Hello friends, Demolidor speaking...I am the Developer and Creator of the Jack Styler Game, know that I was very happy for the constructive criticism and the tips for evolution...I had a good laugh during the video...Jack Styler was my first game, I had never made a game before and I learned everything by myself and did everything by myself...I intend to improve this game, launch new features and launch other games! (JACK STYLER 2 WILL RETURN! LOOK FORWARD TO A NEW GAME! ...MORE ACTION, SUSPENSE AND INCREDIBLE GAMEPLAY!)... I've already fixed the bugs you pointed out (shooting sideways, swimming bug, infinite grenades... crooked textures...) soon I'll be uploading updates that will also include a simple multiplayer mode. Thank you all for your criticism and compliments... I feel motivated to improve and make better games! --Demolidor
i'm excited to see what your games are going to look like in the future! just keep improving and learning and i'm sure you going to make something great c:
The reason the enemies are dying when they are attacking you is because the developer is using collision detection to check if the enemy should take damage and is likely colliding with a weapon on your character as most other games use hitscan detection or when using collision based have the script disabled when not in use.
The enemies quite literally run in your fist and die. While it is surely the result of bad code implementation, it would make for a funny mechanic if done on purpose.
Huh, I was thinking it was a different damage implementation issue: not properly separating who is taking damage, so they are damaging themselves as well as you, but the improperly disabled hit boxes makes more sense
throws infinite number of grenades "did noone playtest that?" They probably did playtest it and decided that is the right amount of grenades, which seems fine to me.
@warpvector You're missing a conjunction between "spelled" and "it's", which made the sentence into a run-on sentence. Don't act condescending and snobby towards someone who can't spell when you don't understand basic grammar rules. 😂
Was it worth it? Well first I need to go through the ISLANDS and eliminate the 6 BRUTAMONTS to unlock the entrance to the secret cave that gives access to Area 51. I need to rescue Chloe because I’m her ONLY HOPE!
I'm glad you mentioned the fact that finishing a game from start to finish is an achievement in itself. It's super easy to sit back and trash a game, but the fact that this person got this far is not unimpressive.
@@SetariM You still need some knowhow to navigate the programs and make the generated code function, if that's what they did. anyone who takes their career and progression into game dev seriously would never charge for this. This comes off a lot more like a cash grab. As a new game dev who has any pride in the stuff you make, you release this for free to get as much feedback as possible. Obviously your first game, or your first 10 games for that matter aren't going to be your "magnum opus," so they're worth a lot more in feedback than they ever would be in cash.
I'm making my first game now, (called Shadow Pulse)... And I've been making it for three years now :/ But it looks much more polished in terms of mechanics, to be honest. I work with indie devs making music and sfx. You really have to start small. The most impressive one I saw was this (then) 16 year old kid who had a natural ability for game dev. He made a few bullet hells and a first person maze style game for a game jam. After working with tons of indie devs, start with a small 2D project with good yet simple mechanics. This makes you better at game creation when you do have the skills and its nice to have something polished and playable. Best wishes my friend.
@@rawsoundscreation1278 Thanks for the answer. Yes, I know that I could have taken on too big a task, even though I initially chose the 2D format and genre as "simpler" for me. Everything is either AI Generated or an online asset (I believe any game enthusiast can tell the mutant model and animations from Mixamo) and I'm willing to bet that the game code was written with chatGPT, the protagonist was clearly made with 3D generative site, I suspect hyperhuman
For all the clashing store assets, seeing the default explosion visual effect becomes somehow jarring. As for the enemies just dying from proximity, it might be (probably is exactly that) that it checks for whether or not the damage is dealt for every frame of collision with melee weapons rather than at specific parts of the attack animation, so as long as you have a melee weapon on you (since it's all attached on the model) and enemies touch it, they get hurt.
Working on my first game (well, 3rd attempt at 1st game) now and seriously considering putting out something dumb just to get a feel for things. Who knows, maybe I'll end up on here if I rush it? lol alright time for the show!!
Yeah, I think for your first project, it's better to try & put together something that might be simple and dumb, but is at least *complete* - at least in the sense of being playable and having all of its features working more or less as intended. For one thing, you're going to have something you can put out there and actually say it's yours, you made it. That in and of itself can be a big motivator towards getting your next project going. For another, if you're lucky you'll get feedback from actual players that may help you improve in that next project. And, finally, finishing a project is kind of a skill in and of itself - knowing how to set reasonable goals and work towards them, rather than making each project an infinitely growing task list that will never actually see completion. Planning and design are the fun part, and it's far too easy to get caught up in some dream of the ideal game while putting off the hard and often discouraging task of actually making any of it work.
Most people live in the delusion of thinking they are capable. Better not try - and risk dispelling that notion. Some embrace it and become true Brazilians.
why do these developers pay $100 to put their "first game" on steam? same with the other games you've played, is it literally an attempt to make a quick buck???
As a beginner game dev myself, the fact that AI was used, everything is broken, and it's just so uninspired tells me this is more someone looking to make a quick buck than someone actually wanting to make a game
There are so many barely functional and not functional games on Steam, it's either some kind of resume padding or in Brazil it might be cheaper than $100 USD to publish a game on Steam.
@@JohnDoe11VII I can say it's not cheaper. Dollar here now is around R$6, so definitely not cheaper, probably won't even get back the money used to publish this mess lmao

Even if not perfect, the first game is always pretty impressive, I wouldn’t know where to begin
guys wake up, wiz dropped :)
Jack Styler's wife is actually just Rei Ayanami as an adult
If it was actually the tube in London the workers would be on strike like they are 8 days a week.
Most people live in the delusion of thinking they are capable.
Better not try - and risk dispelling that notion.
Some embrace it and become true Brazilians.
Jack Styler? Is that a weird reference to Jake Styles from Jake and the Fatman?
I really need to work on my game more.
why do these developers pay $100 to put their "first game" on steam? same with the other games you've played, is it literally an attempt to make a quick buck???
As a beginner game dev myself, the fact that AI was used, everything is broken, and it's just so uninspired tells me this is more someone looking to make a quick buck than someone actually wanting to make a game
I doubt you would even be able to break even with something like this. Or indeed generate any money from sales at all.
Can always put your first stuff on itch.
I work on the tracks of the tube and dlr. The rats down there are bigger than the enemies and prob need a hundred grenades to kill.
great vid
Bro was given so much smoke he had to go to the gasmen for help. Rip in piss in piece the real WW
Dang, that last level really had you in....The Thick of It 😐
I wonder what the point of the top-down view in the upper left corner was for, it's not like it's useful as a minimap while zoomed in like that.
I think you found an actual cursed game, also seems the dev was a big fan of the poison swamps from the Dark Souls games
Why does the air boat stage remind me of the biomes stage in Voodoo Vince
GODLESSNESS 😐
