    I love Tom Brady and the Patriots. I was sad and angry (at the Patriots) when Tom left. Now I'm happy he did. Even the most venom spitting Tom Brady haters are now... finally... in the same camp as everyone else. They can no longer deny what Tom Brady is. I felt the Patriots should have opened their check book and told Tom "Write whatever you want on it." and left the room. They would know Tom would only take what he thought was fair and ensure they had plenty of money for the rest of the team. He's always said, "I'll stop playing when I suck." And I believe him. If he felt he couldn't help the team anymore he'd walk and leave the rest of the money on the table. Tom Brady earned that. The vast majority of Pats fans would rather see the team struggle a bit at the end of his career than see him go to another team. Bill fucked up. He had the one player in history that you truly DON'T treat like every other player.

    Mahomes had the most pressure in a Super Bowl. Brady had the second most. Anyone else see Mahomes face? Broken and defeated. Listen to Strahan on how Brady took being killed by the Giants front four. Also, Brady's last AFC championship against Manning. Listen to how Miller talks about Brady. Brady never got the cuddling and excuse making from the media despite handling the pressure meter.

    • @yawgmoth6568
      @yawgmoth6568 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Brady had way more pressure than any athlete in a championship game ever vs the Seahawks, and then arguably even more against the Falcons. Imagine if they lose vs the Seahawks weeks after Deflategate? EVERYONE would've been saying, "lol 0-3 in Super Bowls since caught for cheating" and he would've become the scapegoat instead of the goat. He would've become the most hated athlete of all time.
      Then against the Falcons, had they lost as badly as it seemed they might when it was 28-3, the narrative would've been pretty similar "lol 1-3 in Super Bowls since caught for cheating and the only win was because the dumbass Seahawks didn't run and got completely smoked and exposed vs the Falcons".
      He was playing with his entire legacy on the line, his entire career and everything he'd accomplished and put into the sport would've counted for nothing, he would've been universally despised by everyone outside of New England anyways.

  • @FrozenzFirez
    @FrozenzFirez 3 ปีที่แล้ว +70

    For Mahomes to become the GOAT, he needs to win at least 10 SB rings. Winning even 8 won't be enough because TB has beaten him TWICE when it mattered the most on his way to winning 2 SBs. So yeah, 9 would start the debate, 10 to seal the deal. To even consider him the GOAT, he gotta win 8 more minimum. Good luck.

  • @ernestkovach3305

    Tom Brady is a .... Great ATHLETE . FOOTWORK IN THE POCKET TO EVADE THE RUSH AND SACKS....ACCURACY IN THREADING THE NEEDLE TO WRs double covered....HIS ABILITY UNMATCHED FOR PUTTING THE RIGHT TOUCH ON THE BALL as the situation dictates...are all greatest ever. These are , of course, all physical athletic attributes...as is his very decent quick release time.
    Brady almost certainly is the most intelligent athlete in sports history ( attended and graduated from the prestigious, demanding, world famous University of Michigan) , and his ability to read defenses combined with his leadership, discipline, hard work ethic etc.are, of course, cerebral attributes .
    It is when you combine Brady's great athleticism ( the guy was drafted by both major league baseball and THE NFL , for cripe sakes !) , with his IQ and other cerebral attributes you arrive at the very reason " WHY "Thomas Edward Patrick Brady is the B.O.A.T; i.e. best of all time and the greatest player in NFL history regardless of position.
    As for : Bill Russell, Wilt. Gretzky. Howe . Cy Young . Babe Ruth . Michael Jordan . etc. They all play in sports that are best of 7 throughout the playoffs whereas every single game of the NFL playoffs is single elimination folks!!!!!!!!
    Finally, there is this to condider: Sure,jealous hateful Brady haters. Tom Brady may not beat LeBron, MJ, etc.,in a " foot race" which is such a silly, stupid, foolish statement , but then none of them can throw a football as far AND as accurately as this truly GREAT ATHLETE, Tom Brady.
    THERE is only one ( 1) athlete in major league team sports of ANY KIND that won a regular season MVP AWARD while in their 40s ... and it's no accident that the athlete who stands alone in this department is: Tom Brady.
    To judge any athlete's true greatness the playoffs stats and wins, of course,do matter and should be weighted heavily. However, every athlete's career is over 90 percent ...or WAY MORE ...in the regular season which must always ALWAYS... ALWAYS... be paramount and be deemed far more significant and important for obvious reasons. Marino , Charles Barkley , Fran Tarkington, and so many hall of famers who never won any title did not have Scottie Pippin, Lou Geherg, etc. on the team to make a championship possible. They are still duly recognized as all time greats .
    What makes Brady's sustained greatness so awesome is that he owns seemingly countless salient regular season career regular season records for a QB AND ALSO owns virtually every single salient QB record for the playoffs. Combined...He is preeminent in the history of sports .
    The only athlete ever who is not in Brady's rear view mirror for excellence and exceptionalism is .....Secretariat.
    Case closed ....enjoy him while you still can ALL sports fans . Tom Brady, the honest , honorable , humble, genius leader is no longer merely "legendary " he is a sports IMMORTAL. Case closed forever.

