Thanks for sharing I grew up similar to you too! We can gladly say that we are proud of our parents. My Mom always says never to judge and complain about what you don't have because, there is someone in a worse condition. Thanks for sharing your story. If you are determined you can always make nothing into something
I feel you Wengi . When my mom was pregnant with me , she had depression ,when she gave birth to me , she had to stay in the hospital for a month , she couldn't see me because that would cause her stress . So for the year I couldn't really be near her often. Then my Parents divorced , 3 years later I was four , I was sent the hospital because I had panic attack , and it lead to something worse and stayed there for almost two months. For those years I really didn't have much contact with my mother , so when I met her I cried and cried because I didn't know who she was
My dad use to always work on the road (I have three sisters btw) when my 2nd sister was about 5-6 my dad came home for the first time my first sister hugged him then my mom but my sister cried because she didn't know who he was until later on
Your parents loved you and that's the most important thing. It's hard to not let the past bring you down when you've had no one. I also had no toys but my mom was schizophrenic and gave me no love, she just repeated her paranoid thoughts to me like no one likes you everyone wants to cheat you. And you know, this makes your mind broken. You can't just move on because this affect the way you're built deeply. We were poor too but that's not a really big issue for me. :(
+malá mia You need to understand that your family doesn't determine who you are. There's always someone who is worse off but that doesn't mean you can't change. You determine who you are by changing the way you think of yourself. Surround yourself with good people and think good thoughts. One of the best things about Human begins is that God gave us the ability to change. God bless :)
A lot of people are seriously going to call me a religious freak for this, so be it. I recommend that you talk to Jesus and ask him to come into your heart. Idc what religion you're from, whether buddhist, jewish, muslim, Atheist, Agnostic, Satanist, Wiccan, etc. Please attempt it(What's there to lose?) He answered me, and I guarantee you that he'll answer you. I refuse to utilize the word "pray" since I feel like it's the "traditional" and "religious" way of saying you're talking to God. Speak to him with all of your heart, and ask him absolutely EVERYTHING you're curious about. He'll answer you, just like he answered me.
I know..I have a verbally abusive, undermining parent (my father), who always said that youre not good enough, you have to be like that girl or this girl, no one will ever want you, you will never have a boyfriend, etc. I get that its affecting you A LOT, it gives me so much insecurities and on top of that, I have been diagnosed with OCD (which I dont know whether its a result from my childhood abuse, or genetics, or both). and its incredibly hard. I would trade any excess wealth for a great mental health, and supportive parents. but i get that everyone's fighting their own demons..and I dont know, just want to share my story & opinion
Wengie, after hearing your childhood story I got a new plan. It is to work more harder. You are making me do it. I am 10 years old and I am from India, but only after seeing your video I recognize that a person should be like Wengie. You are a role model to me.
Hi Wengie! I just stumbled on this video and was touched at how incredibly similar it sounds to my own life. The only difference being my parents moved to Austria, instead of Australia XD. I was left with my grandparents in China and also didn't recognise them the first time we "met" when I was old enough to remember stuff. We had very little money in the early years and my mum used to make me dolls and toys to play with, which definitely influenced my decision go into DIY on TH-cam. Luckily, they also worked very hard and we eventually had a very comfortable life but being a first gen immigrant really makes you appreciate tiny things that many take for granted. Thanks for a great vid that brings back lots of memories. Also, LOVE your cat X3
I came from a very poor family. My dad only finished elementary school and my mum didn't finish high school so they had to work 24/7 to get enough money for their two kids to survive and pay the morgage of a very small flat. My dad had 3 jobs, my got 2 so I could to go university and study law. I was crying a lot of times because uni was so hard, but I knew that I had no other choice, but to study hard. If I hadn't done that, I would have had the life of my parents who could never afford to travel or to go on vacation. Now, by the age of 30 I live in my own home I bought without my family's help. My dad was crying at my graduation ceremony. So yay for us!
