Patti, I never thought to tease my wigs. Love the look you gained by doing so!!! I must search out a wig teasing comb. Thank you for your tutorial. But more than that, thank you for the support you give to other women who find themselves dealing with baldness. Sometimes I feel so sad, angry, and no longer pretty. Then I see you! A beautiful woman whose scalp looks very much like mine and I say to myself, 'geez, she is still beautiful!!!'. Just like my hubby says to me when I remove my wig. You have no idea what your video has done for so many! Bless your heart!!!
Patti you are amazing!!!!! I am new to wigs and when I received Voltage by Raquel Welch I had no idea how to style it. After watching your video I practiced and I was so happy that it looked so good. I am still watching your videos and every time I learn another way to style. Thank you so much. You are also a hoot and sometimes I just watch your videos to enjoy your humor, you can make a gray day sunny. Love you you little cutie.
Patti, you're so enjoyable to watch, as always.😃 I never would have dreamt of teasing a wig, but now I'm going to try this on a Reese that's ready to be tossed soon. That style does look fab on you, and very hot mama in the auburn!
I wish I lived close to you. We only have two wig shops in our town, which is rather large, but they are not near as talented as you are. The first wig I bought with the owner's help was not me at all. I want someone who can really look at me and say that's it. I have yet to see you in any wig that did not look good on you. You are so amazing and i know you really care.
Patti, thank you so much for sharing your magic fingers with us. I'm learning so much from you. I just have one question. I have very fine hair and have tried wig caps and wig bands, but nothing seems to help me hold my wig in place, I feel it creeping up my head as the day/night goes on. I noticed that you don't have any hair, but have never seen you place something on your head to hold the wig in place. How are you keeping it from flying off your head when you bend down or turn real quick?
If you are wearing a good quality wig such as a Jon Renau 100% handtied, mono top or open cap and if it fits perfectly you will not need anything to hold it in place. You may need to try adding our my sizing customization which is where we take the wig up or let the wig out based on your 3 head measurements. It you have a good quality wig that fits the only time you'll need something extra is if you are doing something really extraneous like exercising to where you are moving you head roughly. In this case we suggest the "It stays' which is a roll on adhesive and it works great. Here is a video on it: th-cam.com/video/4V-BjRixab4/w-d-xo.html.
Wigs by Patti's Pearls I have the same problem with my Jon Renau wig. I've only worn it 2 or 3 times, I usually sew in hair clips into my wigs at the back as my hair loss is all at front, I didn't do this with Julianne and it's slipped all over my head and had to pull it down all day. I'm looking for something that will hold my wigs securely in place and that doesn't pull and hurt the hair at back and top of my head when I have used clips. I have had some wigs for while but only started wearing them full time recently due to worsening hair loss.
I am scared to tease my wig. Could I obtain a similar look by putting hairspray on my hand and doing your "circle" motion at the base of the wig? I just love you
You will get some height but it won't turn out as well or hold as well without the teasing. Teasing will not hurt your wig as long as you use a teasing brush/comb that is made for synthetic wigs.
first time subscriber and love ur videos..So much good info.Question: Got a wig that is straight and comes below the chin.I likef the style when I saw it but not so much the perma tease..It feels so big on top and tried everything even down to thinning the wig which btw is thick compared to my thin fine hair..Any suggestions or should I just look for another wig..Btw, its a Paula Young Wig
There isn't anything you can do to get rid of the look and feel of permatease. If you have naturally thin hair I would suggest looking for a 100% handtied wig as these will be your thinner, more natural looking wigs. Best Wishes!
Hi Charmaine! Since your circumference is a 23 1/2", you'd fit a size large wig. Patti is wearing Anne which is an average and doesn't come in large. However, a very similar style that is only about 1/2" shorter is the Allure Large by Jon Renau, which should fit you. Here is the link to it on our site: www.wigsbypattispearls.com/allure-lg-cap-wig.html
Patti you are gorgeous. I'm looking at your tight smooth skin. Your neck looks like a young girl. You rock the blonde colors. I was sure we were the same age when I saw your first videos. Now I want to know what you are using on your skin!, whatever you are doing, don't stop. Blessings.
No, We do not do that. If you did that then there would be no point in having a lace front wig. Also, a wig fits everyone differently so if we cut the lace it could be too much for some people. The majority of people (99%) do not need the lace cut; however, once you try the wig on if you feel it has too much lace for your hairline you can always trim it but be very careful.

I love this one too, Pattie. The one you are wearing in that color will that fit my big head?

Do you sell teasing brush/comb that are made for synthetic wigs? If not where would I purchase one?
We sure do! You can find it under accessories on our website. Here is the direct link, www.wigsbypattispearls.com/teasing-brush.html.
Great - ! and afterwards, how do you get the teasing "out" of the wig for daily wear? thanks!
You would spray it with the Jon Renau HD Smooth Detangler and comb through with the Jon Renau Wide Tooth comb.
Patti, what color is the wig you are wearing PLEASE???
Hi Lea!
We think she is wearing the Anne and the color is 12FS8 Shaded Praline :)
What color are you working on?
Very helpful!

Patty....can you do this way of styling on any wig. Thanks. Karen
You sure can!
can you tell me if you cut off the lace up to the hairline with these wigs?

PLEASE WHAT IS THE COLOUR OF THE SECOND WIG WHICH YOU PUT IT ON IN THE END
