- Got back to RV to find one of our strings of solar and Lynx Shunt not working. One of our Victron 250/100 MPPT sprung a leak, took the shunt out with it......
Replaced the MPPT and Shunt......
We can build you any size solar system for your RV anywhere in North America. I love talking solar with anyone, reach out anytime......

Wow that is one nice setup sir.
Thanks I appreciate it..... I love what I do and we love boondocking....the business, our lifestyle, the people we get to meet and help, it's all a perfect combo......
Nice setup
Thanks, we l love it.....
Great vid, I can't wait to see what the liquid was. This is definitely the setup I need on my Cyclone 🌀 4006. How much for a setup like this?
Hopefully I will get a definite answer from Victron next week....
As for cost it depends if we are talking the entire roof setup also which will be a "Part 2 of our System" video out soon. We got about $30k just into equipment. It gets pricey but we use it everyday and we don't regret a single dollar, it powers our life and our business....thanks for watching and commenting....
Capacitor blew out. Its the only thing containing a fluid in most electronics.
Yea that's what Victron said faulty capacitor. This is the first time I have ever dealt with it so it was new to me. Apparently its fairly rare for it to happen, I couldn't find anyone else online talking about a similar problem with a Victron MPPT. Thanks for watching and sharing your knowledge.....
What was it ? I’ve seen controllers cut open and never seen anything that looked like it had liquid in there.Weird
I haven't got the answer 100% yet but it looks like there is some an electrolytic capacitors in there that can have maybe borax in them...
I will get a definite answer out of Victron next week and do an update.....
@@ccrvsolarwhat was the answer from victron?
Wow...Solar look totally scary..way out of my wheelhouse. Looking for a system to run 15k ac and microwave for boondocking. What would something like that run..totally stock..not looking to break the bank but don't need something that big i wouldn't think. Also have a generator i could run a few hrs a day to replenish. Thanks
Hey Kevin, So no you do not need a huge dual 5000kVa inverters with 6600 watts of solar system to run A 15k A/C....even just a single 3000kVa Inverter setup would run that A/C. A dual 3000kVa is a little better since it leaves you more available 120v power beyond the A/C. It takes about 900Ah and 3000 watts of solar to freely run a single A/C during the day solely off battery and solar. That's about half the size system I have. If you don't mind running your genny here and there to catch up the State of Charge of your batteries then you can get away with less batteries and less solar. I would love to chat if you are interested....989-464-3314.....thanks for watching....
I'd say it blew a capacitor. they have oil in them.
Yea that's what my Victron contact made it sound like also....
I'm getting it sent in for warranty.....
I spy a @keepyourdaydream S2R shirt 😉
