@user-bk9jf9gh5p Actually, what you said is debatable. It's the point of view of Basra's linguistics, Kufa's linguistics disagree with that. You can look up sa and sawfa in the Quran and see that sa is used for the far future as well. Also, native speakers use these two words interchangeably, and most of them have never heard of the difference that you mentioned, I guess.
I have learned that when ما is used with past verbal sentences, it negates the sentence. And it will mean ما أكلتَ You did not eat But you write over there what did you eat.. I am confused here
