    This is great. I've just started dojng bobbin lace (shear curiosity of how things are done).
    I hated the uneven edges and after playing about a bit, i found that pure halfstitch had a straight edge, but isn't strong. I figured that having a straight passive pair on the inside would help, pin under 4 for separation and halfstitch pin halfstitch edge would work. Came here to see if there's a better way. What vindication!
