Your analysis of Round 7 actually made me think about it more. I was always of the thought that Hades' brotherly side was focused on more than anything to do with his kingship, and that he didn't provide a metaphorical challenge to Qin. But I think with your explanation I have figured out why Hades is a foil to Qin. It's because he didn't have anyone to tell him he was allowed to act on his own desires. Qin had Chun Yan to tell him that it wasn't always about the people, a king was not bound by his people and the ones he had to protect. The king makes the decisions best fit for the people, but at times he has to make decisions that come from his own desire, one that temporarily may not align with others, but it does benefit them in the long run. Qin pulling out his sword instead of using his martial arts was initially assumed to be a bad idea. Why switch to offense when Hades easily outmatches him? After he lost his arm, everyone lost hope. Alvitr told him he could do no more, and they'd lost. But only he had the conviction. The king had the conviction, and as such his subjects gain the conviction. He alone knew what he had to do, and whether his people liked it or not, he had to do it. He was acting on his own self interest yes, but the true strength of the king is doing what you want to do *to* benefit others. Meanwhile, Hades had a burden he imposed on himself. He had to represent the gods, he had to uphold their dignity no matter what. He was the elder brother, he was the king, he was not *allowed* to lose. He was not supposed to act on his own self interest, because he thought his job as the elder brother was to protect his siblings. He joined Ragnarok not because he himself wanted to (seeing as he wasn't on the roster originally, meaning he likely didn't care for it), but because it was his job as the eldest to avenge his siblings. While Hades and Qin enter the round shackled by their duty, only Qin is able to find is own conviction, whereas Hades never realises he should've done what *he* wanted, not what was expected of him given his position. He sacrificed his own body for the sake of others, yet neglecting himself was his downfall. The burden of reliance was one he could not break free of, whereas Qin was able to break free of his burden yet still fight to protect. It makes his interactions with Beelzebub intriguing too, because despite Beelzebub *wanting* himself dead, Hades told him that isn't what was expected of him. The burden Lilith placed on Beel to live was more important than what he himself wanted. Which further adds onto that philosophy of his. While in this case it was the right thing to do, Hades never made it easy for Beel to die. He gave him a weapon powerful enough to greatly amplify his power and he banned him from using a move that caused damage to himself.

Nikola Tesla in real life was already my inspiration for striving to become a mechanical engineer, so when he was put as one of the fighters in this manga and embodied every aspect that inspired me it undoubtedly became my favorite fight and I'm glad that got through in your analysis, actually made me tear up a bit.
He’s my Alias for a reason bro. I’m not religious but bear with me when I say, after Jesus Christ Nikola Tesla was the GREATEST HUMAN BEING TO EVER LIVE.
@@NBaa2123 I liked it. Buddha vs Zerofuku was one of my favorite fights and I think the anime did I a good job of adapting it. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for the next season
Yes especially if I remembered correctly it was beelzebub’s fault why zerofuku was like that, he replaced his horn with a bad horn which in turn made zerofuku became evil so easily
Oda Nobunaga could have been an interesting one, Japan sees him as evil due to all the things he did in his pursuit of uniting japan, but it could have been interesting to see a man who would do anything in pursuit of his goal no matter what and what his fight could have stood for.
Honestly, there are so many historical and mythological figures I would have loved to have seen in this manga, but 26 (27 after Buddha switched sides) people in total doesn't leave you that many options and I still think the rosters are great
Honestly I think Zerofuku is my favorite character in the manga. His backstory was just amazing. Such a nice and naive guy who ended up being manipulated.
Record of Ragnarök is the sole manga that I have ever read because I couldn’t wait for more content from the anime. It single handedly gave me hope in humanity, made me interested in history, and even motivated me to be better. I can’t wait for the next fight and to see what greatness happens nezt

Your analysis of Hades vs Qin made me kind of emotional As a big brother myself seeing hades loose brought me great pain as l reflected and related to him greatly. But your analysis of Qin made me realise that there is more to being responsible for others then just shouldering their burdens and giving all that you have one must also focus on himself and their own goals. This os why round 7 is the greatest round to me it makes me realize that l can be more then just a big brother and pursue my own goals like Qiin but also to care and do everything with pride and dignity and respect like Hades
Normally I give up on an anime when its not complete and if I love it to where I read the manga, I usually give up still but now I've actually stayed with Record of Ragnarok since Beelzebubs backstory was introduced, this manga has really moved me 😢❤
I loved this video the entire way through, but by the second half, I had shed a few tears, and by the last third, I was openly crying. Thank you, for the fantastic content. Thank you, comrade! Stay safe!!
