As a person who received tongues, I thank God and confess that I have benefited greatly from speaking in tongues. If I had not been able to pray in tongues, I might have hated my mother and committed murder. I might have become a criminal who committed crimes. When I prayed to God in tongues in the midst of suffering, I was able to not lose my faith in all kinds of suffering.
My mother was a false prophetess. She prevented me from dating any woman in my 20s and 30s because she had a vision in which god showed her a woman and she would marry me. She stopped me from dating any woman, telling me to wait for God’s revelation. But now I am in my mid-40s and I know that my mother was deceived by the devil and gave false prophecies. I am old now and lost my hair. When I realized that my mother gave false prophecies, I hated her and thought about killing her. But God taught me how to pray in tongues and whenever I prayed in tongues directly to God, God healed the hurt and pain I had because of my mother. Glory be to God! I just ask that He restore what I lost.
As I wrote in other comments, speaking in tongues is a direct, encrypted communication line with God. It allows you to pray purely according to what God wants you to pray, not according to human thoughts or desires, and thus fulfills God’s will. It allows you to pray and respond directly through the Holy Spirit to the prayer topics that He wants to answer the most from humans, so you can receive answers faster than any other prayer. It also allows you to communicate deeply with God, so you can spend hours in prayer and fellowship with Him. Speaking in tongues is an essential ability to maintain the right faith in this evil age. My mother was also a faithful person and a respected pastor. However, she became corrupt in her later years and hurt and tested many people with all kinds of false prophecies. When I see my mother, I realize that this is a time when it is really difficult to maintain faith. I hope that the owner of this channel and everyone who reads my articles earnestly seek the speaking in tongues. God does not hesitate to give it to His children when they ask.
Most evangelical churches avoid teaching this and some are even against it, and many of them teach the concept wrongly. I’m so happy that you can talk about it so openly and biblically that makes people really understand what speaking tongues is ❤

I doubted tongues, and my friend asked why. I said that it seems to be misused. Later I came under spiritual attack due to a fear of being alone. While I was praying, I found myself telling God, “ Ok…I’ll take tongues if you want me to have it.” Immediately my prayer language changed. It has been a source of edification since, and I no longer deal with that kind of fear.
@joyinthemorn9772 be careful sounds like the devil tricking you. Tongues is being able to communicate with other people in the world ie being able to speak German when you speak English. It is nothing more and nothing less. God want the disciples to speak with others and evangelise to the world so he gifted tongues the languages of the world to the disciples through his holy spirit.
As a newborn Christian I have been studying, trying to understand the Holy Spirit and the gifts. For the longest I’ve been confused about tongues only because I go to a church where it’s spiritually driven. I was told that if you don’t have the gift of tongues then you don’t have the Holy Spirit within you. It caused so much confusion that I thought my gift of service was not that special. I questioned if I even had the Holy Spirit within me even though I felt at times something was holding me back when I want to satisfy my flesh. I prayed and asked for clarity. sad to say, there's some church like that. it is a requirement to them that before you serve in the ministry, you must have the gift of tounge as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit . keep praying and asking God for discernment to find the right church for you or that they may be enlightened. I should probably share this as a testimony to when I first started reading the Bible more. It was two years, maybe three years ago now, when I was in a dark place; I would cut my arms, cut at my chest, have same-sex relations with men, and even desired to be a female. I was struggling through these things, and it led to me even praying for the latter. But then I started to read the Bible almost on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day --in the morning and at night-- as well as praying in the bathroom early in the morning. And it was during some time in the June, at night when I was reading the word involving 1 Corinthians that I came across the verse involving the gift of tongues. And when I read it, I closed my eyes and I prayed to understand what it meant to speak in tongues. And after I had said this, something burned in my. It was hot, but not in a bad way, and my tongue moved and I spoke loudly up until I started to break down crying with my mom, my grandma, and even my dad rushing in to the room. And it was at that moment, as I found myself calmed, I knew that God was true; He was real, and I found myself calling to Him with tears. To this day, I am always reminded of that night as the first time I got to understand God from his Word, and that he is Truth. May God be blessed, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙂

Hey impact ministries I have a question, my mother sent me a vid about the wrong things in the bible saying thats through translation God was always "gods" and Jesus was of a different pantheon and I didn't know what to think of this as im very confused with this and what you have to say
God has given me the gift of tongues and for years i could speak in those tongues. I have the capacity to control it like turning it on and off like a tap. One evening i asked God to take away my gift temporarily so i could see what would happen if i tried without him and sure enough he did. It came out as a numb tongue sound (like post oral dentist procedure) and words weren’t forming like they normally would. It gave me a sense of awe of Gods capacity to allow me to speak fluently in something i don’t understand.

