What can not that be understood? The fake gps point is not the same as the home point. The fake gps must be DJI GO app, not the drone. After setting Fake gps, the Home point does not change. It shows the real coordinate. That is why return the home also works. Step 1: Set up fake gps with your Android device. Step 2: Launch the Dji GO app on the same device. You wait until you clearly see that the device has been turned into FCC mode. This does not happen immediately. If necessary, check it several times. Step 3: If ok, turn off the Android device, or if you are connected to a cable, disconnect (or wifi). Step 4: Connect your iOS device to the drone. Start the app. (Dji Go). In most cases, the application throws a notification that your geographic location has changed, you want to change this, you select NO !! You can ask this at each connection. Not all cases, and not all Dji products. Dji Phantom 4 does not jump the window, but the drum will be in FCC mode! I hope I was clear. John, pls fix it my comment. Thx.

Hi, I just followed your instructions and it all worked, thanks very much. BUT then I just discovered the DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 app! Does this not just do it all automatically? Or the Super Patcher 2.0?

After using the gps fake location app, the dji app ask to restart the drone due to gps error. I have restarted it multiple times but it says it cannot take off. Any idea on how to go back before i jave followed this tutorial?
I got this to work maybe once out of 10 attempts, but it did switch to FCC eventually.I am attempting to do it again on a different Spark and having the same frustrating lack of lack of success. The sequence of the steps is critical I assume. As per the vid, I am starting with the previously linked RC and Spark off. Here's what I'm doing:-1- Run the Floater app on my android device at a selected US location. I assume any place in US will do.2 - Switch on the RC and Spark and wait for them to connect.3 - Connect mobile device to the RC WiFi network.4 - Start the DJI GO 4 app on the mobile. At this point I think the RC and Spark should go through another connection process but they don't, after which I should stop and exit the Floater app then the GO 4 app. Then switch off RC and Spark, close the GO4 app, restart everything and I should be in FCC. But no luck. Where am I going wrong? Grrrrr.
Helo sir, it seems you make a lot people very happy..Very nice video..i will try is also for my Spark..Question: is it still work now ? hope so.. great things from Holland :)
Does this work with the latest firmwares/apps? I can't seem to get it to work. I'm in SE asia right now and am regretting clicking yes to reconfigure the wifi when I left Canada... - App: 4.3.2 - Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0500 - Remote Controller Firmware: v01.00.0200
Hi John, seem like this not work on Mavic 2? I had try it, Google Map did show the fake location in US, but the map in dji go 4 still show my real location
Having used it for more than a week now, I can see there is a glitch. If you go to an area that the WiFi noise is different, then you might get red bars on the frequency that the drone operates. But then you cannot change the WiFi without messing with the trick. You need that android to work the trick again. On the spot.
savah καλησπέρα, με Xiaomi X4. Αν σου αλλάζει την σύνδεση με το WiFi του spark προς κάποιο άλλο router, δοκίμασε να σβήσεις το άλλο router. Κανείς την σύνδεση τηλ-Spark απ´ευθείας ή δια μέσου του χειριστηρίου;
I plan to get a mavic air in the US . What if I just choose cancel on the popup when I get it back to Norway? (since the original setup location will be done in the US). Maybe I won't have to put in a fake gps location?
Thank´s a lot for this tutorial. The installation was easy. Today I tested everything and it worked great. I flew up to a distance of 1000 m without any problems. Particularly with regard to the camera there was absolutly no jerking. I use the newest DJI-Go-App, a Samsung Galaxy S7 an flew on 2,4GHz. Best regards Peter
I think actually if you change the tablet or mobile phones timezones to USA , West Coast , East Coast etc rather than your own time zone the same thing applies, you dont need fake GPS, doing it that way has the same effect or it did with my inspire.perhaps if you try it you can let me know
ciao, dopo aver impostato l'app hai inserito la modalità aereo? perchè io ho provato ma non ha funzionato (ho però lasciato attiva connessione e localizzazione....)grazie
When I connected OTG cable wifi automatically changed from 5.8Ghz to 2.4Ghz and I lost GPS signal. edNo GPS. And when I go on settings from 3 dots on upper right I don't see wifi icon. Is strange indeed.