+Peggy Sue they are retired, have a better (financially stable) life now because my brother and I can totally support ourselves without their help and now it's mine and my brother's turn to help them if they need anything (they usually refuse it :) )
I was born in China, now live in Uruguay. I've never stopped chasing my dreams, I lived a poor-happy life (didn't have much money but always stayed positive). I really hope that more people see this video!
Okay. I don't have like a big sad story but here I go. First of all, live in a really poor country (Honduras). When I was born, my sister didn't like me at all, untill I turned like 3 I guess, and at that age, I started singing and my creative part came out. When I was 4, a car runned my mom and I over, she lost her memory and didn't even recognize me, I was really sad about it, but in 2 weeks she was back :D. A few months later, my dad and my mom broke up, not divorced, but they were really apart, my dad moved to another city, I was sad, but since I was a kid, I new toy was enough to make me happy again. 2 years later, my parents went back together, so we moved to my dad's city, I suffered bully, not BIG bully, I was just rejected and stuff. 3 years later, my parents got divorced, I thought they were just apart, since it had already happened, but a few months later, I found the custody and divorce papers on my dad's office. My mom moved to another city, and stuff, then when I turned 12 I moved back with my mom and sister, and leaved my dad alone. My mom got married, and until I turned 13, I found out the reason why my parents fought the whole time, it was because my dad was filled with lovers, and I started hating just a bit my dad, but then I forgive him and we we're happy again. Now I left my best friend in another city away from me...my sister. Yep, she's my bff and I left her with my mom and step dad. I live with my dad, and we are in a money crisis, but not fighting for food, just a little hit :D. My plan is getting a Juliard or Berklee scholarship, and I'm still fighting for it :D. That's it :D.
omg- u r so inspirational! sigh and i thought my life was tough... looking back its like i was living in a mansion to what u were going thru! good luck on that scholarship- u deserve it!✌️
Stories like this are so important to shed light on different cultures, experiences and the possibly even traumatic events that others go through which we aren't even aware of. In my family studies class, I met so many people who had been through a similar experience and it's heartbreaking and bittersweet. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us, Wengie!
my dad said that he wanted us to live a better life than in mexico. but i loved mexico. over there u r a lot less bored and VERY not-lazy. he wanted me and my brothers to live with stuff he didnt have when he was a kid like toys and electronics. but because he wanted us to live like this, my brothers r the laziest things on earth!! because they r soo lazy, its my job to do anything that they dont do because they just "dont feel like doing it". they r so lazy and rely on ME to feed them. and one of them is OLDER THAN ME! once i didnt follow their orders and they were super mad. my little brother cried like a 1 week old baby (even tho he was 7) and my big brother said the first curse words to ever enter my brain. my parents even began to be a "little lazy". so i was forced to get their food against my will. im 12 and i still have to serve my 8 year old brother his food while he is on his phone. my big brother stopped relying on me once my dad gave him a piece of his mind when i complained to my mom. how he knew that i complained, idk. my mom probably told him. now my big brother hates me as much as i hated him when i was his maid. im actually still treated like a maid in my family. at least real maids get paid. all i want is to live in mexico with a family who actually pays attention to me.
I was always jealous of others (and how much 'stuff' they had) when i was in primary/early high school. Most of my items from back then were second hand/hand me downs and i never had any store bought toys either. When it was school holidays, my friends would be like "Let's go bowling/ice-skating/watch a movie" and i wouldn't be able to attend as i couldn't afford it. I tried providing other alternatives like picnics, but they weren't interested in that, so eventually i drifted away from being 'friends' with them as they thought i was 'boring' since i didn't know about the latest scenes from movies or the 'trendy' stuff. I guess when you're older, you just don't care anymore and realise that if your friends aren't thoughtful enough to take into account your 'situations', they aren't really your 'friends'.
+thealpaco I can relate to your situation and just like you, I drifted away from those 'friends' too.I hope you are now surrounded by people who truly cares about you.
