  • MotoHorn final install on the 2020 Indian Challenger Limited. Final episode of my install, my idea and opinion of where I chose to put the Motorhorn. This was a challenge due to the Indian PowerPlus engine design. I was trying to keep the horn exposed and somewhat traditional to other installs on different motorcycles. Please look up your state laws to the warning and do/don't of horns and other devices. Arizona Revised Statute 28-954. Horns and warning devices.

      Where did you install the compressor?

      @@hancetransport I was trying to hide the compressor, but finally just bolted it to the left upper area of the plastic grill. The bolt is somewhat flimsy, but I managed to strap a few zip ties as well and it’s on! Maybe I’ll put a small video of the final install. I’m at the Apple Store fixing my computer or purchasing another. So, hopefully this issue gets resolved in order to upload more videos soon!

    Nice video, but wish you would've done the entire install i.e. wiring.

      Thanks, I agree. I got into the install not really knowing how to wire, but following the directions accomplished the task. Because I travel on my bike, I really wanted something to alert those on the roadway. I might take a look into doing a future video on the wiring.

      motohorn.com/usa/ I went on their website and they now have the complete kit, it includes the relay as well. After looking at their instructions, I was impressed with the details and explanation of how to install. The only unfortunate detail about the Indian Motorcycles they are not like the Harley's where the mounting is so much easier and assessable. Even though the Motohorn now comes with mounting brackets, this was not a option when they first came out with the product and I do not know if this is any help on the Indian Challenger mounting options. I will still consider making another video on where and what I did to make the mounting possible...it's not pretty, but it works and I have not had any issues.

    Did you have to cut the cover

    • @FACELopez
      @FACELopez  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Warren, I did cut two slots to allow the length of horn to fit. My reasoning was a horn as priority and purchase another cover later if needed. I’m still wondering why no one has made brackets or engineered a proper method for the Challenger.

    Not much difference in loudness

    • @FACELopez
      @FACELopez  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty loud, maybe the video doesn't do justice. It does get traffic/people attention when I need/do use it. I just which someone would engineer mounting brackets for the Indians and not just Harleys.

    Hey bud I just recently bought a motor horn for My street Bob I have a question. Art we supposed to using existing Horn Relay or do you want to a separate relay

    • @FACELopez
      @FACELopez  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the same oem switch because I bought a relay and fuse, per the instructions sent with the motohorn. So you’re right, always a good idea Whether instructed to have one or not (I say yes)👍🏽
