I'm not sure how I missed this video for the last 8 years. Kevyn remains one of my all time favorite musicians. I'm grateful for all the times I was able to hear and see her perform before I left Los Angeles. Great to see my good friend Jerry in this video. His playing, as well as Russell Ferrante's and of course Mike Shapiro are always top notch. RIP Mike. You are missed.

This is just so good. Kevyn’s voice and style is quite distinctive. And this performance just highlights what a natural and genuine performer you are. I was introduced to Kevyn several years ago through a local jazz program on radio in Sydney Australia and your voice and style immediately appealed. I had not been aware of your talent before then. It was unfortunately about the time when you appear to have stopped performing. At least we have all your recordings. When I hear a song on the radio that sounds like you I immediately scan it to confirm it is your voice. Thank you for your wonderful recordings.

It has been great listening to Kevyn"s evolution as a singer since the early days '77 Carmel Valley Rd and the Bellyup. Her vocal improvisation is awesome and takes Flora's work to such a higher level. I hope she'll do more songs by the soul of Brazilian music, Milton Nascimento

I've been a fan since her Dance of the Universe band with Peter Sprague in San Diego & have seen her perform many times at La Ve Lee, a now defunct latin jazz club in Sherman Oaks. I am saddened to hear she has ceased performing as she sings Brazilian music better than anyone & Shapiro's drumming is excellent on this show
