E-bikes aren’t for everyone, try it out just like you try out new food. It works good for me! I love the channel, thank you for mentioning me.

I've got two e-bikes. Living in a hilly area, I ride 10-20 miles a day, generally with the motor OFF. Good training with a 52 lb bike, eh? P.S. I'm turning 67. If my peak heart rate is reached, I can turn on PAS level 1. Not often but if hills are steep or high headwinds, I have the option. Love your serious/humorous show. Back into biking after a 35 year break and loving it.

Right on the money! As long as you're on two wheels it's all good. People with strong minds and wills tend to get a little bit on their high horse from time to time, but it serves us well to remember that we were not always strong. Getting stronger is a journey and will power and resiliency are developed over time. Some can intuitively figure out the process while the vast majority need to be taught. Strong guys like the first guy you mentioned would add tremendous value to the world if they taught the principles and shared the knowledge that enabled them to become mentally strong, rather than looking down on others who choose a different path. A group of my buddies got strong in only one season of riding and they were getting frustrated with a handful of guys that were wimping out on rides and flaking out. I had to tactfully explain to them that while we were able to motivate ourselves to get strong when we initially got dropped on group rides, our other friends need encouragement because beating them up on hill climbs and pushing them to do 40 miles when they're only capable of 15 miles is not having the desired effect. I could definitely make the case for an E-bike. Not every bike ride needs to burn my quads and for me, those recovery days are huge. Garmin is telling me to rest when I really want to be outside getting some air and enjoying the scenery. E-bikes allow you to do that while allowing your central nervous system and musculoskeletal system to recover.

Turbo329 very well said. I did a ride recently where my Garmin said 3 days to recover. Could have said just ride the ebike for a couple days.

I live on a hilly area, and i mean really hilly. I would be happy to have an e-bike as my "bike to work". Going to work is easy, but going home is a torture