First of all I wanted to say that this video was excellent. ROR is currently one of my favorite series atm and seeing someone finally do a deeper video essay was incredible, especially one as put together as yours Your analysis of round 5 was incredible, I couldn’t find a single thing about it to disagree with or contest. Your really captured and understood that round, even to a degree that I couldn’t. You opened my eyes to aspects of that round (mind you that I already enjoyed) and furthered it to new heights. Thank you. Your round 6 analysis was spot on. Many people hate in zero, but he is by far one of the most interesting and tragic. Finally he is able to attain happiness and it’s robbed from him. Excellent job, but I believe you failed to mention how Hajuns misfortune caused him to die in the first place, before finding the perfect soil. Now that he has it he thinks he’s perfect, only for Buddhas ideology to inherently disagree and oppose it Now Round 7 has to be the worst round in ROT imo. Not because I hate Qin, I think he’s great, but because Qin IS the round. Everything you said about Hades could only be attained by funneling through Qin. Qin was the end all be all in that round, which made for a very one sided round narratively speaking. Hades, being such a fascinating character when he was introduced, was made into nothing more than a jobber to agree with Qin. Having that type of one sided fight was really disappointing and made the writing and meaning of the round all the less effective as a result. Round 8. Here is where we fundamentally disagree with one another. I think Round 8 is AMONG the worst rounds. Bottom 3, maybe bottom 2. All of it had to do with Beelzebub. Not mad or angry Tesla lost, he kinda had to for the score, I’m upset at how awfully written Beelzebub is. Like you said he is a contradicting character…but …that’s bad. Having a contradicting character in writing is a bad thing. It doesn’t make the character compelling or good, it makes you scratch your head and wonder if you missed something. “He’s supposed to be contradicting” is a sorry excuse for bad writing. You spoke about trust and that’s why he beat Tesla, but his story was never about trust, he was never betrayed, his trust was never broken. So him “trusting” someone wasn’t even close to resolving or developing his character. His conclusion that’s the gods and humans are similar felt extremely unearned. Again, his story wasn’t about how different we are or how superior the gods are, so him coming yo that conclusion came out of nowhere and was unsatisfactory. Lastly, Satan is still in Beelzebub… now that he’s won literally nothing changes for him. The status quo is sustained. Now he goes back to killing his loved ones and doing evil shit. While Round 8 paused his desire to die ( which is dumb and doesn’t make sense) it did nothing to solve it. He learned nothing from Tesla, and is unable to grow from his round.
Thanks glad you enjoyed the video, and yes that’s a great point for Round 6 For Round 7 I really don’t think I did the round justice in the video and didn’t really get my point across at all, the big difference between the 2 is the ability to pursue their own desires, Hades was a slave to his duty as a big brother everything he did was in sake of that duty, he didn’t enter Ragnarok because he wanted to he did so because he had to avenge his bothers death, everything he does is due to his duty, he is reserved because he himself doesn’t have strong desires, Qin on the other hand is prideful and loud, the road is where I walk, the throne is where I sit etc, he has what Hades lacks the ability to pursue his own desires, his decision to do so is what wins him the match, so the way the two are presented is although a metaphor for their respective personalities, Qin is loud and the centre of attention because he had the drive to be selfish to go beyond his duty, but Hades isn’t able to do that because aside from his duty he doesn’t have much to him, the way the story focuses on Qin is a direct way of showing Hades flaws, or at least that’s how I’ve seen it, And for round 8, yeah I can understand why people don’t like Beezelbub, personally I quite like him and to me his inner conflict is realistic but obviously a lot of people don’t share that sentiment and of course that’s fine, Beelzebub always trusted in his friends not die and so when they did he felt hurt, it’s why he holds trust so close to his heart, so again to me I feel him learning to trust again is somewhat earned but of course we can all think differently, Thanks for such a well written and thought provoking comment
I think more than anything, I am both immensely excited and nervous about Siegfried. Because not only do I really like the story of Sigurd/Siegfried, but the way he's been spoken about implies he will be a surprise fighter.
