The bag is a telephone cord purse. It's from the 40s and sells for $150 and up, depending on condition. It's a great find. Congrats! I love the English set of three framed prints and hope to buy!
I was SHOCKED when I figured out the value last night as I was listing it! I knew I liked it, but I had no idea what the value was. I was also amazed that it was embellished with cords instead of beads. I learn something new every day! I'll be listing the three prints later on tonight, so stay tuned!
Great house, great haul! The phone cord purse could be worth several hundred because of its muti colors. The Bennington plates are for Escargot. The heart shaped dishes are copies of 18th century shortbread molds from Colonial Williamsburg. Hope Colchester is doing great for you. If you put books in a sealed container with kitty litter( I have a sneaky suspicion you have some) after a couple of days the musty smell should dissipate. Cheers!
Thank you for all of the information! I wish I had spoken to you before spending ages researching everything on ebay! How do you know so much???? I will definitely try the book tip - thank you!
@@WorthingtonHomeI am almost 72 and I opened my first shop in 1966 when I was thirteen. I have been involved in antiques my whole life, I could write a book! You met Arthur Liverant, I knew his grandfather, buying from him when I was fifteen. I think my best trait is that once I see something I never forget it. I live in a twenty-three room house that started out by the main structure dating to 1722, and it is full.
@@stephenholmes5362 it sounds like you've had a lot of interesting experiences! A good memory is no small thing - especially in the antiques business. I bet your house is amazing!
Oh i love the pottery!! The blue and the pink ! I’m a pink girly !! Can you tell ?? lol i would use those heart shaped trays in your booth for Valentine’s Day. My house has tin ceilings that are 12 ft high ! It was built in 1910. So many great books they aren’t that bad .. just air them out .. great tea cups too love the pink and blue with the fruit ! ❤
The pic of your furbabies on the sofa made my day! They are happy babies. I like all that you bring to your videos. I’m a cat owner, a retired teacher/librarian, and love porcelain. I just saw my first Ciroc tray yesterday! I didn’t buy it as I could not identify with the subject matter (fresh fish) but it was a beauty. I am now on the lookout for others. Thank you for all the teaching moments!🐈⬛🐈⬛
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos - and especially my fur babies! If you ever told me that Licorice would tolerate a cat being so close to her, I would have said you were nuts. And yet - look at her now!
I really enjoyed touring the house and learning about online auctions. You’ve added some beautiful pieces to your eBay store. As always, I love seeing the cats and Licorice. ❤ I noticed you were using your beautiful black handbag in the video. It is such a sophisticated bag.
I look at Auction Ninja all the time. I saw this sale before watching your video and thought to myself that there were things in it that you and Eric would like lol. Such a fun site to check out and find things you didn't know you needed.
I remember reading the Judy Bolton books. They had been my older cousins. They were my go too as I didn’t know about Nancy Drew then. But later I read them too. This cousin also had Beverly Gray mystery books. They were so much fun to read.
I enjoyed this video while writing yet another evaluation report (school psych). Do you miss those days? Lol. I'm thinking I will really retire after this year and start reselling!
Haha! I actually enjoyed evaluations - that was my favorite part of being a school psychologist. (Geek alert!) I'm sure retirement sounds pretty good to you about now.... Hang in there! ❤❤
I think that's it too. I haven't had escargot in ages. I always have to try to think about something else when I'm eating it. (It's not really snails, it's actually MUSHROOMS! Yup, definitely mushrooms....) 😂😂
No, I just bought a pile of things from the owner (who acquired the contents of the house when she bought the house). We'll divide the profits from the estate sale.

I was thinking escargot also, with Phyllis pastry and garlic butter! Yum!😅❤

OMG! I love those parts of speech frames! I’m a retired fifth grade language arts teacher. That’s my jam!
I’m not positive but I think those are escargot dishes.
Haha! I'll be listing them later on tonight, so stay tuned if you're interested!
@ I think you're correct!
What a wonderful old house - I could live there for sure - 😊.
Oh my gosh - so could I! It was so much better in person than I could convey on video. And it felt very warm and inviting, even in its run down state.
The traffic noise outside would drive me crazy!
@@lyndakling901 I live on a busy street myself - it's amazing how much noise a person can tune out after a while!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the haul! Nice suggestion about the heart shaped trays - they would definitely look nice in the booth!
Nice haul and video, thanks for sharing with us. ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I hope the heat was on while you were working in there! The original features of the house are great, and need to be preserved.
Yes, the heat was on and it was actually very comfortable!

The round trays with heart shaped segments are from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.
Thank you so much for the information!
The cute pottery divided heart shape dish is a cookie/shortbread pan. It is a repro creamware piece sold by the Metropolitan Museum Store.
Thank you for the info! I had to do some research before I figured it out. It's such a pretty design.
Love the old books no matter of the condition.
THANK YOU for validating my choice! I appreciate that we're on the same page. (Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun!) 😂😂

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I'm absolutely in love with my black bag - and I'm so impressed that you noticed it in that one quick video clip!

That's so funny! It's so much fun to browse Auction Ninja. Once I get started, I find it hard to stop!
Thst was a pleasant treat touring that old jome. It cod be restored nicely. Sharon in Texas
I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour! It was such a lovely old home!

I've never heard of Beverly Gray, either! Thank you for sharing!
I’m thinking the divided stoneware is for making Abelskiver ? Mine is cast iron, although I have seen them in stoneware. Great day for sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Full disclosure - I had to look that up - but it definitely fits the bill! And now I want to try some abelskiver because it sounds amazing!

I apologize in advance if you start checking it out and can't drag yourself away from the screen. 😂😂
@ LOL
Yes, I’m also thinking that the Bennington dishes with the six rounds are for snails (escargot). YUM!
I think that's it too. I haven't had escargot in ages. I always have to try to think about something else when I'm eating it. (It's not really snails, it's actually MUSHROOMS! Yup, definitely mushrooms....) 😂😂
I have the same heart shaped dish. I’ve used it as a mold for shortbread cookies!
I bet they look beautiful when they come out of the oven!
The Benning plates are for 6 escargots. . . and I can hear you from here saying, ew! 😂
Hahaha! You know me TOO WELL! 🤣🤣
My mom had those dishes in the kitchen on the counter..I think they were probably free from the grocery store with a food purchase.
I bet you're right! I hope the memory of your mom's dishes made you smile!
Maybe that heart shape dish is for baking cookies or fancy little pancakes???? First Bennington pottery I’ve ever seen for sale by any reseller.
It was so much fun to buy so much Bennington pottery all at once. Most of it has already sold!
Did you purchase the entire estate and are reselling?
No, I just bought a pile of things from the owner (who acquired the contents of the house when she bought the house). We'll divide the profits from the estate sale.
Please what is your ebay store name and auction site?
Thanks!

I would like the three noise makers. I tried to email you, hope it went
I'll be listing them tonight! I was listing for hours last night and finally gave up and went to bed. I'm hoping to list the books tomorrow.
