What’s the best build for Hwei? I see a lot of people are building Seraph and Cryptbloom, what should we build after that? Shadow flame?
Ludens/Seraph into Horizon/Liandry into Situational is best build IMO
Do you just use demats on hwei to setup bases on cannon waves or secure them when you can potentially get ganked?
I don't quite follow the logic of lucidity boots vs tanks and sorcs vs squishies. Is it luci boots bcs the amount of pen sorcs give is insignificant against tanks? And sorc vs squishies bcs you deal almost true dmg to them that way?
Basically you're right. With lucidity you'll get your 2nd and 3rd skill rotation faster (because they don't get killed in 1). With sorc your one rotation will hit for more.
Yeah basically. And because it assumes a void staff buy later on. So lucidity boots (more spells) with % pen against a high MR target will make your DPS a lot higher.

I have an odd question, the font for the game numbers, are they different because of korean server or is there somewhere u can change them in client or something? Always notice its different on your streams than what I see in client so was wondering about that.

Ok i legit thought that was a mistake but now on stream i saw him do it again. Is there a particular reason he only buys 1 Pot? Like 6 waves perfect cs plus the 50 gold saved gives Lost Chapter? Or is the goal is to get Refillable Potion as soon as possible anyways and the 50 gold saved on a Potion in particular just feels nice

He uses demat on minions when he needs to crash waves and reset quickly. Usually on cannons to make the clear much faster than the enemy mid can match.

I have never understood rapid-fire cannon on Smolder.. Sure its good if you take Fleet for a long range heal into speed for a follow up q. But I see Smolder players building it even without that rune. Its great on Jhin because his auto attacks are his main damage source in his kit, but for Smolder auto attacks are mainly secondary that you weave in-between Q casts, so does that single extra range auto really give that much to his kit in comparison to other items that have the possibility to grant much more damage output and survivability? Can anyone help me wrap my head around this?

Absolute worst matchups are fizz and kata. It becomes basically unplayable at 6, and even 4-5 is not great. Other assasins, while not the the greatest seem manageable once you get decent at laning with hwei.

Why sorcs bad if they stack mr? U will have to get pen then anyways and sorc will always give you a little more damage, so arent they guchi?
you want percent pen from void or cryptbloom instead of flat pen. Versus tanks you also fight longer, which makes having multiple spell rotations better, which lucidity helps with. It can also help apply liandry's better this way.
MR damage reduction scaling isnt linear. Ex: 25 MR is 20%, 100 MR is 50% and 200 MR is 66.6% damage reduction. So the 18 Magic pen on sorcs on a 25 MR target makes u deal ~15% more damage to them, against a 200Mr target u deal ~3% more. Edit: Look at @Craftee6 comment for calculation order.
Sorcs are more effective when enemy does not build mr items and is stuck on base mr, as it has flat penetration which equalizes quite a big part of anyones base mr because base mr is quite low. As soon as they get mr items they will have huge amounts of mr where the flat penetration ok sorcs has almost no value anymore relative to their mr. Therefore other boots would be more efficient. Because you just get void for % magic penetration which gets more value the more mr the opponents have
In addition Hwei usually spam his q so cd is really good on him especially s14 alot of cd on mage items got removed.
Almost correct except for order.
Order goes Shred > % pen > flat pen. For both armor and mr.
So for example, kogmaw or kayle Q, abyssal mask or black cleaver etc would apply first (for everyone), then % pen from for example void staff, LDR, darius or morde E (but only for them ofc) etc, then flat pen and lethality.

It's not about you being goof, it's about the champ being broken. Just randomly use your spells and you will do enough dmg.

Bro hwei has the same attack range as Jhin. Go nashors tooth first item. You do higher dps than luden/liandrys and it scales better. Why is everyone in league so shit at build making. Nah this build doesn't do any damage cuz your screen is always grey.... Hwei cant AA safely most of the time.