That was me too! My friends would always want to go out and do stuff that required money but i was never able to afford it. Some of my friends even stopped including me in some of there outings that DIDN't need money and I would find out through Facebook or twitter. The only time i did something reletivly new was on christmas but i was always grateful for that and always looked forward to christmas. Shit i still can't afford newer things but I'm happy with what i own even if it's used or bought at some thrift store.
+thealpacow I know exactly how you feel :)!! I didn't even get a birthday party till I was in year 6 like the other kids but it's ok :) It's saved me so much money now because I am not used to having big birthday parties just ones with my bf or family or close friends :)!
It's so easy to see successful people who had lots of money and no issues with their family and think "I'll never be like them because of all my challenges growing up" but you have really opened my eyes and inspired me and I'm sure also lots of other people. Thank you.
I'm chinese too and my parents are also first generation immigrants. Yes they were also very poor but now life seems easy for them after working so much for 20 years.
I like the fact that you told the facts plainly instead of glamourozing them or dramatizing anything! That seemed a lot more real, and also helped me see that you are trying to help rather than gain sympathy or subscribers.
Hi Wengie! When I watched this video, it broke my heart! Just seeing that you are still going strong and doing amazing hacks and diys, inspires us all! You deserve every single one of your subscribers and likes and many many more! You are one of the most inspiring, creative and bubbly person I have ever seen! Keep going strong Wengie!
That's so sweet that you had that attachment to your grandparents and your parents must have been so brave to do everything they did for themselves and you 💖
I would cry too, if I didn't recognized my parents at that age. Will you cry at our wedding when I read the vows about how much I love potatoes, you, and potato accessories? I've already got it proofread by an English major, he said it was the best wedding vows ever and sold me a golden Magikarp too.
I went through a lot. A bit like you. I was born with two dad's and one of them didn't want me 😢 so at least I had my other one! 2 years later I found out my dad who didn't want me was in prison! I for some reason hated myself! I didn't see my dad for 6-8 years and now I'm 10! He left when I was about 2 and then I was at my aunties house and she said that we're going to visit my dad in prison. At this point I was about 8. I said '' he's not in prison'' I totally forgot about my other dad! We arrived at the prison and I was crying. I didn't know anyone there. I was yanking my aunties arm saying I want to go home! We finally reached my dad's table and I was crying! I didn't want to see him. He didn't want to be my dad! Finally, I got used to him and we played some games and things like that. A few months later, he was realised from prison. He had me for the night. Now I see him every other weekend. I don't know if he still wants to be my dad 😢. Love you wengie xx
BUT I DON'T KNOW I...... I...... WHAT WHAT LIFE IS THAT I..... ENOUGH IM GONNA CLOSE THIS VIDEO BECAUSE IM SO SHOCKED THAT I CANT EVEN READ ANYMORE OF THESE LIFE THINGS I REALLY CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES AM I READING THIS CORRECTLY BECAUSE I NEED TO KNOW IF IM CRAZY........................ ONE QUESTION AM I CRAZY? I THINK IM A CHATTERBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!................... SORRY TO INTERRUPT YOU WITH THREE REPLIES UM......................................................... BYE HAVE A GOOD DAY GOOD LUCK ;)
Awesome_Gamer Girl I’m so sorry for you...keep it up you can do it just chase your dreams! Everything should come back to normal! I hope that this comment help you!
You are so amazing and I love how you kept on going even when you got knocked down. I am sure that everyone will agree that her story is inspirational and can help anyone to aspire to their dreams. You are just so amazing I love your story and everything that you’ve learned from it. You’re amazing Wengie.
