Would using any of the existing GPTs to create a Mermaid.js representation of the plain English description of the architecture and then asking it to wrote out a summary be harder?..
From what I can see the only thing the AI does is pick one of the predetermined templates and you still do everything else manually. Hardly enough functionality to justify mentioning AI. Especially since you could have just had a list of templates to click on.
Hi Zoran - We actually do have 50+ templates (non-AI) that you can start from, and I think it's great if you have find a ready-made template that's perfect for your use case. www.eraser.io/examples But in many cases, templates are never quite what you're looking for because your use case is bespoke. We think AI diagrams are a great way to bootstrap a "personalized template". Like a template, it will still be something that you have to modify, but it's a lot better because it will take into account the specifics of your use case that you describe in your prompt. To clarify, the AI actually does translate your prompt into a diagram, it doesn't just pick from pre-existing templates.

Nice so now instead of using your brain to design the system you want your customers can draw value and make useful product you sell then blind to a system drawn by AI and then amend the python diagrams code to look like a designer … and when it comes to why did we do this it is costing us a bomb you say AI did it i did not 😁
What makes you say that? They aren't claiming that it does anything unreasonably complicated. It just generates a graph that includes the technologies you mentioned in your prompt.