Yeah I’m very interested too, will he be a fighter for the gods? Will he replace a human fighter who betrays us? What’s his connection to Odin and Bruh, So many possibilities
@@SephTheSinI highly doubt Siegfried would fight for the gods He was imprisoned by the gods (iirc, even some of the Ars Goetia demons we're tasked to guard him), Buddha told Kintoki to look for him and find him, and his waifu (Brunhilde) is on the human side
Your analysis on the fights provides such a unique perspective into the ins and outs of each moment. Round 6 is absolutely my favourite fight and Buddha is my favourite character, but I couldn't put my feelings into words more clearly than you did describing his character. He is absolutely my favourite because of what he stands for and his mental strength, which I find is so beautifully written and portrayed (and also because he's a driplord). I also love your interpretation of fight 7. That is my absolute favourite fight outside of round 6, so I'm absolutely amazed by how you explained Qin's and Hades's characters. You also really made round 5 make sense and made round 8 better than it already was somehow. You have a wonderful way with analyzing these amazing fights! Glad you're keeping the series alive. Cheers!
Amazing video record of ragnarok was a manga that showed how God's and humans are no different powers or not, the lifes they live can be destructive or peaceful yet still resonate their own hope
My personal favourite fight so far is rounds 6 & 7, but I couldnt quite articulate why, but your analysis of it perfectly captures the spirit of the fights! I hope you do this for the remainder of the bouts (when they come out)!
I may or may not be under sizeable bias from OSP depiction of Hades... but his defeat still remains the one thing that makes me feel bitter about the manga. Yes, yes it fits, it's thematic... but my lord gets done so dirty in most of his other depictions, let him have tha W, Tartarus dammit!
It's also a bit ironic, given that the historical Qin is pretty universally reviled - He was *not* a good dude. Also, he absolutely did not save China from the Warring States period, his dynasty collapsed immediately following his death.
nikola tesla is the on top for my list of favorite characters in anime/manga he's in my 4th place for my favorite his design is so cool his personality and how you could feel his passion through the pages you can tell he died doing what he loved advancing the human race through his technology and his words changing Beelzebub's point of view breaking through his walls finding the true version of Beelzebub yet he died but he died sticking to his guns sticking to what he believed and changed a god for the rest of his life even if the gods win i believe the human fighter's the gods saw and fought against would change there point of view nikola tesla, adam, buddha, lu bo and the other human fighter's went down changing many of the gods and there thoughts on humanity maybe even if the gods win they'll keep humanity alive to see how powerful the humans can get see if any human can be as strong as any of the humans in record of ragnarok now let's see who will win apollo vs Leonidas
God I stan Hades so much, I believe Hades dying wasn't even really that bad, he can't leave poseidon by himself so he would go to the afterlife aswell.
Honestly I don't want to say I do not care who wins but if they don't make Simo Häyhä win when it is his turn than I will be very dossapointed. From all the fighters on the roster he is the moast recent one in human history and I've got to say The White Death has made an incredible reputation for himself.
When I told a friend about hayha he thought I was Bull shitting him because nobody could be that bad ass then he looked up is Wikipedia and told me I didn't do him justice
@@IchigoShinagaminah man Apollo is definitely for Leonidas especially considering how I think Apollo betrayed them in their time of need. And now simo hayha the motherf*cking white death. I know we've already had an obvious underdog fight but with the idea of him fighting against ODIN for gods sake THAT is the true underdog fight, the man is basically fighting the norse equivalent of zeus with a discontinued gun and a dog so yeah if this fight does happen I can't wait for it. Also someone once mentioned how cool it would be if his volund was just one bullet and I can't agree more since it'd actually be a prefect match up between wits and technique fighting for protection vs strength and power fighting for destruction.
I'm mad at myself for not noticing these small details despite how much I love tesla as a character I need to indulge in more storytelling so I don't miss this details witch make the characters so great
I saw your Qin cosplay on Reddit but had no idea it was you. Great video, this has easily become one of my favorite manga of all times. Every fight has made me feel something, some more than others but always felt something. Qin is my favorite character. I recently hit what would be a rough chapter in life, but I found Qin's mentality inspiring. I decided that instead of letting that rough patch defeat me. Be a metaphorical king who inspires and brings a happy life to people around him.