I feel you. My Papa is still going around doing jobs like cleaning and he literally had 3 jobs but quit only one bcs the doctors told him he was overworking himself and he doesn't look like his age at all. My mom, meanwhile has a life either in a kitchen or where she cleans with my dad so yh it's slowly starting to get better. And I'm so thankful to them they only do this for me and my 2 bro's future
This kinda happened to me to so my mom sent me to china to stay with her sister for 2 years and I would always FaceTime my mom and I though that she was my aunt and I also cried when I was left with my parents and I had to learn English by myself too (before school at least) my parents were also poor back than so we lived in a apartment but now the apartment we used to live in, my dad is the landlord of it we own a restaurant and my grandpa also owns a actual apartment that they started from scratch in Binghamton. I never rlly got toys because I would get hand-me-downs from my older sister and my parents wouldn't rlly like to buy new clothes for me very often so I kinda think that's why I'm a tomboy and I hate dressing up (I haven't worn a skirt or a dress in like 9 years and I'm 11) and than my mom had my brother which was at the time where we weren't THAT poor so he got a lot of toys and good stuff so now he is spoiled and a brat he is 6 years old and has his own I pad that he stole from me. I'm just getting off track now lol 😂
Janette Marasigan THIS IS NOT A LIE U DONT KNOW MY LIFE MY LIFE IS PROBABLY WAY HARDER THAN UR LIFE AND LIKE WENGIE SAID IM NOT TRYING TO GET SYMPATHY I JUST WANTED TO SHARE MY RELATED CHILDHOOD LIFE
My story is not that sad but here is a breif story When I was born idk if everything was perfect cuz I don't rember... but I think I was 5 when my dad got on drugs, he started to hurt my mum, one night I was in the bath I got out wasn't dresses but mum was in a bigger fight then usual so she got my 3 brothers and we went on the streets (I didn't have time to get dressed so my oldest brother gave me his shirt) mum called my cusons and we stayed there that night, My mum and dad are not devorsed...after that we had no where to go so we lived at my mum best friends house who at the time her girl was my bestie but we had fight, her mum was OCD, so every Sunday she sent us outside with my oldest brother watched us(he just played his iPad) while they clean, one time me and her girl got into a fight, she had rocky cement and she was bouncing my head on it, when I got up I banged her head agenced the corner of a brick, then her mum came😑 my brother said he didn't see her sit on my head but they where fighting! So we both got into trouble but.. she got a pillow and water I got nothing!!later that year mum moved to a diffrent house (in the same state) and mum gave dad one more try... one time when my mums sister was over mum and dad had a fight so mums sister called there dad (witch is a cop) so he was yelling I think I was 6-7 when this happens but dad got his stuff and went to his mums aka nanas, later that night he climbed through the window and said he forgot his phone mum said he smelt and acted drunk, we got spooked I was shaking, in early 2012 mum said we were going to the Gold Coast, but she said that so we would get into the car we ended up moving to a diffrent state, we went to a refuge, we stayed till 2013, we ended up moving to a house stayed there for 2 years but it was too expensive so we moved to a cheaper house but more modern! It was gr8 but mum thinks the owner didn't like us cuz we got kicked out after 2 weeks!!!😖then we had 1 week notice to get out of there!!but good old mum extended it ! By a week, we had to move every thing into a shed thing, we had nowhere to go so mum payed for heaps of hotels until we got a house! We ended up going back to our home town for 2 weeks😊I got to see all of my family and stuff! When we got back, when we were on the way to our hotel we got a call! We got accepted for a house!!!!!! And we lived there till this day! I'm 99% sure dads off drugs🙌🏻 or tho I hardly ever see him😕 Ik some people has it worse then me tho😊
Jaidyn English that story was interesting i scroll through the comments while watching the video and i read ur story instead of paying attention 2 the video thumbs up if u scroll through yhe comments while watching
Meh Feeds I love how after going through all that your still staying and thinking positive I wish there were more people out there like you I hope you never have to go through all that ever again xxx :)
That's pretty much how my brother grew up, cause he was 7 when my parents came to the US to detroit, where my dad was studying to get his PHD at wayne. I remember my parents telling me that they used to use folded up clothes as pillows to sleep on bc they couldnt afford to buy any, and how breakfast cereal was a luxury. However, by the time me and my younger sister were born, my dad had a steady income from a job that he got as an engineer (bc of his PHD), and we moved from Detroit to the suburbs that had great school district but also full of really privileged kids. Me and my sister never had to go through any of the hardships that my brother and parents lived though, which has always made me feel incredibly spoiled. Even now, my dad is working to put me and my younger sister through college, which is also a privilege a lot of students don't have. Even though my dad can be an asshole sometimes, I am eternally grateful to him and my mom for all they have done for me, to the point that I don't even know how to pay them back for it. It is very clear to my parents how important education is, bc it is from studying hard that my dad was even able to make a life in the US for himself and his family. All I can try to do is put his money to good use and study well, except its easier said than done since I'm not very smart >___
+momokokochuchuchu Aww I really enjoyed reading your story too :) I'm so glad it's so much better for you now and you sound like you have bomb parents :)!!!! Definitely study hard because having your college degree paid off is an incredibly awesome thing :)!