My mom actually had the gift of tongues, I’ve heard her praying in it several times and I could never understand what she was saying, but it was an early proof to me that God is real, she’s been “asleep” for a good few years now but I know she’s right there with her family and rejoicing in the name of the Lord
I have come to realize that people confuse speaking in tongues for personal edification and speaking in tongues for the edification of the church which requires an interpreter. Oh I never knew I had the gift of wisdom! I love ranting to friends, especially in bible studies because I don't have much planned but I know that somehow God will always reveal something to me while I'm speaking. I've never thought of this as something spesific, but I remember I got filled by the Holy Spirit by explaining to my youth leader what my group had used as symbols in our gingerbread house. Most random topic ever but I ended up talking about the reason Jesus died for us haha

Yes some receive the gift. My friend who is now a pastor prayed over my son when he had a concussion before I walked into the ER. He was speaking in tongues in some parts of his prayer. And as soon as he started praying my son opened his eyes and screamed the name of Jesus and he was instantly healed. I seen this before my eyes as a testimony of what Jesus did for my son. We went into the ER instructed by my friend but said they would find nothing wrong with him. He was right because Jesus healed him I do have to say though that my friend said and told me that there is 2 tongues.. the enemies tongue and Gods gift of tongues.

I do not agree with the fact that what is done in some movement and churches is the actual gift of speaking in tongues, but this is one of the best videos i have seen on the topic.
The verse the video references but doesn't mention is just after the "Love is" verses he talked about saying how Paul's talking about spiritual gifts. It's 1 Cor 13:10 saying that when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part will be done away. This is taken to mean that the "perfect" is the complete word of God. When the Bible came together, the "in part" or spiritual gifts would pass away. The situations SilverStar points out sound just like people that think they're using tongues, as they said "making up syllables" and getting carried away with every whim and then interpreters using that to fan peoples flames. Whether these people know in their heart it's nonsense or really believe they're doing something. Paul says we don't need this anymore because we have the Bible to root us in love, faith, and hope. Before Christians needed words from God's Spirit because they didn't have access to the complete knowledge of the Bible so they needed some gaps filled by the Spirit.
@@SilverStarFour Honestly speaking, of all the reasons i have heard for why the gift exists, this is one of the worst. You do not learn a gift, you either receive it or not. Personal story: In 2016 or so my aunt was dying, she hopped churches looking for a miracle and she went to a church that spoke in tongues and they were trying to teach her syllable by syllable, which is not what the Bible said is the gift at all. I cannot comment on what is real or not for you but personal reality does not make it right. There are about 2 billion plus muslims who believe they are worshipping God, daily mortifying the flesh at least externally more than us christians and no matter how real the experience of being a muslim is, it is still wrong, and if they die in their sins, they will end up eternally in judgement. And there's many more i would like to say but it is not beneficial online. You are still my brethren in christ although i heavily disagree with the points you mentioned

I have been having a difficult time lately and had a tough quiet time between myself and God, where I spoke in tongues for a solid hour. You don't actually need an interpretor for your own personal time with the Lord. Look up Vlad Savchuk's teaching on being baptized with the Holy Spirit and receiving your holy language. Even the devil cannot understand it! It's literally like military secrets out of God'sheart to yours and back again!! 💪

