I implemented this yesterday. I wanted to see this to compare how someone else would do it. It's exactly same lol except I used one function for both cases, and called update_counter in if ajax success block. I am satisfied.

Ek hi post Ko itni bar like kaise kar sakte hai. Agar ek user ne pehle se like kar Rakha hai aur wo dislike karta hai to like count -1 aur dislike count +1 ho Jana chahiye q k user k pas only 2 options hai ek post k liye ya to like kare ye fir dislike. Ye kaise hoga pls explain

For any post one user can either like the post or dislike but not both at a time...so to handle this functionality could you suggest something??

This is just a small code for practice. And now u r talking about new requirement. U can do this via cookie or provide a login for user
