Learning a new language by yourself is not easy, but I am thankful that there are amazing people like you. Sharing a little bit of your knowledge makes me and many other people learn. It is admirable.
@@joules_sw Estoy encantada de que también disfrutes de las lecciones de Yimin. Es una profesora cautivadora, y aprender de ella es una experiencia fascinante. Les deseo un increíble momento de aprendizaje.
Muchísimas gracias! The way you explained “location “ and “location noun “ helped me understand this way of thinking;yes, thinking in Chinese. Thank you! 😊
Thanks for the help cause its really hard learning by yourself....but this helps alot,,,though especially have problems with characters...its so hard for me
Your lessons always are wonderful; if you have not made a video giving turn-by-turn directions [either driving, walking, or taking transportation], e.g., how to go from one side of town to another or across a university campus . That’s be terrific. 谢谢谢谢你
@@yiminchinese the other construction that is so vital to learn but I haven’t found a good video describing it is the 是……的 construction. Thanks again for your terrific work
Wonderful video; always yours are. Have you made a video about giving directions [for people either on foot, driving, or using a vehicle]: e.g., how to escape from a maze; or, how to drive from one part of the city to another; or how to navigate from one building to another on a college campus
Hello Yimin 老师, thank you so much for your videos. They are so vital to my quest to learn Chinese. Especially learning it on my own and residing in a country where I don't need to speak Chinese. I have a question concerning the last example. Would it be incorrect if I said: 有 三个人 我 前面
谢谢!I just started this topic on Duolingo and I was having trouble with the sentence structure - this is just what I needed to grasp the concept! Although wouldn’t it be “我的家” in the sentence at 3:28? (“学校在我家前面”)
Hello for the exemple of between... How would we say. The cat is between the tree and the house... In you exemple you use 两棵树。This is a shortcut. I would say 小猫在树和房子中间。 A+在+B和C (Locality). Is that ok?
If both the 'location noun' and the actual noun to which it refers are placed together in a possessive relation why isn't 'de' used to indicate this eg sha fa 'de' xia mian = the sofa's underneath - the location under the sofa ; sha fa 'de' shang mian = the sofa's top ie on the sofa - location on top of the sofa ? Wouldn't this be grammatically logical ?
Thanks for making this video. I have a question, though (and please bare in mind I'm only about 10 weeks into learning)... I've been taught to add "的" to denote belonging to/ownership, therefore at 3:15 and subsequent points in the video, when you mention "my home", I was expecting "我的家", but you write "我家". Are both perfectly acceptable in all situations? For example could I say "我姐姐" for "my sister" rather than "我的姐姐"?
good question , no it's better we don't use "wei " there ,because wei normally comes before an occupation ,like yi wei lao shi, yi wei yi sheng, and if it's just for "ren ", we just say "yi ge ren "

yes you are right, that is the logic, but in the real life speaking, we omit "de" to keep it concise.