Yeah it’s such a great story, and sorry to hear that but glad you be taken away a good lesson from the experience, we can all help make others happy and in a lot of cases doing so makes us happy
We didn’t know what this series was going to be about but it has captured us all. I for one really hope that once this arch is done that it inspires other series as well maybe another one where humans are trapped in a fighting game and must show the AI that there is more to the race then what it has taken from the web and the current state of earth while being stuck in space inside an old space station.
Recrod of ragnarok is my love for humanity made manifest, i never realized how much i loved humanity until i found record of ragnarok, now that i think of it my love surpasses the concept of good and evil among humans, i love each and every single person that has ever existed with us on this rock, i may hate many of our kind, but within my heart i knew i could never shed their blood on my hands even someone like adolf or even stalin i wouldn't COULDN'T do it
I love that show Hades as a good god and his two brothers as the assholes. Thats not how Hollywood ever shows it but its much more in-line with the actual mythology. And yeah. It is Heracles. Zues named him after Hera as some weird attempt to not piss her off for cheating on her
They shouldve done J.H.H Holmes aka the real jack the ripper his origin is so much creepier. Especially if you added the heterochromia otherwise his lif and the anime characters life very similar yet reality of who he was so much Darker. Look up the horror house of the worlds fair. And The Devil In The White City. Dude literally built a maze murder hotel in 1893. Truly terrifying.
I think there would be a good mach up between houdini who would be the mind over matter because houdini was so enuged of all the fake magicians and trained his body so he could escape from any situation
Wait…There are gonna be 13 rounds of ragnarok in all Raiden is laying next to 13 women 7 of which have some kind of supernatural extra appendages the other six look like normal naked women……gods are gonna win 7-6 😂calling it

I am still so sad that Nikola lost, I was really hyped up for him but I kinda was guessing it would happen since humanity won twice in a row before that
It's also interesting seeing Beelzebub's outfit choice. He's effectively dressed as a priest. Looking at the complicated history of science and the church, a common pattern is science striving forward while the church presents a seemingly impenetrable defense, much like how you describe the fighting styles presented by Tesla and Beelzebub. Fitting, considering that religion condemns Beelzebub almost as much as he condemns himself
That imagery is true now. But up until the 20th century it was the church that pushed for the advancement of science and earthly knowledge. Catholic priests literally invented the scientific method. The church believed that knowledge would bring them closer to God. That it was humanity's duty to strive for utopia, but with humility. The Church only joined the other religions in largely opposing science when aspects of it started opposing the Christian world view.
@@joshuabeckham2387 Seems to be a common trend amongst other religions as well. After all, the numbers we use are arabic numerals, and Muslim in origin. As you said though, it was the case in the 20th century, at the dawn of which Tesla was conducting his most ambitious work. So, the imagery lines up in context as well as now
AT first this anime just popped up on my Netflix and I was like screw it I'll give it a go but wow it quickly became one of my favorite anime's of all time. Such a beautiful story!
I’m always on humanity sides, it’s just instinct. I hate the gods because they’re arrogant, it’s fun to see them bow to humans, the creatures they hate and belittle. Yes sometimes I love the gods but in the end I will be on the human side. I agree about what you said at the end
I wonder how mori nagayoshi would be depicted in ROR. The famous oni musashi who died young and even his death was celebrated by his allies. I wonder how hed be depicted and shown.
Honestly with going through the zerofuku vs Buddha fight, I really think this fight is one of my favorites thematically. The thing is Zero was just too naive and took a dark path even if Buddha laid it out for him. He thought if he was to take away people's bad luck, people can be happy. Buddha flipped this idea on its head and Buddha taught him that a happy life isn't a life given, but one that you make yourself. Buddha told Zero exactly what to do, and Zero was just to naive to see it
agreed. it had so much potentrial to be the MOST AWESOME fight anime with incredible animations. I've seen so many fan animation that do AMAZINGLY. a fanmade tesla vs beezlbub fight was incredible.