Yes it does. I set it up on an old Samsung 12.1 inch tablet then when it was set, switched back to my iPad Mini 4 and checked the wifi settings. They are still showing the new channels.
To prove it 100% I set it back to CE, with my Android tablet, checked on the iPad and it was showing 13 channels + the 5.4Ghz ones. I set it back to FCC again with Floater and when I put the iPad back, I got no warning about changing, but when I checked the Wifi settings it was still showing only 11 channels + the 5.4Ghz. yet the little map on the bottom right was showing my house.
Thank you for the tutorial. I battled to make my Vodaphone Android tablet believe that it must use Floater for the fake address. While using floater and using Google maps on my tablet, it switches between the fake address and my real one, being picked op by my tablet. Don't know if I did something wrong. Floater did not work for me. I then downloaded Fake GPS (picture of small little fish with mobile phone) and used that. In this app there are settings where I can turn off for the phone to use the SIM card or WiFi to use current location. This worked and I changed to FCC mode as described in the tutorial and it works well.
Hi friend, thank you very much for the tutorial. just one question ! What happens if I need to return to the home point automatically? my location is different from fake gps, where will the drone go back ?? Thank you so much from Brazil.
Thank you! This worked exactly as described. Also when I’m back on my regular iPhone I can confirm that right now with the current version of DJI Go 4 on iOS, you DO NOT get the pop up asking you to switch to the correct zone again. There is a definite bug in the iOS version right now that means iOS users will never be asked to switch regions.
Same here. It worked on my Mavic Air. My Android tabled was so slow to do this but it worked. I'm now back on my iPad for flying in FCC mode. Good video THANK YOU ItalJohn
So.... This no longer works on the newest version of the DJI Go App. I tested this today and after I changed to FCC and turned my original location back on I got the prompt to change the WLAN settings back to EC. The thing is that I only have an OK button and can't use the app until I press OK.... @Italjohn13. What version of the app were you using in this video?
It seems that there are two version 4.2.6 updates in the app store. I checked the latest Software Version External Identifiers and both the 826302775 and the 825925620 are apparently 4.2.6. This also matches the app store information. Your video is uploaded on Feb 6th, yet the app store published the changelog/update changes on Feb 11th (NLD App store) Anyhow, I installed version 4.2.5 and now I have the option to cancel the WLAN prompt. Also, Thanks for the simple video, this is comprehensive and easy to follow. Thumbs up!
Actually just a quick update i have now got it to work as of an hour ago and it has increased my range big time, was getting warnings beforehand at 100 meters .
After travel from EU to IDAHO and switching from CE to FCC I have problem with Honor 9. Quite frequently and even in couple of meters distance i am getting on phone screen information about disconnect "no signal". Controller is Paired with drone, but the problem seems to be between controller and phone?! When I am using Ipad, the problem do not exist. In CE Mode there is no problem in connection. But as far as I know, the strength of the signal is weaker. Any clue Guys? I had been trying this in forest and in apartment. So there was no wifi interfere problem.
Which App version do you use? I have the newest (4.6.2) and it doesn't work (there is no question about the location, the US location is visible in the dji go app) thanks
Ja, du muss nur eine mal die GPS-Fake-App im Entwicklermodus starten das das Mobile kein GPS mehr hat und anschließend wider ausschalten und schon funktioniert es wieder ganz normal
@Liew Kok Leong so it is working again ?!? Ich still got an old Version of the DJI Go App, because of automaticliy swiched Back to EC by itself the Last des Versions
will this affect the GPS signals in europe for the RTH ? example if the app thinks i am in the US and picks up satellites from France will the RTH be a problem?
