They do love this life, as do we. We're currently moored in our winter base, Valletta Malta and they're loving the cooler weather here after a hot summer in Greece and Turkey. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Thanks. There's a few other items we would like to add but all more geared for comfort. She's served us well as we're sailing into Raiatea, French Polynesia as we type this reply. Thanks for following along!
I have the 3 cabin version of the OC 50 and love it for all the reasons you have pointed out. Agree that an aluminum point is difficult to man handle short handed. Safe Sails!
We like the two cabin for the extra space it gives visitors but a 3rd cabin would be nice for storage. After 30 days on passage though, we do love this boat!
Thank you for showing us your wonderful yacht. I am a couple of years until I can buy and now I would like a boat just like yours. It is truly a magnificent set up. Keep up the authentic videos :)
Hello from Ed and Eileen in Vancouver! We remember touring your boat just before you left and can't believe that was five years ago!! We love watching your adventure and hopefully we can get to visit you sometime. Cheers.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the arch rocks. Definitely a must have for all the things you need to mount and also provided a bit of an enclosure when you're sailing to make you feel more secure.
@@SailingGargoyle What make arch is it,? also your hydro vane the bracket , did you have that custom made? just luv Gargoyle fantastic yacht well equipped , well done
The tour was great, but can you show or tell me about the cooler in the lazzerette. Did you put in the pull out shelf that the cooler is on? If so can you tell me how you did it. We have a 47.1 thar has the exact set up as yours. Thank you for your help.
We didn't do the work, First Yachts in Vancouver did it for the original owner. I belive they have install pictures still posted on Facebook. Basically it's on two sliders with a plywood base that the Dometic attaches to with straps. Cigarettes power adapter mounted in the back. There's a slide latch to hold it locked when retracted and a clip strap to hold it when pulled out for access. Send us an email at sailinggargoyle@gmail.com and I will send you a few pictures and a video when I get cheaper wifi setup. It is a totally awesome setup and the Dometic just stepped up as our deep freeze when the primary unit stopped working a week out of Costa Rica.
We had fun making that episode! Wanted something different for a boat tour, other than the soft music and slow gliding wide angle shots. Make it real. Glad you enjoyed
Very easy as she's setup. The power winches are a big help and the latest round of electronics makes tacking singlehandedly a breeze. Plus the AIS and radar alarms help alert a single hand sailor on overnight passage. The only thing that's more challenging is when docking as there's quite a lot more freeboard on Gargoyle vs our old 36'. But it's certainly less than a similar length Hanse for example.
Thank you so much for sharing. Beautiful kitties you have too; I'll bet they love the Earth being their "oyster."

Nice Yacht, well, and competently sorted for short handed sailing. Jealous!

Hope you enjoyed it. A bit different look at a cruising boat than most others.

@clark, let me know if you are interested in selling.
Thanks for the tour, I can better picture you guys when I check your posts and progress every morning. Give our regards to Cap'n Ron.
He says hi back! He's just laying here in the cockpit lounging. Keeps talking about jumping in but think he's worried about sharks.

Thanks! And thanks for calling out the authenticity of what we do. It's much appreciated!

Very nice boat. ⛵👍
Thanks! She's taken good care of us on this journey.
Great tour and feedback! SVGargoyle is a blue water cruiser for sure!
She just knocked off a 4,000 mile 30 day passage so she can definitely get it done out here. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
Great episode! I love your boat!
Thanks
How often does one get to tour a yacht? Such a treat. Thank you.
Any time we're in the same location, come on down for a tour and cocktails.
WOW! 5 years now, not sure why but that was just shocking to hear. Feels like you just left a year or two ago.
It's been three years since leaving but we lived aboard for two years in Vancouver. Time does fly!

How difficult to singlehand?