Sam here we are really strugleing but it gives me confidence to here about Wengie and how she lived and who she is today, and to know that someone else is struggling too because all my friends are rich😦
+Cheernastics Forever 101 I am really sorry my friends are poor not like poor poor they still have good things and I am rich and I am not trying to brag but I don't act like am all that so I just want u to know that you are okay
Aw, this is such a heartwarming story. It makes me truly grateful that I have a stable life. Wengie, you deserve all the great things you have now. You are so successful, beautiful, and humble! Much love from Shenyang, China~ 🇨🇳
I grew up the same exact way. Both my parents went to live in Canada and I stayed in India with my Grandparents. I'm also really proud of my parents today because they went through so much for 5 years. And in the end when they came to get me i didn't know who they were. Thanks for sharing your story with me!
Much respect for you and your family. I can definitely relate. I thought that I had it worse but now, I should be thankful of my situation. I'm also an immigrant, I moved to Canada when I was 7, now I'm 14. Times are tough sometimes, worrying about money and bills, not getting new things, not having as much luxuries as other kids. But I get very sad when I watch my parents work so hard and when they don't watch over their health. Sometimes I think: they don't desrerve this. They earned their degree but it has all gone to waste. But you had it much worse and you turned into such a beautiful lady; inside and out. I will look brightly to the future. Thank you Wengie ♡
+Tatty_Eternal Don't feel like their degree has gone to waste, the knowledge is already inside their heads, a paper means nothing, well...it means something in this cruel world but hopefully you get what I mean. xx
+Tatty_Eternal Aww thank you :)!! I love hearing your story too :DD I'm sure that their work ethic will put you in a place that is advantageous over many other people :)!!
Wengie I know this is late for this video but if you see this you are so inspiring and so freaking beautiful!!! You look like the worlds prettiest anime girl!! I love your diys
And all of your little talks, they're so inspiring and it really reminds all of us of how lucky we are, and I know the world is lucky to have youtubers like you. Thanks so much for being here!!
Selma Castillo if you think she is ugly then stop watching her videos first of all if your gonna bring negativity to this beautiful girl then why are you here in the first place????😒
My parents are first generation immigrants from China too . This story made me happy because it kind of reminds me of my parents and how hard they worked. :)
i just wanna say pls dont share your info on social media cause you think that people wont do anything but please be careful. I know you are only 10 but please just dont put our personal info for the world to know
Same, my dad use to tell me that I cried every time I saw him for 2 months because I didn't recognize him at all because we were separated for so long.
i feel like if your parents come to america for a better life they are always going to start with nothing. my dad came to america because we had a poor family and he had nothing. he did it for a better life for me and my siblings and i am very grateful for the good start.
