Agreed, sure he got a high as hell voice but fucking hell that is only for his benefit, there is nothing I love more than classical music especially opera and this song is one of my all time favorite and he did it justice like hell.
This is my favorite male soprano version so far. Great confidence in his performance. Congratulations to his coach for inspiring such a fine performance out of him.

Jacques Imbrailo is one of South Africa's greatest operatic exports. As an adult he has a magnificent baritone voice. He was a contestant in the Cardiff Singer of the World competition and regularly performs all over Europe. Never new he sang this. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
My grandson and I heard the cracking sound at 1.25 and nearly split our sides laughing. I have now tried this aria on a phone and several computers. The noise is still there, so it must be a fault in the recording. I'd love to believe it was that incredible note! Brilliant version.