This is so good!! as someone who is a daughter of a mother who speaks in tongues I never really understood it and why she would do it. It wasn't a a known language and that is something i knew but this video really helped me understand her AND her multiple gifts.
As someone who speaks in tongues thank you so much for making this video! Tongues is a topic that a lot of the church doesn't understand because it has been faked in churches before so some naturally are suspicious of its authenticity. As a side note, you're spot on about it growing. When I first got the gift it was Spanish and was more of a Holy Spirit experience, after using it more and more I can use it "on command" in a way but still only when feeling led by the Holy Spirit to do so. Sometimes you don't know what to pray for or know you have to pray but don't have the words and that's where the gift is so powerful and helpful. Also as it grows new languages can be introduced. I recall Spanish, French, Chinese, and Vietnamese and when in some deep prayer some kind of Middle Eastern language. I don't mean to say that to boast, I'm simply helping people understand that the more it's used the more the Holy Spirit will grow the gift. I hope this also helps give Christians a better understanding of the gift and that it's definitely still real today even if some sad few lie or fake it.
I'm glad you pointed out that it may not be a known language. I learned that it's like a private personal language between you and God! It confounds the enemy (satan and the fallen angels) and they can't understand it when you speak in tongues. Only God can understand that unless he gives someone else the interpretation! Idk man, i don't think God needs you to have some personal language the devil cannot understand. God is almighty, he doesn't need to "hide" your requests from the devil. God's Will will be done whether the devil knows about it or not.
@@tommyo2172 Good point and very true. I've thought about that as well. I was just pointing out what had been explained to me or revealed to me when I was a new Christian and had SOOO many questions. And all along my journey as a growing Christian. Perhaps God has another reason to confound the enemy. Or perhaps there is no reason at all. I'm so grateful I was led to watch this video. I've been blessed with the gift of speaking in tongues, prayer language. Yet, I stopped due to all the hype and negativity surrounding it and how it died with the apostles. I felt torn and even guilty. I love praying in tongues and feeling they special connection with God. Trust me, I've been feeling disconnected and very distant from God. And I now know why. I thank God for your videos and teachings as they have had such a huge impact on my walk and growth. Especially with all the struggles, fear, guilt, self doubt and feeling like God turned his back on me and wanted nothing to do with me.
I just wanted to comment on the part when you say about having the gift of wisdom. I have also been in that situation where I'm trying to teach or explain to a person and than all this knowledge and wisdom just starts flowing out, things I've never understood myself. When it's over my mind is blown away and I feel absolutely exhausted mentally and physically. It's an absolutely amazing experience, it doesn't happen alot, but when it does it's incredible, its almost like I'm learning also even tho the words are coming out of my mouth as I say it I'm also learning things I've never understood. I also believe I have the gift of decerning spirits, because it doesn't matter who I come into contact with, for some reason I can decern what a person is going through and the spirit behind it. I can instantly see through false teachers , false Christians, true Christians and so on.
I’m a newborn Christian and I thank God and Lord Jesus Christ for this new season I’m in. I’am nervous though because I want to help so many people that are like me growing with God and Lord Jesus Christ but, now I am nervous that I will not find my spiritual gift to help people since I’m so early in my journey. I have faith God will help me find the way I just pray I see it for I can use it to help people grow and love God and Lord Jesus Christ as I do!!!!
I have experienced my prayers being answered in my English language. I have spoken in “tongues” and did not experience any thing different but just being emotional and it did not help with any relief or improve my beliefs. My continuous life blessings happened when I prayed and ask for understanding of God’s Word as I read it. And for that my life has been fulfilled.

I love this video above all because I had asked God to give me understanding of the Gift of tongues I started watching some videos on speaking in tongues and made some notes on my laptop. Then I accidentally lost the notes. I started going back through the videos (which btw had different views and understandings) and I rewrote my notes after finishing the notes I come back on TH-cam to find some conclusions only to find that you guys have posted a video on the topic, from a perspective that I understand your videos well. I was impressed to find exactly what I had concluded in you video and I thank God for it. May God continue blessing you with more and more teachings ❤
I personally distinguish between *privately* speaking in tongues and *publicly* speaking in tongues, and I feel it's important to make that distinction between the two because the former is for personal edification and talking with God, and the latter is what requires interpretation so the Church can be built up. I've been able to pray in tongues since my baptism in the Holy Spirit twelve years ago, but it wasn't until last year that I ever spoke in tongues in front of anyone, and only a few months ago I spoke out in tongues in church service for the first time (and it *was* interpreted). It's possible they were one and the same gift for me and what changed was my comfort level, but I think that personal *private* prayer in tongues is something every believer should pursue (and definitely NOT required for salvation!! only God's grace does that). I have also sung in tongues and signed in tongues; in all cases I'm just letting the Holy Spirit flow/express through me.

I have found that the gift of tongues comes in handy during situations where something scary happens or when u dont know what to do. My motto if u dont know what to do/how to pray pray in tongues. (If u have it.) More advanced tongues are singing in tongues, warring in tongues and praying tongues in ur head. Each of these have their own special times when they shine. When u forst get it know that like any language u start out small. When i started i had only a handful of words but as you excersize it you will expand in your language. I pray this helps and encourages.

The gift of tongues after u recieved it is opperated by faith just like any other gift the Lord gives us people that have the gift of tongues can pray in tongues at any time they open there mouth they can choose to exercise tongues or speak in their native language. I've recieved the gift of tongues a year after i got saved and it is possible to speak it at any moment thru faith one time i was praying in tongues and a lady that just came that day told me i was praying and praising God in arabic and i dont speak arabic.

