- They broke the code and won Eurovision 2024, and one month later Switzerland's Nemo has announced a European tour in the spring of 2025.
We caught up with this year's Eurovision winner in their home country to talk about the experience that Eurovision was, performing at Zürich Pride and how everything will be in the future with the tour and other plans.

It's the same pretty much. I lived in Switzerland and heard Swiss German all the time. Maybe a bit more gutteral but he's not doing that in the English interview.

Not on TH-cam, but Metler was fifth in people's voting. Nobody else won Eurovision being so low in tele. So Metlers win is rigged and Metler should give back the trophy Eurovision rules saying that the winner is combinet by tele and jury and not only by jury

You do not have to. I would start to worry when Nemo gets back to wear jeans and t-shirts in blue, brown or beige. Of course, it's not the same for every queer person, but often that's a sign you don't feel ok in your male/female body and you just want to hide.

@@reislaya the whole "they" thing is credible only to people who speak English as a primary language and have no idea how others work in terms of morphology, grammar etc. it simply doesn't work in other languages as smoothly or at all. Do you know that Hungarian has 3 times more cases than German? Do you understand Croatian or Russian? Didn't think so. You can try to twist language to adhere to your ideology, but as a language professor, let me assure you it's just a trend because as soon as it hits the wall of logic, its semantics shatters too.
@@Mloofyliciousas a Danish speaking person, I can say that ‘de/dem’ refers to non-binaries in the same way as they/them in English, so it’s definitely not just an English thing.
Not to mention the fact than ‘hen’ is a newer word from Sweden (?) that we’ve also adopted in Denmark, which refers to a ‘third’ gender that is neither ‘hun’ (her) nor ‘han’ (him).
Language is fluent and changes all the time. In a time where people of all genders finally can live freely and openly, it wouldn’t surprise me if the languages followed suit.
Also adding to that, even if a language doesn’t have a third gender term, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use the correct pronouns when speaking a language that does.
