Physiotherapy some realities
1)Major portion of physiotherapy graduates dont have job or working with very less salery many physiotherapist left the field for lively hood
2)5060 physiotherapy graduates passed out each year in south India itself. 200 beded hospital only need 2 physiotherapist . Students passed out previas years remains hear as jobless how many hospitals should be there to accomodate this huge number
3)Job opertunities abroad also reducing substatialy each year, physiotherapist who migrated to US UK Caneda Australia works in supermarket Hotels petrol pumb etc.Many gulf countries now appoints employes who are natives of that country
4)Many hospitals now converting their physiotherapy department to Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR)HOD will be physiatrist (MBBS DPMR )role of a physiotherapist in this department is just a helper
5)Since there is no regulatory authority for physiotherapy in India somany unautherised practices (quakery)going on in this field This also reduces job opertunities
6)Now a days new threat also there... Bvok physiotherapy that is common in normal arts collage only 3 years, course. Hospitals appoint these people with less salary
7)Running own clinic need huge investment no patients approach physiotherapist directly reference from medical doctors is a must usualy they give pain killers to patient or ask commission for each reference. Majority of clinics closed already or in loss
8)"Physiotherapists are called as doctors "" these are only just canvasing words of agents during admision. In practical sence none of the hospitals, gov bodies allow this
9) If a person join BPT who are the benificiaries. Career guidance people who took admission will get commission. Collage authorities will get donation fees fine etc in huge amount after struggling 4 & half years. Private hospitals will appoint him as a trainee (slave)with out salary and charge him thousands for experience cirtificate after some years this physiotherapist will quit physiotherapy field for livelihood

I am licensed Physiotherapist in canada and already in process of DHA license approval. I am planning to move to Dubai with my family reason being for good education for our kids. I have, acupuncture dry needling, pelvic floor course n still planning to do more courses. I was wondering that am I eligible for clinical Physiotherapist position in dubai? How much I can expect salary?
Yes you are eligible. If you are registered physiotherapist in canada and worked in canada as a physiotherapist then exam is exempted for you. Only dataflow should be done

Cannot tell you an exact figure
It depends on multiple factors , experience, nationality , type and status of hiring facility etc
But yeah for asians starting salary is less as compared to someone who is Western trained

No job ... but you can do internship if u want to use that experience later on for license process , need to apply with rashid hospital..and you have to pay for it..

hello, is hcpc eligible in dubai? AND can i get dha on hcpc registration basis?
If you have HCPc with Uk experience as a physio then DHA exam is exempted for you .
Without experience no benefit of hcpc .you need to do whole process including exam
Can we do part time clinical physiotherapist with gym trainer??
Legally if your company is not allowing you cannot do... but if you get NOC from your fulltime employment company then you can do

Its really hard to get internship here. They prefer locals and their own students.
Still you can try login to DHA official site and apply there
But in private setups u can try to get as a assistant physio if you are available in UAE

That is for bachelors degree holder to work as a assistant without license. But in rare cases

The experience which you are using to get license in UAE..it should be as licensed physiotherapist from home country or anyother country where your worked

For wet cupping you need to have certificate and DHA license to practice in Dubai ...
Dry cupping you can do as a physiotherapist
There is separate license as hijama or cupping therapist in UAE