I am getting massive insight about the Gift of Tongues! Until now, I realized that I am capable of teaching my peers and crave for wisdom. For instance, I have tutored a child who has AuHD. After a few sessions, he's managing to thrive on academics. While I may not have the Gift of Tongues, I thank the Lord for how he made me wonderfully complex. (Psalm 139:14). Also, it's almost going to be my first anniversary of my right arm being broken during college orientation. Yet again, Christ protected me.
Amazing video! I only have one thing to say, and that when Paul says to have order, only few people and if there’s not an interpreter to be silent, it’s only speaking to one church (Corinthians). It’s not a general thing. Some theologians say that probably the Corinthians used really really much this gift, so much that they couldn’t do other things, therefore Paul wrote this letter. Good job mate! Might I add that the Holy Spirit could still communicate to some one through the gift. Like if you don’t know Chinese but the person next to you does, the Holy Spirit can use the gift to tell something to the person next to you in Chinese. Also, the Holy Spirit can pray through people about you, or about some one else, or something else
Speaking in tongues was a topic that always confused me, mostly because I never saw anyone doing it. But now after watching this video, I got to thinking. I have a friend who is a very gifted speaker. He talks quite a bit about viewing the Scriptures "through Jewish eyes." To this end, he's very knowledgeable about the Jewish culture and religion, and often reinterprets the original text in his talks. I'm fascinated by this knowledge because it often changes the way we view the Scriptures. For example, the way he interpreted the birth of Jesus story indicates that Joseph decided to stay with extended family in Bethlehem during the census. He said that the part stating that there was no room for them in the inn so the innkeeper offered them the stable instead could be better translated to say that there was no room for them to have the baby in the upper room, so they went to the lower area of the house where the animals lived for some privacy. (If you're having trouble visualizing this, think about what Mary's house looked like in the Return to Nazareth episode of The Chosen.) So basically, I'm not sure if this would count as "the gift of tongues" -- maybe it would count as "the gift of interpretation"? I'm not familiar enough with his background to know what he studied in school, but I do know he led several trips to Israel in recent years with my parents going on one of them.

I never saw it in that manner before, but it makes sense when you put scripture into context. Unfortunately for me, i don't have the gift of tongues. Idk my gift atm, but i trust that He'll reveal it to me in the near future by His timing. Btw! Thx for all your videos! Your videos helped me to stay relaxed at all of my dentist appointments. I would add that tongues as gift with a public message from the Lord is different than speaking in our own heavenly language. See Mark 16:17 for example

Same, I don't believe it's God's will for me yet. I have faith one day, but patience and growth is important. Especially getting a foundation in the word before getting caught up in spiritual giftings.
@@jamesgraham6492 God gave it to me during one of the lowest points of my life. I cried myself to sleep praying in tongues the night God blessed me with it (felt like I was wrapped in pure love and my tears started to flow while my head cleared. I couldn't understand the language, but I felt the utmost love I've never felt before and I knew it was God). I woke up the next day feeling EXTREMELY CONFIDENT and BOLD. My addiction was gone, my depression, anxiety, unexplained fear, all erased overnight. I've been praying in tongues and using it ever since. I don't think it gives arrogance, but it definitely makes me feel bold (like God is with me always).
The main issue with this gift is an unintentional ramification, that some Pentecostal Churches focus much more on the gift than the source of the gift and think that any time they start to speak strangely is tongues. I went to one with a friend and I had yellow flags going off in my head the whole time, but it went red when the pastor claimed that when he had a fit of talking on a strange, fast, and unfamiliar way while spasming a long while ago just SCREAMED a demonic influence. Not that he was demonic, but rather a was affected by a deception. He also claimed to be able to tell who had problems in the congregation but he didn't describe them at all. I really don't feel like that guy is as tied to God as he believes, because I know God has given me the internal warnings to bad teaching. Like how I really wanted to throw up when I listened to someone critique Brandon Robertson's twisted teaching. It was so hard to get through the critique because what was being critiqued made my skin crawl.