This similar to my family my parents are from Poland and when they immigrated to the US it was hard for them but they made it through. Every year we still visit Poland to see our family. 🇵🇱
when i was a baby my parents forgot me in the house when they were on a road trip for two days so i was like: **starving to death on the floor playing with stuff**
Alina Ali same, were not super poor but my mom and dad were running low on money and we still have loads of things to do and my mom and dad have to both go to work so I only see my dad a night because he works all day and my mom works a my brothers and my school so we can get more money and we're hoping my mom will get a pay check soon so we can get all are needs. Ps I am also saving my money to.
you are very mean daria males she did not have the choice of how her life was and NOW she has used that experience to be more creative so if you don't like that you should not be watching this video. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME !
so happy to see yr creativity and positive attitude! and you are really glad to move to Australia as China will definitely prohibit freedom and autonomy.
Thank you! I agree I probably wouldn't fit in very well in China 😊 I was actually speaking to someone today who also came from China a few years ago and she is glad she can be more free here and creative etc.
I went to America when I was 4.And stayed at Malaysia before that. But I was told I was born in America.I don't remember much from my childhood before 7.I feel like Wengie has grew a lot. She's become so reliable and social.
wengie- i can only say one thhing. look at all these encouraging messages. we all love you. i belive someday u can change the world even though your circumstances are not that great. ive been through a lot too. we are there for you.
Jaeda Hua God... your proffile is literally Wengie's Beautifull face?? Are you sure thats exactly you? Are you the twin sister of Wengie??? Bloody Hell... God... Jeez... 😂
Such a good story - my family have been pretty well off for my whole life but I still am so grateful for being able to have the things I do / did. Especially all my asthma medication!
@@samanthavillarreal7504 um.. no not everybody just wants attention. you actually just offended me because I meant that when I said it. it's my opinion. but whatever, I guess. I think you don't understand that you are offending some people.
Wengie my life was like yours my parents didn't have a lot of money my dad had to go to America because of the war same with my mom my mom got lucky and a family choose to take her in and pay for her high school and college and my mom met my dad they dated for a while and then my dad purposed and they got married and had my older sister Stacey then they had my older brother Jeremy and then there was me and my little brother Kyle my dad used to work as a manager but he didn't get paid much and at the time we were living in a apartment then when my dad found a better job we moved into a single home and my dad paid for a really good school and they have a hard life of work but they like it I'm super proud of my parents and most of us are in highschool it's tough but we still try. 😄😄 Edit : to all those who said "why did you tell your parents life story?" *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=^=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* I told u this because my parents had the hard life, I grew up to have a pretty average life, I was the first generation is born in America. I wouldn't be here without my parents, kids, teens, adults, if u still have ur parents, make sure u love them, thank them for everything, because one day, they won't be there. Celebrate life.
Oh, Wengie! Thank you so much for sharing your story with all of us. I am incredibly sorry for how life was when you first went to Australia. I'm really glad that life started to get better. I mean, your parents were right! Even if you come from a family of lower status than those around you, you can really far...and you did! Look at all that you've done now. Thanks again for sharing. I love you! You're one of my favorite TH-camrs ever!
My parents got married when I was 3 but divorced when I was 4 my dad has a Girlfriend and my mum has a husband and I have a sister but with a different dad my step dad is not that nice to me and I don't feel loved or cared for at all sorry I just had nothing and no where else to write this xx

You know, usually I can tell the difference between Aussie and English accents. but I honestly thought you were from the UK. but then when you said you're Aussie , that's when I actually heard your accent.
I'm so glad you came up and Now you have a lot of stuff and I really sorry that you did not have toys but I guess that made you who you are today I am glad your parents and you made good decisions *WE ALL LOVE YOU WENGIE!!*♥️♥️♥️
Not to take away from your story but lots of people coming to Aus/NZ were poor people looking to get ahead in countries that have so much opportunity, so it might have been rough at first but you can achieve so much, this is something that kiwi's and aussie's have that many other people don't, so some people just can't get ahead because its much more difficult in there country to do so.
