Thank you for this Vintage Peach Pretty Barbie review! I began collecting Barbie in the late '80's, and your review made me re-appreciate this era. The dolls & clothes were beautifully made & packaged and always came with tons of accessories and a fashion booklet...and, they still remain my favorites when I re-visit them today! :)
I enjoyed this video so much! We are the same age, so I completely understand your appreciation for the late 80s/early 90 Barbie dolls! You inspired me to take a look at these older dolls and I found the very first Teresa doll I ever had! I bought her from e-bay along with the Barbie doll (my sister had the Barbie from this particular set and both were being sold together!). I plan on surprising her for Christmas with it! These were our very first Barbie dolls when we moved to the U.S. so it brought back so many memories.
It's funny because back in the 80's and 90's, the Barbies had really full, huge hair that looked beautiful when they were in the box. Although for "some" of them, when you take them out, the hair is extremely frizzy and all over the place. I have about 4 1988 Happy Holidays Barbies and I took one out of the box. My Mom and my brother laughed at how big and frizzy the hair was. I am really good at styling Barbie hair, so after about 15-20 minutes of working on her, her hair looks gorgeous now. Some of the newer Barbies actually need more hair...if I'm doing custom dolls, I sometimes get extra hair added. No need to add any hair to the older dolls!!! They tend to have super thick hair already. Cute review...I love seeing your enthusiasm when you are talking about the dolls. I collect Barbies and 1/6 scale action figures and I LOVE them!!!
sphinx onyx I totally agree that hair honey in the texture of it so real right so real please call me back and tell me how real you thought that hair was as a little girl even now
i enjoyed this vintage Barbie doll review. Your love of this doll really came across, it's nice that you finally have her in all her peach prettiness. In 2016 Mattel is coming out with a couple of dolls that will have the same fashion play factor where you can give her a lot of different looks. They're called Barbie fashion mix 'N match, maybe you might enjoy those. They look tempting to me. I would like more vintage Barbie reviews from you since you like them so much it's fun to watch your enthusiasm. Happy Holidays.
You should purchase the Barbie Boom book by J. Michael Augustyniak. You would love it. It shows pictures and info for all the Barbies from 80s- early 90s. It is awesome to look through. My favorite guide book for sure. Peach Pretty was one of my favorite Barbie trading cards. Oh no, I was hoping you weren't going to open her. She is so pristine for her age. Barbies are made so differently now.
Jason son...you might want to invest in some silicone spray for your Barbies. I do restoration work on dolls and the biggest thing in Barbie is the loss of shine. Silicone spray fixes that in a New York minute. I'm fond of WD specialties spray, no smell and it works.Just a shot and comb it through...and shine for days! It's worth a thought sweetie.
My favourite Barbie dolls are the ones from the mid to late 90's and early 00's. Those are the ones I played with as a kid and I have great memories of. Talking about Barbies we craved as kids, I'm still pining over the Generation Girl Barbies. I loved them so much and I've never even so much as held one, let alone owned one. The one I really, really wanted was Mariko, but I also like the Barbie, Tori and Asha dolls. The entire idea behind them was so cool and their clear personalities and great accessories just added to the appeal.
I wish they would bring back this kind of boxing/packaging too but I feel like they won't because they don't put out these beautiful fantasy gown dolls anymore. Everything is so drab.
It's funny, I have seen some of ur other vids prior to this one, I didn't realize we had more in common. I'm a guy who recently started collecting Barbie, her friends, and family dolls. I definitely have to agree with you that the dolls produced in the late 80's, early 90's were the best from Mattel. Every time I even think of the name Barbie I always picture her with the Super Star era mold which is the same they used for Peach Pretty. Of course I had to own both dolls! I thought the same exact thing about her silver jacket when I de-boxed mine too! Lol
This barbie does look a lot like peachesNcream. Bothnof them are just fabulous barbies. I too tend to favor the 80s and early 90s barbs. You are so handsome. Nice vids to watch. : )
Hi Jason! When you said the peaches and cream Barbie, I really wanted to go on eBay and look how much it was. Well, I saw one was going for $20.95! It is up for bid. 😀
I miss you, I’m always watching your old videos and hoping you’re doing well, hope someday you be back bringing new content to this channel or just recording a message to us. Love from Brazil ♥️
do you remember or have one of the Jam N Glam Barbies? That was the first and only barbie doll I have ever had and was my fave until I lost her if you had one & could review that would be awesome.
I love the dolls up to when in the later 200s, straight body, the face change was temporary, the older face Is back but made up differently. I have older and newer dolls, my favorite is (Jewel Secrets Whitney), if you can Find her for a reasonable price, you may want to review her. I have her so I know what she's like, but For people who don't have her, it would be a help to review her.
I have news! On eBay, there is a Jewel Secrets Whitney doll for sale, for 30 bucks,ns he's nude with just earrings, but you could Get her, and look around for the blue dress and accessories, go into eBay, to find her, go under dolls and bears, write (Whitney Barbir), press buy it now, and scroll, you'll see her, just a heads up. I know you want that doll, so here is a heads up, let me know if you purchased her, if you try to get her new in box, be prepared, they are way overpriced.
80's and 90's Barbies were the best dolls. I agree
Mihai Carneol yes they were imma 90s barbie collector to

I just bought her. So excited! I agree that the rubber bend/snap legs are essential. Bring them back!

Superstar era barbies are the best!!!! My fav period is between late 80s-mid90s! The quality was beyond excellent
sphinx onyx I totally agree that hair honey in the texture of it so real right so real please call me back and tell me how real you thought that hair was as a little girl even now
I'd forgot about the ring!! ♥ I also love the material on her top. I remember when they used to made so much of her tops out of that 'fabric'.

We do need the rubber legs back!
CarlosSpungenMoss but the mad to move have better legs
Why do they make barbies so crapy? now they dont even have bend and snap legs.

Great review! Did she have that vintage Barbie smell?
I wish they would bring back this kind of boxing/packaging too but I feel like they won't because they don't put out these beautiful fantasy gown dolls anymore. Everything is so drab.
1980s-1990s Barbie's are innocent and beautiful tbh.
