Thrift to Treasure - Creating Cottage Style Decor using the NEW IOD Spring Release - Shabby Chic

- I had so much fun creating with the NEW IOD Spring Release in Friday's video that I'm bringing you along for another 3 Thrift to Treasure upcycles. I haven't had the opportunity to play around with each and every item within the release, but I've loved each and every one that I've used so far!!
Today, I wanted to create items that would fit within a cottage-style home decor. I chose colors that were warm and soothing, and the transfers and paint inlay went along with the colors perfectly!!
I hope you're inspired to try one of the NEW IOD Spring Release items and I can't wait to see what you create!!
*All items can be ordered on my website: www.sonnetsgardenblooms.com*

I love the teapot. It looks AWESOME that you kept it two-toned and left the lid, handle, spout and feet original.

Thank you for keeping the jar of paint long enough where we can actually read it. Many other TH-camrs they show the container of paint so fast you don’t know what it is and they don’t really say what it is so thank you again!
You’re welcome Kim! 😊
I don't know which one I liked better. The teapot was awesome. I loved the color, but oh, that lunchbox!!!! Beautiful! ❤

The teapot is incredibly beautiful. More great pieces!!! I want to try the inlays.
IOD truly has great products. I love the new molds. I love seeing what you all make with them, then we have to have them. Have you watched The Provincial Farmhouse? She has made some great pieces with the new items they released.
Thank you Charlotte. Honestly, I don’t have any time to watch videos. I wish I could, but I have so many things going right now that it’s impossible to. 😂
Everything you do is absolutely perfect and amazing! Thank you for your inspiration! ❤😊❤

Thank you Nancy!😊
new sub LOVE all your stuff I LOVER IOD
When I’m applying a transfer on a rounded surface I roll a towel lengthwise and make a U shape to sit the object in so it doesn’t roll around on me.
That’s an excellent idea! I’ll try to keep that in mind!😊
I Love the lunchbox! It really took on a whole new look!!
Thank you Regina!😊
Beautiful projects and inspiration! ❤
Thank you April!😊

I love the teapot and the lunchbox! Kicking myself for donating a teapot EXACTLY like it😢 ow I have to hunt down another one!
Thank you Katrina. Don’t you just hate it when you know you had one and now have an idea of what to do with it, but it’s gone. I feel your pain. 😂
The teapot is beautiful!
Thank you Becky!😊
The lunch box is my favorite. I have an old tackle box I can use. And my mom’s favorite flower was the daisy, so I will use that one.
That’s a great idea Katie! 😊
Love the teapot!!!
Thank you Cindy!😊
Liked them all. The lunch box was pretty dirty
I wish the floral elements in these transfers and stamps weren't so obnoxiously big bc they really are gorgeous I just don't know what I would apply a flower the size of my head to
It would be nice to have some smaller versions, but I am surprised at how many things I can apply these ones to! 😊
The rose on the teapot looks dimensional ❤. I also love the lunch box. I have one so I’ll be trying a transfer on it. How do you store the paint inlays after they have been used so they can be used again? Love ❤️ your channel!!!
I let them completely dry then put them in a plastic container with a lid. 😊
How do you decide when to use DIY paint vs. Fusion? Love your channel!
It’s really just a personal preference. The DIY paint will stick a little easier to a slick surface, but it really doesn’t matter. 😊
Hi Sonnet!! It´s my first time watching your channell!! Congrats for such a lovely tutorial!!😍😍😍
Just a question, are those beautiful transfers washable?
Hello and welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial. 😊 The transfers can be spot washed, but I wouldn’t completely submerge them. They have a sealer over the top, but it is advised to only spot wash over them. Hope this helps!