this a confirmation for me i watch a video last week that says the gift of tounges is not for everybody and before i used to believe that you need the gift of tounges to be saved cus i think im feeling left i thought im not saved cus im not speaking in tounges cus ive ask god to receive the holy ghost before and i thought the holy ghost was the gift of tounges and when ive watch this video its almost the same video from last two weeks and i know this is god telling me that everyone doesn’t have the gift of tounges thank you Jesus! for the confirmation Hallelujah!
I believe that speaking in tongues is for everyone.The verse in the Bible that you used speaks about gifts of the spirit in the church . So yes some people can have certain gifts in the church and the gifts that you are given are used for the body of Christ.But the gift of tongues is also personal and everyone can do it. In Mark 16:17,says: "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues." So speaking in tongues is for every believer!
I like to compare speaking in tongues to encrypted communication. The gift of speaking in tongues is a means of communicating with God and believers through encrypted communication. No one can hear it. Not angels, not demons, not people. Only God hears and responds. Furthermore, because we pray as the Holy Spirit speaks, the Holy Spirit prays and God responds. It becomes the most perfect prayer that a human being can do.
Amazing channel BTW The gift of tongues is powered by the spirit of God. And I believe it’s a way for God to speak to us as well,, and I say that because English (my native language) is also a tongue. If God spoke out of me a message in English, I wouldn’t need someone to interpret that message. I also believe someone can speak in tongues (at times) and not have that gift. God will use whom he wants and when he wants to.

As a person who received tongues, I thank God and confess that I have benefited greatly from speaking in tongues. If I had not been able to pray in tongues, I might have hated my mother and committed murder. I might have become a criminal who committed crimes. When I prayed to God in tongues in the midst of suffering, I was able to not lose my faith in all kinds of suffering.

My mother was a false prophetess. She prevented me from dating any woman in my 20s and 30s because she had a vision in which god showed her a woman and she would marry me. She stopped me from dating any woman, telling me to wait for God’s revelation. But now I am in my mid-40s and I know that my mother was deceived by the devil and gave false prophecies. I am old now and lost my hair. When I realized that my mother gave false prophecies, I hated her and thought about killing her. But God taught me how to pray in tongues and whenever I prayed in tongues directly to God, God healed the hurt and pain I had because of my mother. Glory be to God! I just ask that He restore what I lost.
As I wrote in other comments, speaking in tongues is a direct, encrypted communication line with God. It allows you to pray purely according to what God wants you to pray, not according to human thoughts or desires, and thus fulfills God’s will. It allows you to pray and respond directly through the Holy Spirit to the prayer topics that He wants to answer the most from humans, so you can receive answers faster than any other prayer. It also allows you to communicate deeply with God, so you can spend hours in prayer and fellowship with Him. Speaking in tongues is an essential ability to maintain the right faith in this evil age. My mother was also a faithful person and a respected pastor. However, she became corrupt in her later years and hurt and tested many people with all kinds of false prophecies. When I see my mother, I realize that this is a time when it is really difficult to maintain faith. I hope that the owner of this channel and everyone who reads my articles earnestly seek the speaking in tongues. God does not hesitate to give it to His children when they ask.
Most evangelical churches avoid teaching this and some are even against it, and many of them teach the concept wrongly. I’m so happy that you can talk about it so openly and biblically that makes people really understand what speaking tongues is ❤

I doubted tongues, and my friend asked why. I said that it seems to be misused. Later I came under spiritual attack due to a fear of being alone. While I was praying, I found myself telling God, “ Ok…I’ll take tongues if you want me to have it.” Immediately my prayer language changed. It has been a source of edification since, and I no longer deal with that kind of fear.

As a newborn Christian I have been studying, trying to understand the Holy Spirit and the gifts. For the longest I’ve been confused about tongues only because I go to a church where it’s spiritually driven. I was told that if you don’t have the gift of tongues then you don’t have the Holy Spirit within you. It caused so much confusion that I thought my gift of service was not that special. I questioned if I even had the Holy Spirit within me even though I felt at times something was holding me back when I want to satisfy my flesh. I prayed and asked for clarity. I’m so happy that you dropped this video ❤

sad to say, there's some church like that. it is a requirement to them that before you serve in the ministry, you must have the gift of tounge as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit . keep praying and asking God for discernment to find the right church for you or that they may be enlightened. I should probably share this as a testimony to when I first started reading the Bible more.
It was two years, maybe three years ago now, when I was in a dark place; I would cut my arms, cut at my chest, have same-sex relations with men, and even desired to be a female. I was struggling through these things, and it led to me even praying for the latter.
But then I started to read the Bible almost on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day --in the morning and at night-- as well as praying in the bathroom early in the morning.
And it was during some time in the June, at night when I was reading the word involving 1 Corinthians that I came across the verse involving the gift of tongues. And when I read it, I closed my eyes and I prayed to understand what it meant to speak in tongues. And after I had said this, something burned in my. It was hot, but not in a bad way, and my tongue moved and I spoke loudly up until I started to break down crying with my mom, my grandma, and even my dad rushing in to the room.
And it was at that moment, as I found myself calmed, I knew that God was true; He was real, and I found myself calling to Him with tears.
To this day, I am always reminded of that night as the first time I got to understand God from his Word, and that he is Truth.

