licensed from Mitsubishi of Japan. 2nd gen Delica sold only as single and double cab trucks was Hyundai Porter in South Korea from 1986 - 1996 (began to import to the Philippines and Latin America). 3rd gen Delica was Hyundai Grace / H100 van and Hyundai Porter Truck (Hyundai Porter Minibus sold in the Philippines). That’s why 2nd gen (1980s) Mitsubishi L300 (Delica) sold in the Philippines from 1987 - present as separate cabin of minibus as Mitsubishi L300 FB TYPE van (15 - 17 seats) and Versa Van (high roof passenger van, 12 seaters) with fual sliding doors was sold in the Philippines until 2012. FB TYPE VAN of MITSUBISHI L300 still in production in the Philippines.
It’s called CMC Delica in Taiwan (5 or 8 seaters) from 1986 - present with it’s new facelift. China has it’s locally built delica van called “SOUEAST DELICA”.
KIA BESTA (van) / BONGO (truck) was rebadged as Mazda Bongo (van/truck). With it’s Mazda Bongo cabin truck sold in South Korea as KiaMaster Bongo and Kia Ceres in overseas. Kia Bongo still in production in South Korea (LHD) and Indonesia (RHD) aka K Series : KC2700, K2700, Travello (Indonesian passenger van of Kia Bongo), etc…
Also it’s 2nd facelift of Right Hand Drive Hyundai Grace was built in Indonesia to be export to RHD countries like Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, etc…
모방은 아니고 당시에 현대가 미쓰비시랑 기술제휴 관계에 있던터라 미쓰비시에 의뢰하여 델리카를 뱃지 엔지니어링 형식으로 들여와서 약간 더 부드럽게 다듬어서 나온 모델이죠. 물론 싸이클론 엔진 기술 이전도 같이 받았다고 합니다. 94년~00년 미국 거주할때 델리카 본적 있었는데 그레이스랑 거의 같으면서 좀더 투박하게 생겼더군요ㅋㅋ그레이스가 좀더 멋지게 다듬었다는게 실감 났습니다^^
