Thank you so much for this video. So nice to see your plant growing so profusely. I had give this orchid a try. 3 times actually. At least here in Europe, they arrive sick. All the time I had them coming to me with a disease on the leaves, it resembles a virus. Anyway, someday, I'm going to try again. After I receive a clear picture with the leaves. I want them green and pretty, no patters, like yours :)
Wow, but we sure get out fair share of diseased plants too here. I got mine from a private grower here that set up at a local show. Good buy for 25$ I watched you video on your pandurata.,😁👍
@@toddstropicals I think it appears on the 2 part of the orchid collection update in spring 2020. Looks so bad, has some ugly cicles on the leaves. I remember having those on the older leaves too. Didn't think they would appear again on the new growth.
Lovely blooms, I have a Coelogyne mayeriana. It is probably a few years from blooming as it is rather small but it has given me two new growths this year. Thanks for sharing, stay safe
"something's bothering my sinuses" I'm sure there's a "Less Than Zero" reference in there somewhere. Oops, party foul. Feel free to chill out and watch it. She's a beauty of a bloom. Congrats.
Beautiful Green flowers (my favorite) Also like the Coconut Palm looking leaves. Perhaps you've been sniffing too much Orchid pollen regarding sinus problems :)
I purchased a Coelogyne Mayeriana in February. Has 2 pseudobulbs and a new growth and that growth is growing fast. Was hoping it would bloom this or at least next year, now I know I’ll have to wait...bummer 😩
There's been updates and with massive blooms, but it got so big I sold it to someone with more room than I have at the new house. It's over five foot in diameter now.
Do you protect the leaves when you water it? The leaves look similar to the nun orchids. The leaves on my nuns start turning brown, so I choose to use a watering can to avoid leaves issues
Quick question: When is the right time to repot a Dendrobium Phalopsis? Mine have 3 new growth right now and I would like to change the media. I haven't change the media since I got it in the fall of 2019. thank you for the answer.
@@toddstropicals I guess I will find out when it blooms! It has two new growths right now and Im hoping they'll come with spikes. It is a really massive plant.
Gorgeous. I’m all for ‘easy to grow’ orchids! Although I’ll bet it wouldn’t be easy over here in the north west of England...😳🤣
You'd have to amend the light requirements but as long as you kept it warm and had plenty of room for it's grow.
Love so many things about this plant! Stunning contrast of green and black. Thank you!
I really like it also, but it does get huge!
If you ever don want him😍my home is open😊
Its leaves looks like ground orchids and nuns cap. It's very beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, they're way tougher and more Ridgid.
I am still catching up on some videos. It seems I am going backwards though. The blooms are very cute. I like the yellow with the dark in the center.

That's cool you got two new growths on it, I don't know it's growth habits but pandurata here grows like a crazy weed.
Thanks for sharing...I am jealous..LOVE..love how you call it a giant weed lol..The original Black Orchid
Well it does grow like a weed... Lol
Love the blooms. Gorgeous
Thanks Kim, it took three years but I bloomed it!
Beautiful! Thx for the plant background. Look forward to how you repot it
Pandurata goals 🙌🏼🤩
Really nice blooms...remind me of cyms a little bit. 👍
Yeah very similar really.
Congratulation!..I am glad finally bloomed for you.Stay Safe!

She's a beauty of a bloom. Congrats.
Great tip haven't seen it in years 😁 (Jamie Gertz was my teenage crush)
Ola amigo muito bom dia linda plantas eu amo a natureza é formidável
Gorgeous orchid. Very interesting lip! Very textured. Enjoyed your spotlight Todd!
Thanks!!! Fun plant to grow.
It's looks great! Congrats on blooming it! I really like the lip and throat details.

No telling around here, always something wrecking my sinuses.
Gorgeous
It is absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful
Thanks.

Maybe, maybe not, just have to be patient and wait and see.
Gorgeous blooms! love them! How much water does it need? Do you keep it dry in winter?
I do cut back just a tad but being a hot grower it still likes some water.
I would love to see an update on this since it's been two years.

@@toddstropicals I just got one. It's great to know what to expect thanks to your video and reply. I'll look for your updated videos. Thanks 😊

Oh no, these guys are one tough orchid, it doesn't matter if the leaves get wet at all. They're actually stiff and ridged.
@@toddstropicals ok great!

I usually repot when I see little root nubbins coming out of the new growths.
Gorgeous. Not really that special for me since that orchid is everywhere here..😅
Right figure there is lots of them there.
Mine is still spiking
Ahh good enjoy they're nice blooms.
I can only find the Coelogyne mayeriana (also green)
Probably a bit more compact than this giant.
Is this the same as marthae/verrucosa? I recently bought a marthae and it seems really similar.
They maybe similar, but mine was an affirmed pandurata

Oh yeah, you'll know when it blooms for sure.
