I also saw someone throw out the idea that Guernica, much like Zeke, heard stories, or specifically Coles play, about Vandham and decided to emulate him, though taking a step further by taking up his name and even appearance somehow. Don’t think that’s likely, but Idk that’s possible.
Also It’s likely that Lanz animations are cancellable either by moving or arts, and they just have big impactful ending animations. Least I assume. I hope.
I hope Lanz gets something like NG+ Zeke's Eye of Shining justice that speeds up those animations by 300%(Just like put it where XB2 has art->art canceling instead of NG+). I guess you could call it an Overdrive :P.

I don't agree with Vandham and Wild Ride being one in the same, that straight up makes zero sense, I think it's far far more likely that Wild Ride and Vandham are opposed to each other, with Wild Ride being an emissary for the real enemy, with him injuring Vandham, resulting in the main group ceasing their fight to focus on Wild Ride in order to try and protect Vandham.
Maybe Gernika Vandham was part of the group that WR was a part of, but left when it became too corrupted. Maybe WR, or whoever constitutes WR, was a previous partner of GV? It feels like there’s some history than we know of between them
At 31:00, talking about how the characters always face the enemy this time, that's actually a hidden camera function in battle in XC2. During battle, if you click in the right stick, it locks the camera onto the enemy and the character you're controlling actually strafes around the enemy while always facing it. It's a weird function that I don't know why they didn't bother mentioning (well, whatdya expect from the game's tutorial system), but there you go. The camera lock gets broken if you even slightly move the camera manually though.
So at least with this game it seems this function is actually default and you are free to move your camera around without breaking the lock.
I hope we keep "Mr Wild Ride" as a community name to avoid spoilers when we'll refer to the giant after the game is out.

That orange line on the ground after running away from the aspar, I'm pretty sure that's just for objective navigation. It only appears outside of battle. Once the aspar drops aggro, that orange line guides you toward the hexagon objective to the left.

There was a point where they forgot to put "mysterious woman" as her name in the release date trailer, and they just straight up namedropped her as Melia before going in and correcting their mistake, so while technically possible, I think this has already been unintentionally disproven

With that said.....Mio's totally an amnesiac Nia and Nia's doppelganger took her seat of power as well who turned out to be her revived sister who somehow harnessed the power of the conduit allowing people with marks to summon blades who need to kill in order to send their souls to sustain an almighty god for each nation hence Taions line and each god is in fact a comatose Alvis and Pyra/Mythra (who are fused back into Pneuma) and while Alvis turns them into ether energy that is keeping Keves people alive since they aren't able to absorb ether in the world normally, Pyra/Mythra reincarnates the souls they're given as blade people for Agnes who feed off the natural ether of the world and the ouroboros are simply fusions that break the cycle and sustain themselves without the need of ether but causes the fog beasts creatures to appear to due ether being offset by a being that doesn't need ether and the final boss is a fog beast version of Galea. Screencap this, I just spoiled the game.

my current theory about the species thing is that everyone's bloodlines have been mixed for so long that the differences between species are now superficial now. we haven't even heard the words that are used to refer to them and the term 'blade' is already being used by something else. i think we might not even have them be considered races and they'd just be seen as variable traits that people can have at this point.
That absolutely seems to be the case. Zeon looks like an ordinary Homs, but has clearly visible wings, whereas Ethel has long, silver hair like a High Entia, but no wings. Unsure how Blades factor into the mix on the Agnus side, but we know Flesh Eaters are still a thing at the very least.
@@tried.4thdslip Maybe Klaus, at the same time he combined the Titans, made the Blades mortal and able to reproduce, so they could live normal lives after that point?

If the Blade summoning ability is tied to the conduit tattoo, it is likely going to be based on the concept of contacting/linking with the Conduit. In Xenosaga, trying to link with the Zohar by force just results in you basically being transported everywhere, destroying your body, so a link by proxy through a tattoo could drain your life or attachment to the lower domain using that concept. However, if you are chosen by U-Do/God or trick the system and properly link, it typically results in immortality and various forms of ascension.
This could possibly be further backed up by the Blade System in XB2 being tied to the Conduit via the Aegis Cores/remaining Trinity Processor units?

I've waited a little over a week for this video. Now I expect another tweet from Monolith Japan Twitter tomorrow, so that in two weeks time we get a 3 hour video. Praise The Architect
Regarding Isurd, I don't think the whole thing about "I'm going to avenge Nimue" is related to the party in any way. When this is said, we are shown armed Isurd facing Agnes machine, so it might be that death of Nimue in fact turns him rogue. You might argue that this phrase might be out of context, however, unlike first trailer, second one tries to keep audio corresponding to what we are shown (e.g. "I've never used this Blade before" is said when trailer shows class swapping feature, "I don't have much time left" is said when we are shown Mio's diary with some sort of countdown markings, etc).
In relationship chart Isurd is shown to have a "revenge" arrow pointing to the party. And CC in the trailer had "I don't have much time left" line attributed to Nimue. Markings that Mio does *are* suspicious, though.
We dont know vandham is going to die. They could easily let him live. OR do a fakeout and he "dies" and then returns later which would explain his absence for the party to adventure on their own.