when I was like 1 or 2 years old my family were in Burma,Asia the soldiers caught my dad and put him in prison cause we were in my mom country and my dad was like new and my mom said we will be safe if we pray to God and I was very little we went to lake with a boat and it was really hard there my dad was free and he found us and a helicopter save us and brought us to US here and I came here 8 years ago 2009
You've been through a lot Wengie,but at least u made it u r soo CREATIVE I mean,u made a tennis ball into a doll because,u or your parents had enough money so,u made a tennis ball into a doll!!!!!!!! U R NOT ALONE WE R HERE 4 U!!!! GO,WENGIE!!! XOXO,ALYSSA .E. FOR,WENGIE
Don’t worry. Once, I had to stay with my aunt before and I never met her before. My mom lived 2 blocks away from my aunt, and I missed her. I was supposed to stay with my unrecognized aunt. The first night, I was supposed to be sleeping and I packed my stuff and walked home. Always recognize your mom and dads and other family members. 💜
Wengie, you are the most inspiring, strongest person I know. You are also so brave and grateful. I have been watching your videos for a while now, and I’m inspired by YOU. ❤️💝💞💕💘

And you know, this makes your mind broken. You can't just move on because this affect the way you're built deeply. We were poor too but that's not a really big issue for me. :(
+malá mia I can relate to this. Not having a parent who shows love can have an impact on you for the rest of your life. It's very hard to overcome.
+Amanda Kallie definitely ( since I'm also religious)
Wengie, after hearing your childhood story I got a new plan. It is to work more harder. You are making me do it. I am 10 years old and I am from India, but only after seeing your video I recognize that a person should be like Wengie. You are a role model to me.
Same here ❤️❤️❤️
My idol 💞💞
Aww thanks for sharing this it is touching and congratulations on your achievements ☺️☺️☺️☺️ *hug*
wengie i love you love from pakistan
Maqaroon I like your name😀
Maqaroon ☺
I'm actually crying reading ur comment
I'm so proud of u for persevering through those hard times! I hope u and ur family are very happy and better now!! ❤️😊
Well congrats for your wonderful life now! I wish you a happy 2016
where are your parents now? and your siblings? just curious though 😄😄
+Claire Hawkings thank you , same to you :)
+Peggy Sue they are retired, have a better (financially stable) life now because my brother and I can totally support ourselves without their help and now it's mine and my brother's turn to help them if they need anything (they usually refuse it :) )

That is soo sad 😭😭😭😭😭
that is so sad
I am so sorry
omg- u r so inspirational! sigh and i thought my life was tough... looking back its like i was living in a mansion to what u were going thru! good luck on that scholarship- u deserve it!✌️
Keep fighting for that scholorship I know u can do it (btw I'm Romanian)
wengie your family is in your Big Warm HEART ❤
True
awwwwww so cute
soooooooooo true Wengie is literally soooooooooooooo nice
It is trueeee.....!!!!!! WOW
Yeah they will always be with u
Stories like this are so important to shed light on different cultures, experiences and the possibly even traumatic events that others go through which we aren't even aware of. In my family studies class, I met so many people who had been through a similar experience and it's heartbreaking and bittersweet. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us, Wengie!
my dad said that he wanted us to live a better life than in mexico. but i loved mexico. over there u r a lot less bored and VERY not-lazy. he wanted me and my brothers to live with stuff he didnt have when he was a kid like toys and electronics. but because he wanted us to live like this, my brothers r the laziest things on earth!! because they r soo lazy, its my job to do anything that they dont do because they just "dont feel like doing it". they r so lazy and rely on ME to feed them. and one of them is OLDER THAN ME! once i didnt follow their orders and they were super mad. my little brother cried like a 1 week old baby (even tho he was 7) and my big brother said the first curse words to ever enter my brain. my parents even began to be a "little lazy". so i was forced to get their food against my will. im 12 and i still have to serve my 8 year old brother his food while he is on his phone. my big brother stopped relying on me once my dad gave him a piece of his mind when i complained to my mom. how he knew that i complained, idk. my mom probably told him. now my big brother hates me as much as i hated him when i was his maid. im actually still treated like a maid in my family. at least real maids get paid. all i want is to live in mexico with a family who actually pays attention to me.
btw, u look soo pretty!!😍😍❤💖💘💝💟💗💞
Mary Valle awww your story makes me cry 😭

Mary Valle I'm so sorry! God put you here for a reason so ang in there and just trust god and he will get you through this i promise!
