Hi I have a giotto 2 and have the option to use the water tank. But I can also put a water hose on the tap. But I don't know how to connect it to the machine. Can you explain me with a video how to do this. regards

It's not necessary to remove the shower screen to clean it and behind it ?

Judging by where the steam gauge is sitting, the pressurestat on that machine is set way too low. Secondly the lever on the grouphead squeaks horribly. The cam lobe inside the group head may need to be resurfaced. Maybe all that backflushing has led to this squeaking lever action.

Is this the same process for every e-61 brew head?

+Phil Alexandre Yes, the process is the same for all variations of the E-61 group

Doesn't sound too healthy that sometimes the pump goes silent and sometimes not?

Sounds normal for a vibratory pump.

E61 machines have a mechanical 3-way valve (not a solenoid valve.)

The E61 does have a solenoid valve which delivers water to the grouphead.

      Pretty sure it's a 3-way solenoid valve :P