God has given me the gift of tongues and for years i could speak in those tongues. I have the capacity to control it like turning it on and off like a tap. One evening i asked God to take away my gift temporarily so i could see what would happen if i tried without him and sure enough he did. It came out as a numb tongue sound (like post oral dentist procedure) and words weren’t forming like they normally would. It gave me a sense of awe of Gods capacity to allow me to speak fluently in something i don’t understand.
The gift of teaching and wisdom in the speaker is amazing, it's not just human ability, it's a gift from God.

My mom actually had the gift of tongues, I’ve heard her praying in it several times and I could never understand what she was saying, but it was an early proof to me that God is real, she’s been “asleep” for a good few years now but I know she’s right there with her family and rejoicing in the name of the Lord

Oh I never knew I had the gift of wisdom! I love ranting to friends, especially in bible studies because I don't have much planned but I know that somehow God will always reveal something to me while I'm speaking. I've never thought of this as something spesific, but I remember I got filled by the Holy Spirit by explaining to my youth leader what my group had used as symbols in our gingerbread house. Most random topic ever but I ended up talking about the reason Jesus died for us haha

Yes some receive the gift. My friend who is now a pastor prayed over my son when he had a concussion before I walked into the ER. He was speaking in tongues in some parts of his prayer. And as soon as he started praying my son opened his eyes and screamed the name of Jesus and he was instantly healed. I seen this before my eyes as a testimony of what Jesus did for my son. We went into the ER instructed by my friend but said they would find nothing wrong with him. He was right because Jesus healed him
I do have to say though that my friend said and told me that there is 2 tongues.. the enemies tongue and Gods gift of tongues.

The verse the video references but doesn't mention is just after the "Love is" verses he talked about saying how Paul's talking about spiritual gifts. It's 1 Cor 13:10 saying that when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part will be done away. This is taken to mean that the "perfect" is the complete word of God. When the Bible came together, the "in part" or spiritual gifts would pass away.
The situations SilverStar points out sound just like people that think they're using tongues, as they said "making up syllables" and getting carried away with every whim and then interpreters using that to fan peoples flames. Whether these people know in their heart it's nonsense or really believe they're doing something.
Paul says we don't need this anymore because we have the Bible to root us in love, faith, and hope. Before Christians needed words from God's Spirit because they didn't have access to the complete knowledge of the Bible so they needed some gaps filled by the Spirit.
@@SilverStarFour Honestly speaking, of all the reasons i have heard for why the gift exists, this is one of the worst. You do not learn a gift, you either receive it or not. Personal story: In 2016 or so my aunt was dying, she hopped churches looking for a miracle and she went to a church that spoke in tongues and they were trying to teach her syllable by syllable, which is not what the Bible said is the gift at all. I cannot comment on what is real or not for you but personal reality does not make it right. There are about 2 billion plus muslims who believe they are worshipping God, daily mortifying the flesh at least externally more than us christians and no matter how real the experience of being a muslim is, it is still wrong, and if they die in their sins, they will end up eternally in judgement. And there's many more i would like to say but it is not beneficial online. You are still my brethren in christ although i heavily disagree with the points you mentioned

You don't actually need an interpretor for your own personal time with the Lord. Look up Vlad Savchuk's teaching on being baptized with the Holy Spirit and receiving your holy language. Even the devil cannot understand it! It's literally like military secrets out of God'sheart to yours and back again!! 💪

This is so good!! as someone who is a daughter of a mother who speaks in tongues I never really understood it and why she would do it. It wasn't a a known language and that is something i knew but this video really helped me understand her AND her multiple gifts.
As someone who speaks in tongues thank you so much for making this video! Tongues is a topic that a lot of the church doesn't understand because it has been faked in churches before so some naturally are suspicious of its authenticity.
As a side note, you're spot on about it growing. When I first got the gift it was Spanish and was more of a Holy Spirit experience, after using it more and more I can use it "on command" in a way but still only when feeling led by the Holy Spirit to do so. Sometimes you don't know what to pray for or know you have to pray but don't have the words and that's where the gift is so powerful and helpful.
Also as it grows new languages can be introduced. I recall Spanish, French, Chinese, and Vietnamese and when in some deep prayer some kind of Middle Eastern language. I don't mean to say that to boast, I'm simply helping people understand that the more it's used the more the Holy Spirit will grow the gift.
I hope this also helps give Christians a better understanding of the gift and that it's definitely still real today even if some sad few lie or fake it.