I glad u understand that.. some people would never know
That was me too!
I didn't even get a birthday party till I was in year 6 like the other kids but it's ok :) It's saved me so much money now because I am not used to having big birthday parties just ones with my bf or family or close friends :)!
you don't even get a birthday!!!! that's so sad 😑😑😑😑
Wengie dont worry u made it this far without your parents
She explained that she’s had her parents for a long time...
Um Ok?
Hi Wengie! When I watched this video, it broke my heart! Just seeing that you are still going strong and doing amazing hacks and diys, inspires us all!

Such a heartwarming moment with you, I wish that we could have more. These heart-to-hearts are so touching to the heart.

My story is not that sad but here is a breif story
When I was born idk if everything was perfect cuz I don't rember... but I think I was 5 when my dad got on drugs, he started to hurt my mum, one night I was in the bath I got out wasn't dresses but mum was in a bigger fight then usual so she got my 3 brothers and we went on the streets (I didn't have time to get dressed so my oldest brother gave me his shirt) mum called my cusons and we stayed there that night, My mum and dad are not devorsed...after that we had no where to go so we lived at my mum best friends house who at the time her girl was my bestie but we had fight, her mum was OCD, so every Sunday she sent us outside with my oldest brother watched us(he just played his iPad) while they clean, one time me and her girl got into a fight, she had rocky cement and she was bouncing my head on it, when I got up I banged her head agenced the corner of a brick, then her mum came😑 my brother said he didn't see her sit on my head but they where fighting! I'm 99% sure dads off drugs🙌🏻 or tho I hardly ever see him😕
Ik some people has it worse then me tho😊
Jaidyn English

+Tatty_Eternal Don't feel like their degree has gone to waste, the knowledge is already inside their heads, a paper means nothing, well...it means something in this cruel world but hopefully you get what I mean. xx
+Mariana Beaven thank you. Yes, I get what you mean hahaha. You are right, at least they learned something ^_^
+Tatty_Eternal Aww thank you :)!! I love hearing your story too :DD I'm sure that their work ethic will put you in a place that is advantageous over many other people :)!!

so happy to see yr creativity and positive attitude! and you are really glad to move to Australia as China will definitely prohibit freedom and autonomy.
Thank you! I agree I probably wouldn't fit in very well in China 😊 I was actually speaking to someone today who also came from China a few years ago and she is glad she can be more free here and creative etc.

Edit : to all those who said "why did you tell your parents life story?"
*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=^=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*

I wouldn't be here without my parents, kids, teens, adults, if u still have ur parents, make sure u love them, thank them for everything, because one day, they won't be there. Celebrate life.

You know, usually I can tell the difference between Aussie and English accents. but I honestly thought you were from the UK. but then when you said you're Aussie , that's when I actually heard your accent.

Your story is so inspirational!!! I hope you continue being a TH-camr and inspiring other people
Not to take away from your story but lots of people coming to Aus/NZ were poor people looking to get ahead in countries that have so much opportunity, so it might have been rough at first but you can achieve so much, this is something that kiwi's and aussie's have that many other people don't, so some people just can't get ahead because its much more difficult in there country to do so.
when I was like 1 or 2 years old my family were in Burma,Asia the soldiers caught my dad and put him in prison cause we were in my mom country and my dad was like new and my mom said we will be safe if we pray to God and I was very little we went to lake with a boat and it was really hard there my dad was free and he found us and a helicopter save us and brought us to US here and I came here 8 years ago 2009
