure as a mom.
