- Once afraid of the deep and the sea I took to swimming to overcome my phobia. This is the third and the longest (13km) swim I completed in three weeks. The other two in Dec were double Rangitoto crossings (10kms), from Kohimarama (18th Dec) and Takapuna (26th Dec) respectively.