    While we are on the subject of comparing LBJ with TB, the room they share might look the same, but TB's room is definitely bigger. TB won the SB the 1st year he joined the Bucs. LBJ never won the title the 1st year he joined a team. TB recruited people to join him. LBJ made the team pay a ransom to get people to join him. Star players who join TB like him. Not everyone LBJ recruits have had nice things to say about him. And we aren't even in the topic of actual success which is 7-4 if anyone else is counting. But agree, unlike MJ, TB and LBJ have found success where ever they went. It is hard to say MJ would have, but he was just in an era where you don't move around a lot. Jordan was already winning 50+ games without Pipen even being a starter, or without Phil Jackson.
    Jordan had not yet become a champion, but he was already being considered the best player in the world before winning a chip. He did that by his play and superiority on the court when compared to the other great players.
    Lebron’s system never lasts very long. He goes for a few years, that’s why he keeps short contracts so that he can get TF out once he knows he has used up enough of the teams future to win now, then go somewhere else to try again while that team he left fails.
    Jordan stuck it out, and stayed. Brady stuck it out and stayed until he was forced out by the coach. Bron abandons teams to ring chase, and yet still only has 4.

    If you love your Patrick so much why are you putting this unnecessary pressure on him.. Your compairing a 20 year something vs a 43 year something... It's like you are trying to find one little niche to say hes better then Brady. sit back and think about it... Even though Brady beat him in afc and the Super Bowl.. I know it's a team game.. but your the one's saying all this Comparison stuff OK if your that desperate to praise Patrick he has youth and scramblability stronger arm.... Brady's pinpoint accuracy is able to read defences perfect ball placement.. If you love the guy so much let him be himself....ps The funny thing is some of you are still going to doubt brady.. The New York guys it's inevitable ...the rest of the journalists a good amount will to... Maybe you need to take age out of the equation that way your not blinded by your decision process lol

    By now Mahomes feels the constraints of the cap space (stacked offense, but godawful defense), and the league has adapted to his style, and he is unwilling to adapt on his part. By now he might rather join Rodgers (=> weapons), Brees (=> also defense) or Wilson (=> O-line), as QB with one ring. Great personal stats (and MVP titles), but only one ring, because his half billion dollar contract forbids a competitive enough roster.

    First of all, if you're ever going to put freakin' LeBron James in the same conversation as Tom Brady, Tom's name comes first.... He's not in a room with LeBron, I wouldn't compare them anyway, but if you must, LeBron is a room with Tom.... freakin' a, I'm not even a Tom Brady fan, certainly not a Patriots or Bucs fan, but it's just shocking how this is EVER conversation.... I don't think people realize how many records Brady personally holds, it DOZENS of them, damn near ALL of them that can be accrued by a Quarterback anyway, and when it comes to championships, the man is untouchable, and WILL BE UNTOUCHABLE for years and years to come, until ONE MAN starts doing the same thing, which just isn't going to happen.... Get over it people, he's THE GOAT.....

      @@artovereverything8754 Yes both Peyton and LeBron did It! However nobody left a playoff team ( which immediately became a losing team) and won in a first year. Also Peyton was a shade of himself and maybe 30 percent responsible for the win which was a good playoff team before manning joined them.In contrast Brady completely changed a culture of a long losing team in 1 year, beat scoring offense record ( the only team ever to score minimum 30 points on 4 straight playoff games) So despite defense playing superbly in SB ,I give Tom 70 percent responsibility for win.Le bron went to winning teams with the exception of 2nd time Cleveland which had excellent roster the year he came back. Peyton and James together have less titles than Tom (So are all the football teams in league history, which is even more insane).So in 19 years of playing Tom achieved more than any team,which some of those teams exist 100 years.!

    You shouldn't be a analyst! Because 1 for some reason nobody but a few of us saw Belicheck sabotaging Tom during draft and not picking up good free agents during his last 2yrs there! Yeah, it made Tom look bad but he still willed them into the playoffs somehow! Shanahan is as woefully inequiped as his dad to be a head coach! In the 3 yrs since this broadcast ,you can now say the 49ers have fell on their faces because of 💩ty QB play! They could have made a Historic run of atleast 4 out 5 and possibly 5 Lombardi trophies. With I'd say a bare minimum of 2 or 3 if they had just pulled the trigger on picking up Brady! On top of everything purdy would have had a chance to sit under Brady and learn! I don't see how papa Shanahan is still allowed in the NFL because of what he did to Griffin the 3rd! Kyle isn't much more than an assistant or maybe medium skilled coordinator! My boy is teasing a comeback! Wouldn't that be awesome if he just jumped back in and picked up another ring or 2! Always thought he was aiming for 10! If it hadn't been for that horse faced wife of his working on his head. I think he would have got one more in Tampa. That last yrs he came back he wasn't Tom. That was about the time he figured out that she had another guy probably before they split. He was the most aggressive I've ever saw out of him! He was running down people trying to fight them. That wasn't Tom! He knew Tampa had let to many players leave for the cap. They thought Tom was done and were looking to rebuild. They still almost backdoored the playoffs! My boy is the goat! Will always be the goat! Baaaaa!

      Yeah but Manning got benched for Osweiler in that regular season, and pretty sure was only inserted as the starting QB for the SB because of his experience. A top 3 defense of all time absolutely won that entire post season and much of the regular season. Brady, who was a little more than 3 years older than Peyton was in his final season, threw for 4,600+ yards, 40TDs and 67% comp percentage throughout the regular season, and yes in the postseason the Bucs won as a complete team but they didn't need to absolutely carry Brady who threw for 3 TDs in the divisional game, NFC title game, and the SB. No hate towards Peyton he's the 2nd or 3rd best qb ever imo, but their SB wins with their 2nd teams were very, very, very different stories. I will give him credit tho for having the greatest QB season ever with 55 passing TDs, just couldn't win it all that year
