A self care day is a most at least every 2-3 weeks hair, nails and little trip to tjmax with a lunch date with myself❤ P.s. I agree with O a little getaway every few months is nice too specially when you pick extra shifts here and there it’s good to have something to look forward to or reward yourself for all the hard work you do😊
I feel like I’m going crazy. I decided to settle for less in the hospital now I’m a nurse struggling in debt. I don’t make enough to pay for my self care days anymore. So exhausted

i would say during your preceptorship target the hospital and unit you would like to work on after you finish school. if you are assigned to a certain hospital/unit for clinicals and would like to work there, SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT on your performance and stay visible to the nurse manager so they remember you when you apply and interview. last, learn all you can while on that unit so you can offer that as an advantage over the next candidate during your interview.... 🙂

I’m just starting my journey with Christ on my part but I knew prior from little glimpses of your relationship with Christ so I was thinking abt it from a perspective of like getting advice on that area from somebody whose been on their journey longer bc it’s kinda hard but I see where you’re coming from, I didn’t think of it like that. I respect it though.
Aww so cute look at you with them plants 🪴. I think that raises another problem I have experienced in the work place women with kids and those without. As a mom of 7 kids I can still value things that are important or emergent to those without kids. So much judgment when your kid is home sick and people are like it must be nice and feels like a vacay Im like nah picking up puke and being a kids servant is not fun you do it with love. I was always supportive of those without kids but man it is some sort of anonmysioty between the 2 and it needs to stop! People with no kids matter and the people with kids do to we need to quit judging and being catty and bring each other up and have an understanding that we are all different and have different needs and what not. Im for it girl if those plants make you happy and you got to spend a day with them you go because like I been telling people and you spoke of here they will replace you in a minute so take the time for you its none of my business why you are not here as long as management knows and they try to get help to replace your absence which may or may not happen its just gonna be the day its gonna be and same goes for when Im not there. We must be the grace we need to each other because you sure aint gonna get it from the hospital thats for sure. I just saw you with those plants it reminded me of how toxic people can be to others when things matter. I may not have a green thumb but I sure can appreciate a pretty plant when I see one we all have something in our lives that means something, we shouldnt question it or put them down because you dont get it or think its silly because you wouldnt want that being said to you when something comes up.

I’ve had one of my plants for two years and if ppl saw how small Linder was they would understand why I take so much pride in my plants! & I agree, nobody should be JUDGING anyone about why they had to call out of work. & I hope you as a mom are taking time to pour into yourself and when you need to, I hope you have the support to take a break from your kids❤️