Buddha VS Zerofuku was always my favorite fight, and I really loved your analysis! Aside from the theme of misfortune, I think that another thing that makes it so special is the fact that it's not just Zero who develops as a character during the fight, but also Buddha, though maybe it's less apparent. Buddha is presented from the start as the Enlighted One, someone who has already reached peak happiness and who, from our perspective, couldn't become better than this. He can perfectly control his emotions and actions, to the point that it looks to us like no one could ever be a real challenge for him, which is proved by his fight with Zero, where he doesn't lose his cool or gets scared once despite him being incredibly strong. However, when fighting Hajun things get hard for him, and eventually he has to go back, after his whole afterlife, to letting his anger and strong emotions flow. This is also symbolized visually by him losing his glasses, which were probably the part of his character design that made him look the most "cool" and strong tempered. By this moment not only has he met someone whose soul he can't read, he has also lost the first friend he found after a whole life of walking alone. And by the end of the fight, he finds that friend again, fully learning that an Enlightend life doesn't necessarily have to be a lonely one. This fight was actually able to give an amazing character development to someone who already seemed fully developed, and that's why I believe it to be the absolute best in the whole series by now. Edit: I just realized that, but I wanted to also point out that as Buddha develops during the fight, he also starts to look a little more like Zerofuku, with his shirt missing and his hair untied. There is a specific page where his body and Zero's spirit overlap and it's very clear. I would guess that it symbolizes that he himself, by accepting Zero's love and seeing him as a friend (also expressed by the final change to the "rhino horn" quote), has become a little more like him. He doesn't see Zero as one of his followers, like with everyone else, but as a true companion. (P.s. Everything I wrote was just a personal opinion, if anyone were to disagree with me or add anything I would love to hear about it)
I agree on so many levels, honestly, I never thought about Buddha developing in this way but now you've pointed it out it seems so obvious, thanks for such an enlightening comment and thanks for watching
The funny thing about the shiva fight, us he was origionally supposed to fight Adam. It would be interesting to see how different the fights would be if zeus hadnt decided to switch things up.
To me it looks like the series is eluding to the Gods winning the tournament, they will let humanity live as a result of their newfound respect for them
That’s something I’d defo like to see I just don’t know, humanity just winning in the end seems like the safe ending I can see them doing, that’s said I for sure hope not
Humanity Will Survive. They have something the gods don't understand. Mortality. They do not possess from birth the power and knowledge that could help them. They gained everything through suffering and learning about the world in their own way.
Thank You Nikola Tesla You tought me how to advance forward towards the future and advance no matter what happens to me I Will Help Protect All Of Mankind
It’s hard to say yet it wouldn’t surprise me if beauty plays into it like how Apollo only fights with grace but Leonidas will do anything no matter how dirty, Apollo seems to idolise the glory of death at least he did with his fellow Greeks so maybe he sees death as this grand and symbolic event (bit like Kaido from one piece) whereas Leonidas a man who seems to be an expert in all warfare will kill with any and all means at his disposal regardless of honour or beauty (might be why he attacked instantly before the match started) but really hard to tell just yet
@@SephTheSin Yeah and to be honest His Sheild Only makes sense. Because if he had the standard Spartan Spear and Sheild it will be redundant Lubu Already had a Pole arm, Posiedon has his Trident, and Hades has his Bident turned Spear. Which all do the same they thrust to stab.

Yep he was tricked out of his funding by his investors and forced to declare bankruptcy, dying of hear failure not long after, oh and Qin Shi Huang drunk Mercury to try become immortal and died so yeah…
I mean the majority of the gods who have won have been changed by their fights against humanity even if the gods win it won't be the end of humanity there's going to be some of the gods joining humanity and fighting back
The big issue I have with the Gods winning is that it ultimately proves the Gods were right and that they were superior to humanity, if humanity cannot win by their own hands then they are just being spared by the gods, the story serves to show that the humans are not inferior to the gods that they have just as much right to live as the gods so them being spared really would water that down,
Belzebub trust that Tesla is a brilliant mind and won’t try to brute force to the fight without a plan, so he anticipates that his opponent have something up his sleeve. And it allow him to quickly counter “Plasma Pulse Punch Cross” because that’s when Tesla have to drop his defense for an absolute offense.
I know this is two months late but what you said in the ending hit me, because I both agree and disagree. You said tho we will lose in the moment but win in the end, but i sorta disagree. I think we will lose Ragnarok in the end. The gods will win in the last seventh fight but choose not to destroy humanity. Because throughout the whole event humanity proves itself worthy of existing, of living on. Instead the gods will become closer to humanity interacting with them more. In fact it be cool if Ragnarok become a regular event, where humanity isn't on the line, but a friendly competition in honor of the first Ragnarok and it's completers.