Idk man, i don't think God needs you to have some personal language the devil cannot understand. God is almighty, he doesn't need to "hide" your requests from the devil. God's Will will be done whether the devil knows about it or not.

I'm so grateful I was led to watch this video. I've been blessed with the gift of speaking in tongues, prayer language. Yet, I stopped due to all the hype and negativity surrounding it and how it died with the apostles. I felt torn and even guilty. I love praying in tongues and feeling they special connection with God. Trust me, I've been feeling disconnected and very distant from God. And I now know why. I thank God for your videos and teachings as they have had such a huge impact on my walk and growth. Especially with all the struggles, fear, guilt, self doubt and feeling like God turned his back on me and wanted nothing to do with me.

I just wanted to comment on the part when you say about having the gift of wisdom. I have also been in that situation where I'm trying to teach or explain to a person and than all this knowledge and wisdom just starts flowing out, things I've never understood myself. When it's over my mind is blown away and I feel absolutely exhausted mentally and physically. It's an absolutely amazing experience, it doesn't happen alot, but when it does it's incredible, its almost like I'm learning also even tho the words are coming out of my mouth as I say it I'm also learning things I've never understood. I also believe I have the gift of decerning spirits, because it doesn't matter who I come into contact with, for some reason I can decern what a person is going through and the spirit behind it. I can instantly see through false teachers , false Christians, true Christians and so on.

I’m a newborn Christian and I thank God and Lord Jesus Christ for this new season I’m in. I’am nervous though because I want to help so many people that are like me growing with God and Lord Jesus Christ but, now I am nervous that I will not find my spiritual gift to help people since I’m so early in my journey. I have faith God will help me find the way I just pray I see it for I can use it to help people grow and love God and Lord Jesus Christ as I do!!!!
I have experienced my prayers being answered in my English language. I have spoken in “tongues” and did not experience any thing different but just being emotional and it did not help with any relief or improve my beliefs. My continuous life blessings happened when I prayed and ask for understanding of God’s Word as I read it. And for that my life has been fulfilled.

I love this video above all because I had asked God to give me understanding of the Gift of tongues I started watching some videos on speaking in tongues and made some notes on my laptop. Then I accidentally lost the notes. I started going back through the videos (which btw had different views and understandings) and I rewrote my notes after finishing the notes I come back on TH-cam to find some conclusions only to find that you guys have posted a video on the topic, from a perspective that I understand your videos well. I was impressed to find exactly what I had concluded in you video and I thank God for it. May God continue blessing you with more and more teachings ❤
I personally distinguish between *privately* speaking in tongues and *publicly* speaking in tongues, and I feel it's important to make that distinction between the two because the former is for personal edification and talking with God, and the latter is what requires interpretation so the Church can be built up. I've been able to pray in tongues since my baptism in the Holy Spirit twelve years ago, but it wasn't until last year that I ever spoke in tongues in front of anyone, and only a few months ago I spoke out in tongues in church service for the first time (and it *was* interpreted). It's possible they were one and the same gift for me and what changed was my comfort level, but I think that personal *private* prayer in tongues is something every believer should pursue (and definitely NOT required for salvation!! only God's grace does that). I have also sung in tongues and signed in tongues; in all cases I'm just letting the Holy Spirit flow/express through me.

I have found that the gift of tongues comes in handy during situations where something scary happens or when u dont know what to do. My motto if u dont know what to do/how to pray pray in tongues. (If u have it.) More advanced tongues are singing in tongues, warring in tongues and praying tongues in ur head. Each of these have their own special times when they shine.
When u forst get it know that like any language u start out small. When i started i had only a handful of words but as you excersize it you will expand in your language. I pray this helps and encourages.

The gift of tongues after u recieved it is opperated by faith just like any other gift the Lord gives us people that have the gift of tongues can pray in tongues at any time they open there mouth they can choose to exercise tongues or speak in their native language. I've recieved the gift of tongues a year after i got saved and it is possible to speak it at any moment thru faith one time i was praying in tongues and a lady that just came that day told me i was praying and praising God in arabic and i dont speak arabic.

I am getting massive insight about the Gift of Tongues! Until now, I realized that I am capable of teaching my peers and crave for wisdom. For instance, I have tutored a child who has AuHD. After a few sessions, he's managing to thrive on academics. While I may not have the Gift of Tongues, I thank the Lord for how he made me wonderfully complex. (Psalm 139:14). Also, it's almost going to be my first anniversary of my right arm being broken during college orientation. Yet again, Christ protected me.