So far, every Vandham with an X mark on his face have died, and every Vandham with a mustache have lived. This Vandham has both X mark and a mustache, so fakeout death, maybe followed by a real one, seems plausible.

The resemblance between Eunie and Taion's Ouroboros looking like KOS-MOS version 3 is kinda crazy and their character traits is a lot like Shion and Allen. Let me explain..: Eunie seems like the most like Shion party member due to her attitude and that whole why is my name on there quote she has in the trailer is obviously a reference to Shion saying the same thing in Xenosaga Episode III. Obviously it is hard to speculate but when Shion says that in episode 3 it is the scene where she finds out what happened during her childhood regarding her mum and dad and of course summoning the gnosis. If Eunie has a similar arc then I could totally see her as someone Melia raised/experimented on if they are even related or she finds her name and experiences a traumatic event as well. Meanwhile, on the other side you have Taion who judging by the relationship chart is going to push her buttons a lot so there could be a Shion Allen thing going on with them. Next, the move the Ouroboros has is called Sacred Cannon and it has the effect of Moebius damage up... Assuming Moebius are the fog/gnosis and not the Ouroboros then I think it makes sense to call this the X buster or maybe even X cannon from Xenosaga of this game. I am extremely excited to learn more but just thought I would point that out especially since CHOCO designed the Ouroboros and also KOS-MOS in Xenosaga episode III. Lastly, I want to say that the song Moebius from Xenogears has INTERESTING lyrics especially if you compare it to what we know about Xenoblade 3 already.

If you pay attention to Lanz in the clip of Noah and Mio using Ouroboros to fight an Ansel, you can see him perform the same auto attack animation multiple times in a row, so it seems like auto attacks dont belong to a combo anymore

Most likely although its also likely that some if not all of the party members may die at the end. Takahashi does like happy endings, but Noah and especially Mio have a high chance to die and perhaps stay dead at the very end.

Can someone remind me how Torna fixed 2's loot system? Besides falling off cliffs, loot in XC2 can also sink into water, clip through walls, and quickly despawn. Did they fix all of that? I honestly can't remember for the life of me
I'm personally hoping that these item orbs can be reviewed before being picked up, because XC2's system basically made you pick up everything without knowing what you were getting, which ended up crowding some of the already cramped and poorly designed menus like the Aux Core menu. When replaying 1 in DE I regularly didn't pick up cheap stuff I didn't need- same with X, which was even better because you could sell your undesirables for cash on the spot. However they do it, I hope some form of player choice is implemented when picking up materials

My hope is that since Lanz is a Keves character and thus plays more like XC1 with the auto recharging arts the fact that his auto attack animations are slow as molasses doesn't matter that much - as a tank you mostly want to stand still anyway, and his arts still recharge at the same rate as everyone else.

The idea that Guernico Vandam is a desendent of Rex begs the question. How far into the future is this game? That Vandham clearly is an old man? Hundred years? Two hundred years? Any other reaons besides the time limiting thing that this Vandham hides his eye? Why would someone not what to see Fog beasts?
Something I noticed in the first Eunie healing clip is that there is some sort of ring on the ground. If it is anything like Xenoblade 2 that means that it is an accessory.

Just some thoughts I have, Vandam could be from the cut in half uraya would explain what he knows & 2 many the tattoo symbolize years decreasing or maby they show case life path with the center bring discover ourabouras, but if you go left or right you don't presue it and stick to you home and center is maby then the path to freedom or insanity -infinity guy-, maby to unlock sword march you have to explore all routes tho 🤔

One thing I wonder is whether the tank aura might also guarantee that non-tanks within it aren't specifically targeted. It'd make an interesting trade-off where DPS probably can't do positionals (in exchange for not having to worry about aggro) and healers/DPS might get hit by AoE aimed at the tank. It also just kind of makes logical sense; if you're near the person with a shield, they can more easily defend you with it, even if the enemy is trying to attack you. Kind of surprised I haven't seen such a mechanic show up in other games.
The double box icon on the right side seen at 26:00 looks just like the 'select' button on my Xbox Series X controller that i use on my Switch. lol.

Personally think we might have ethel and the other commander fuse during the duration of the game. I think it'd be cool if they eventually join your team as a special final squad of party members but i def think its more likely that they're a boss fight