Oh I so agree humanity losing would be amazing and I agree a way better pay off to the humbling of the gods across the series, I just don’t want to get my hopes up as in terms of the plot itself the writing in this series is very by the books and I can kind of just see the ending being as simple as humanity just winning, but yes it would be a lot cooler
Honestly couldn’t have said it better myself, I agree 100% with this, there’s a lot more depth to this fight than I think is evident on a first read

He’s my Alias for a reason bro. I’m not religious but bear with me when I say, after Jesus Christ Nikola Tesla was the GREATEST HUMAN BEING TO EVER LIVE.
He should have win only the gods plot armour Stop one of the greatest scientists to win

Hades: I rather be a poor man in the living world than be the king of the underworld.
A testament to the sacrifices he did for his family.
Being a king was so stressful, tons of expectation from the people below you
You know, after your analysis of the Buddha/Zero/Hajun and Beelzebub/Tesla fights, now i really wanna see Buddha interact with Beelzebub.
Yeah I hope we will get some interactions between the two as well,
Here to tell you that the Buddha fight is out on Netflix now
@@Dreycohwhat donu think of the 2nd season????
Literally the definition of the human spirit's tenacity
Im mad they never used cain as a contestant. Dude was the granddaddy of murder
Yep so overhated by the community
He's not my favourite but he is amazing my top 3 in that order although 3 is shaky are 1 buddha, 2 Beelzebub and 3 Adam
33:30 you can hear in his voice he happy and not going to lie same, Tesla is the very definition of a mad lad
Record of Ragnarök is the sole manga that I have ever read because I couldn’t wait for more content from the anime. It single handedly gave me hope in humanity, made me interested in history, and even motivated me to be better. I can’t wait for the next fight and to see what greatness happens nezt
Its such an stellar series, I'm very excited for Round 9 too, curious to see if any of my matchup predictions come true
Starting from the anime is actually wild. I commend you

Not me getting emotional over Beel and Chad’s fight 😭
You’re not the only one
Your analysis of Hades vs Qin made me kind of emotional
As a big brother myself seeing hades loose brought me great pain as l reflected and related to him greatly.
Glad you enjoyed it and exactly there is lessons for us to learn from both these great kings
Stay safe!!
Glad you enjoyed it
First of all I wanted to say that this video was excellent. ROR is currently one of my favorite series atm and seeing someone finally do a deeper video essay was incredible, especially one as put together as yours
Your analysis of round 5 was incredible, I couldn’t find a single thing about it to disagree with or contest.
Now that he has it he thinks he’s perfect, only for Buddhas ideology to inherently disagree and oppose it
Now Round 7 has to be the worst round in ROT imo.
Thanks glad you enjoyed the video, and yes that’s a great point for Round 6
For Round 7 I really don’t think I did the round justice in the video and didn’t really get my point across at all, the big difference between the 2 is the ability to pursue their own desires, Hades was a slave to his duty as a big brother everything he did was in sake of that duty, he didn’t enter Ragnarok because he wanted to he did so because he had to avenge his bothers death, everything he does is due to his duty, he is reserved because he himself doesn’t have strong desires, Qin on the other hand is prideful and loud, the road is where I walk, the throne is where I sit etc, he has what Hades lacks the ability to pursue his own desires, his decision to do so is what wins him the match, so the way the two are presented is although a metaphor for their respective personalities, Qin is loud and the centre of attention because he had the drive to be selfish to go beyond his duty, but Hades isn’t able to do that because aside from his duty he doesn’t have much to him, the way the story focuses on Qin is a direct way of showing Hades flaws, or at least that’s how I’ve seen it,
And for round 8, yeah I can understand why people don’t like Beezelbub, personally I quite like him and to me his inner conflict is realistic but obviously a lot of people don’t share that sentiment and of course that’s fine, Beelzebub always trusted in his friends not die and so when they did he felt hurt, it’s why he holds trust so close to his heart, so again to me I feel him learning to trust again is somewhat earned but of course we can all think differently,
Thanks for such a well written and thought provoking comment
I think more than anything, I am both immensely excited and nervous about Siegfried. Because not only do I really like the story of Sigurd/Siegfried, but the way he's been spoken about implies he will be a surprise fighter.