Amazing video! I only have one thing to say, and that when Paul says to have order, only few people and if there’s not an interpreter to be silent, it’s only speaking to one church (Corinthians). It’s not a general thing. Some theologians say that probably the Corinthians used really really much this gift, so much that they couldn’t do other things, therefore Paul wrote this letter. Good job mate! Might I add that the Holy Spirit could still communicate to some one through the gift. Like if you don’t know Chinese but the person next to you does, the Holy Spirit can use the gift to tell something to the person next to you in Chinese. Also, the Holy Spirit can pray through people about you, or about some one else, or something else

Speaking in tongues was a topic that always confused me, mostly because I never saw anyone doing it.
But now after watching this video, I got to thinking. I have a friend who is a very gifted speaker. He talks quite a bit about viewing the Scriptures "through Jewish eyes." To this end, he's very knowledgeable about the Jewish culture and religion, and often reinterprets the original text in his talks. I'm fascinated by this knowledge because it often changes the way we view the Scriptures.
For example, the way he interpreted the birth of Jesus story indicates that Joseph decided to stay with extended family in Bethlehem during the census. He said that the part stating that there was no room for them in the inn so the innkeeper offered them the stable instead could be better translated to say that there was no room for them to have the baby in the upper room, so they went to the lower area of the house where the animals lived for some privacy. (If you're having trouble visualizing this, think about what Mary's house looked like in the Return to Nazareth episode of The Chosen.)
So basically, I'm not sure if this would count as "the gift of tongues" -- maybe it would count as "the gift of interpretation"? I'm not familiar enough with his background to know what he studied in school, but I do know he led several trips to Israel in recent years with my parents going on one of them.

I cried myself to sleep praying in tongues the night God blessed me with it (felt like I was wrapped in pure love and my tears started to flow while my head cleared. I couldn't understand the language, but I felt the utmost love I've never felt before and I knew it was God). I woke up the next day feeling EXTREMELY CONFIDENT and BOLD. My addiction was gone, my depression, anxiety, unexplained fear, all erased overnight. I've been praying in tongues and using it ever since. I don't think it gives arrogance, but it definitely makes me feel bold (like God is with me always).

The main issue with this gift is an unintentional ramification, that some Pentecostal Churches focus much more on the gift than the source of the gift and think that any time they start to speak strangely is tongues. I went to one with a friend and I had yellow flags going off in my head the whole time, but it went red when the pastor claimed that when he had a fit of talking on a strange, fast, and unfamiliar way while spasming a long while ago just SCREAMED a demonic influence. Not that he was demonic, but rather a was affected by a deception. He also claimed to be able to tell who had problems in the congregation but he didn't describe them at all.
I really don't feel like that guy is as tied to God as he believes, because I know God has given me the internal warnings to bad teaching. Like how I really wanted to throw up when I listened to someone critique Brandon Robertson's twisted teaching. It was so hard to get through the critique because what was being critiqued made my skin crawl.

this a confirmation for me i watch a video last week that says the gift of tounges is not for everybody and before i used to believe that you need the gift of tounges to be saved cus i think im feeling left i thought im not saved cus im not speaking in tounges cus ive ask god to receive the holy ghost before and i thought the holy ghost was the gift of tounges and when ive watch this video its almost the same video from last two weeks and i know this is god telling me that everyone doesn’t have the gift of tounges thank you Jesus! for the confirmation Hallelujah!
I believe that speaking in tongues is for everyone.The verse in the Bible that you used speaks about gifts of the spirit in the church . So yes some people can have certain gifts in the church and the gifts that you are given are used for the body of Christ.But the gift of tongues is also personal and everyone can do it. In Mark 16:17,says:
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues."
So speaking in tongues is for every believer!
I like to compare speaking in tongues to encrypted communication. The gift of speaking in tongues is a means of communicating with God and believers through encrypted communication. No one can hear it. Not angels, not demons, not people. Only God hears and responds. Furthermore, because we pray as the Holy Spirit speaks, the Holy Spirit prays and God responds. It becomes the most perfect prayer that a human being can do.
Encrypted Communication. I had the same concept. God told me Speaking in Tongues was part of the Armor of God. Ephesians 6:18.

Amazing channel BTW The gift of tongues is powered by the spirit of God. And I believe it’s a way for God to speak to us as well,, and I say that because English (my native language) is also a tongue. If God spoke out of me a message in English, I wouldn’t need someone to interpret that message. I also believe someone can speak in tongues (at times) and not have that gift. God will use whom he wants and when he wants to.
