So good to hear you liked our mudlarking videos, but health concerns led to a decision to avoid going too far off the beaten track and to minimise the possibility of falling. We miss mudlarking 🤠😎🐼
What a beautiful day! Those views!😯 Phil and Caroline thank you so much for these videos as it's the only way I'll ever get to experience the beauty of these magnificent places!❤
Definitely the best castle ever. So beautiful. I did not know about the Ragland sleeve! I hope you are both well, (and not working too hard Phil). Thank you my lovelies xx Teresa❤🇦🇺
Raglan is an amazing castle Teresa. Caroline isn't well at the moment thanks to a nasty winter bug and as we approach Christmas I'm definitely too busy at work, but I have a day off today so I'm able to catch up on replying to all your wonderful comments. Thank you for all you kind words and support 🤠😎🐼
I love your historical videos. I think castles are especially exciting. I love your voices as well. You both have lovely accents. Phil delivers his knowledge in expert style. Thank you so much for making these videos and sharing them with us.
Thank you for your encouraging comment! Great to hear that you like the history and find castles exciting. This Friday there'll be 2 castles in the video 🤠🏰😎🏰🐼
WOW, I thought Trim Castle in Ireland was big, but Raglan looks much bigger and its architecture and beauty are second to none. Great video, and thanks for the history
I've been along with you,via your videos, since your earliest ones. And I really enjoy your visits to castles. You seem to wonder about the same odd things that I do, but never get addressed in other shows. I really like the fact that you pay attention to the aircraft overhead, by the way! In my family, any small turboprop we could hear was a "Cessna", so that was great to hear.😊 Always get excited when I hear a radial engine overhead though, usually means an old warbird! You both make the world a better place. Believe me.😊
Thank you for being there with us on our adventures Peter... So glad you like the castles and glad that the 'Cessna' mention brought back memories. We are so grateful for your kind words, and encouragement. Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
That is one stunning castle and a formidable fortification. It's lovely that so much of it survives, not to mention some of the contraptions which were used within it! And the views are heavenly and can't be that different to how they appeared in the heyday of the castle. Just lovely and what a fantastic place to explore!
Thank you for sharing this video. I really enjoyed seeing the fireplaces up high on the walls and the remarkable food warmer. I love castles but we don’t have any here in Florida! So I appreciate the beautiful footage and comments about the history. You are a lovely couple!
That was awesome, they certainly knew how to build things back then. I’m with you Phil i hate heights, i can barely stand up on a chair to change a light bulb without someone holding me lol. Brilliant video, thank you for taking us along for the tour. Take care and stay safe 👏🙏❤️
Beautiful castle and the area is just gorgeous ! Caroline and Phil you both did an excellent work on narrations and filming. Have a wonderful week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽
20 years ago when I was 9 I fell down those steps from the half way point of the flag tower. A group of tourists tried helping me but they couldn't speak much English so communication was complicated when tried helping me up and finding my family. It was a whole thing. My mother had to ring my school on the Monday to explain what had happened because of all the very bad bruising on my back and backside. 😬🤣
3-4 years ago me and my partner went there and I was still extremely nervous about that tower, my knees were shaking on the way down, that time though no accidents thankfully.
Not a pleasant memory Meg, and I can see how easily someone could have a nasty fall on those steps. Good on you for going back and facing the challenge again, so glad there were no accidents on the second visit. 🤠😎🐼
Interesting castle, what a lovely day to have a look around too, its a lovely country when the sun shines. Never been to Raglan, closest ive been is the blorenge near Abergavenny, Monmouthshire is one of the best parts of Wales. Best wishes to you both.👍
Monmouthshire is a beautiful county Paul, and we love to visit the area, especially when the sun shines. 🌞 We've driven past Raglan Castle so many times, but this was our first time to stop and take a look around. We were very impressed, so glad you liked it too. 🤠😎🐼
Yet another excellent video. With regarding the old chair and it’s inscription Julie was intrigued as she knew it wasn’t Latin so she looked it up, it’s old Norman Anglo French. It translation is, Evil Unto Him That Thinks Evil Of It, the motto of the British chivalric order of the carter. Best wishes ⭐️😊👍 Mark and Julie

You can see my mum's house from up there.
They say it's a small world Dave, and we could see a long way from the top of that tower 🤠😎🐼