Yeah I’m very interested too, will he be a fighter for the gods? Will he replace a human fighter who betrays us? What’s his connection to Odin and Bruh, So many possibilities
@@SephTheSinI highly doubt Siegfried would fight for the gods
He was imprisoned by the gods (iirc, even some of the Ars Goetia demons we're tasked to guard him), Buddha told Kintoki to look for him and find him, and his waifu (Brunhilde) is on the human side
Cheers!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the video
Amazing video record of ragnarok was a manga that showed how God's and humans are no different powers or not, the lifes they live can be destructive or peaceful yet still resonate their own hope
Exactly, to quote my gloomy boi Beelzebub ‘There’s not much difference between gods and humans’
You're just salty, dude. The fight was flawless.
He literally did, tho.@@firetarrasque4667
Your analysis on Qin is beautiful, every qin hater should watch this.
Thanks, honestly I thought my Round 7 analysis was the weakest part of the video so glad people appreciate it
No such thing as a Qin hater lol
nikola tesla is the on top for my list of favorite characters in anime/manga he's in my 4th place for my favorite his design is so cool his personality and how you could feel his passion through the pages you can tell he died doing what he loved advancing the human race through his technology and his words changing Beelzebub's point of view breaking through his walls finding the true version of Beelzebub yet he died but he died sticking to his guns sticking to what he believed and changed a god for the rest of his life even if the gods win i believe the human fighter's the gods saw and fought against would change there point of view nikola tesla, adam, buddha, lu bo and the other human fighter's went down changing many of the gods and there thoughts on humanity maybe even if the gods win they'll keep humanity alive to see how powerful the humans can get see if any human can be as strong as any of the humans in record of ragnarok now let's see who will win apollo vs Leonidas
yea he was a great character sad people saw him as a cocky person
God I stan Hades so much, I believe Hades dying wasn't even really that bad, he can't leave poseidon by himself so he would go to the afterlife aswell.
Pretty sure they said these guys just dissapear forever since they're already souls
I'm extremely sad that Simo won't be fighting Apollo.
I am fine with him losing if he does it in style. The journey matters more than the destination.
@@vaiyt I gush too much about this but if he fights odin and he loses I just want him to take out Odin's other eye.
Excellent analysis! Really interesting. I especially love how you point out why this series is so fascinating: the power of humanity.

I'm mad at myself for not noticing these small details despite how much I love tesla as a character I need to indulge in more storytelling so I don't miss this details witch make the characters so great
I can't believe this was a year ago! They need to speed this shit up
That's the sad thing about monthly manga, patience is needed.
Tesla's last speech made me love him so much
Adam United humanity in spirit, Tesla United humanity in mind, now who will unite humanity in body?
Leonidas?
"In this 9.63 by 9.63 meter world... You are no god I AM"
Hardest line ive ever heard
We didn’t know what this series was going to be about but it has captured us all. I for one really hope that once this arch is done that it inspires other series as well maybe another one where humans are trapped in a fighting game and must show the AI that there is more to the race then what it has taken from the web and the current state of earth while being stuck in space inside an old space station.
Recrod of ragnarok is my love for humanity made manifest, i never realized how much i loved humanity until i found record of ragnarok, now that i think of it my love surpasses the concept of good and evil among humans, i love each and every single person that has ever existed with us on this rock, i may hate many of our kind, but within my heart i knew i could never shed their blood on my hands even someone like adolf or even stalin i wouldn't COULDN'T do it
Watched both of the analysis videos and yess its one of the best analysis I saw for Record of Ragnarok....Tesla is the GOAT fr
Glad you enjoyed them, and yeah Tesla be one shining GOAT
I love that show Hades as a good god and his two brothers as the assholes. Thats not how Hollywood ever shows it but its much more in-line with the actual mythology. And yeah. It is Heracles. Zues named him after Hera as some weird attempt to not piss her off for cheating on her
Touching my heart
This just reminded me I have to make my tesla drawing thank you and amazing video
bro wtf why is this series so therapeutic 😭 i did not expect this much catharsis
Finally I've been waiting for this thanks for working hard

They shouldve done J.H.H Holmes aka the real jack the ripper his origin is so much creepier. Especially if you added the heterochromia otherwise his lif and the anime characters life very similar yet reality of who he was so much Darker. Look up the horror house of the worlds fair. And The Devil In The White City. Dude literally built a maze murder hotel in 1893. Truly terrifying.
