As a matter of fact after his Alabama win Texas A&M still has 0 Championships. If I recall correctly Alabama went on to win 3 more National Championships.
He didn’t win a championship because it was Texas A&M. They were a 7-6 unranked team in the Big 12 the season before he started and top 10 team after. Tannehill was their starting QB the year before and was drafted #8 overall, Manziel won 4 more games than him in a much tougher conference. If he played on Notre Dame that season he would’ve won a national championship instead of Alabama