I think there would be a good mach up between houdini who would be the mind over matter because houdini was so enuged of all the fake magicians and trained his body so he could escape from any situation
Oml we need him as fighter!
Wait…There are gonna be 13 rounds of ragnarok in all Raiden is laying next to 13 women 7 of which have some kind of supernatural extra appendages the other six look like normal naked women……gods are gonna win 7-6 😂calling it

I am gonna have to read the manga, because damn the themes for these fights are good. And i seriously hope that physical copies come out for the other fights soon.
I am still so sad that Nikola lost, I was really hyped up for him but I kinda was guessing it would happen since humanity won twice in a row before that
What do i think of the new season on Netflix
wow im 17 year old and this is the second time i cry for a charcter like tesla
It's also interesting seeing Beelzebub's outfit choice. He's effectively dressed as a priest. Looking at the complicated history of science and the church, a common pattern is science striving forward while the church presents a seemingly impenetrable defense, much like how you describe the fighting styles presented by Tesla and Beelzebub. Fitting, considering that religion condemns Beelzebub almost as much as he condemns himself
I can see it
What your saying
I love Buddha soo much as he is the most relatable
Buddha told Zero exactly what to do, and Zero was just to naive to see it
The upcoming round of Apollo vs Leonardo is about define fate that is set upon you
Not gonna talk about Hades' 'Gift' to Beelzebub in the middle of the battle
Your videos are very good and bring out good emotions thank you thank you thank you!!
Love this video
Man I wish Netflix didn’t get this anime ROR deserves good animation
agreed. it had so much potentrial to be the MOST AWESOME fight anime with incredible animations. I've seen so many fan animation that do AMAZINGLY. a fanmade tesla vs beezlbub fight was incredible.
I love record of Ragnarok is like bringing our heroes back to life to see them in action
9:00 The haters don't know. There's more.
Record of Ragnarok shows our limitations and differences but like you said it hits close to home

This is not the round 9 anyone expected and I’m here for it, don’t think anyone expected the great Spartan King to be like this, but I love it
Lmao, the beauty and the beast.
The funny thing about the shiva fight, us he was origionally supposed to fight Adam. It would be interesting to see how different the fights would be if zeus hadnt decided to switch things up.
Adam would have eviscerated Shiva
I Don't think I recall Beezlebub saying he gave up on dying. He still wants to fie a bad desth but he judt wanted Humanity to die first
Truly amazing
Beelzebub low-key will be the cause of the ending of Ragnarok.
To me it looks like the series is eluding to the Gods winning the tournament, they will let humanity live as a result of their newfound respect for them
That’s something I’d defo like to see I just don’t know, humanity just winning in the end seems like the safe ending I can see them doing, that’s said I for sure hope not
man this manga always hits me in my feels
Humanity Will Survive. They have something the gods don't understand. Mortality. They do not possess from birth the power and knowledge that could help them. They gained everything through suffering and learning about the world in their own way.

Now Hiw will Leonidas vs Apollo woill be is it about Laziness and Hard work.

NOOOOOOO! Tesla the absolute damn chad died:(
Can’t believe they turned Danganronpa into a RoR fight

Didn't tesla die penniless and alone irl
Yep he was tricked out of his funding by his investors and forced to declare bankruptcy, dying of hear failure not long after, oh and Qin Shi Huang drunk Mercury to try become immortal and died so yeah…
I mean the majority of the gods who have won have been changed by their fights against humanity even if the gods win it won't be the end of humanity there's going to be some of the gods joining humanity and fighting back
The big issue I have with the Gods winning is that it ultimately proves the Gods were right and that they were superior to humanity, if humanity cannot win by their own hands then they are just being spared by the gods, the story serves to show that the humans are not inferior to the gods that they have just as much right to live as the gods so them being spared really would water that down,
I can’t believe Tesla lost to that emo tool Beelzebub
What did you expect? Beel had so much more backstory than Tesla
Adam had much more backstory than Zeus and still lost lol.@@Sightseeker770
What i rly missed in the anime was that guy with girls which zurofoku saved
Such an asshole
What exactly about tesla did he trust