For those of you who are looking for a iOS method to get *FCC* on their *Mavic 2* or any other DJI drone on the latest firmware: I‘ve done a how-to on my channel!
Forcing the bird to switch to FCC seems to be working just fine using this method, but how about keeping it in that mode? I've read somewhere that the latest versions of DJI Go 4 will force it back to CE. Have you experienced that, and if so - when/how does this happen? When shutting down the Wifi-connection?
CyborgX i was wondering the Same, i use an old Version of the DJI Go App because the new ones was forcing IT Back to CE.... But i didnt tried the newest Version
Hi tried to do the mod via my Kindle Fire but when I try to set the fake location on Floater it asks to select High Accuracy in mode settings and I can't find high accuracy mode settings ! any help please
I'm guessing it's saved in the drone firmware somewhere since the drone automatically restarts after you apply new settings, but it will not do anything unless you accept the message about changing regions which is why in theory you only need to do it once.
must I be connected to the remotes WiFi while doing this. Or can I still give the false GPS using an otg cable. Will it do the same thing or I must be connected to the remotes WiFi.
@@Italjohn Does FCC work on iOS? Because I used an android to change the GPS location to US for the spark. And than I plugged in to my iPhone 6s and when it told me to change the location to the our current location I pressed cancel as mentioned. But when I flew the drone with my iphone plugged with to otg cable. The phone transmission was laggy and after only about 150 metres I already lost transmission. Excellent tip for us poor power-disadvantaged Europeans! BUT do you have ot run this procedure each time you fly, or just the first time you run the Go 4 App? Checking the home point on the map seems a crucial step to take on this procedure... :) Ian in London
You just need to run this one time. Just remember to press cancel everytime you get the WIFI warning on the startup screen. If you press ok, you are back in CE mode again.

Grrrrr.
Helo sir, it seems you make a lot people very happy..Very nice video..i will try is also for my Spark..Question: is it still work now ? hope so.. great things from Holland :)
thanks so much, explained very well, I did it in 60 seconds!
Nice video zahran , just I want to ask you if DJI release a new firmware update , should I cancel the massage pop up to change wi fi setting?
I can't really tell, but if it asks, I would press cancel on mine :-)
Any help would be nice floater is not working I click play then it pauses instantly
Does this work with the latest firmwares/apps? I can't seem to get it to work. I'm in SE asia right now and am regretting clicking yes to reconfigure the wifi when I left Canada...
- App: 4.3.2
- Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0500
- Remote Controller Firmware: v01.00.0200
I just got my mavic air, does this still work with the latest 4.3.12? And can i do this with my controller connected to the phone?
Hi John, seem like this not work on Mavic 2? I had try it, Google Map did show the fake location in US, but the map in dji go 4 still show my real location
Worked for me like a charm! Location: Greece. Thanks for my new crystal clear reception! Activated on Android and kept working on the iphone later.
Glad it work for you too :D
Having used it for more than a week now, I can see there is a glitch. If you go to an area that the WiFi noise is different, then you might get red bars on the frequency that the drone operates. But then you cannot change the WiFi without messing with the trick.
You need that android to work the trick again. On the spot.
Φίλε με τι android συσκευή το έκανες; Εγω με galaxy tab s3 χάνει το wifi αμέσως μολις το rc συνδέεται στο spark. Έχεις καμία ιδέα;
savah καλησπέρα, με Xiaomi X4. Αν σου αλλάζει την σύνδεση με το WiFi του spark προς κάποιο άλλο router, δοκίμασε να σβήσεις το άλλο router. Κανείς την σύνδεση τηλ-Spark απ´ευθείας ή δια μέσου του χειριστηρίου;
I plan to get a mavic air in the US . What if I just choose cancel on the popup when I get it back to Norway? (since the original setup location will be done in the US). Maybe I won't have to put in a fake gps location?
Yes, that will work the same way :-)
Normally it locates where it is so ull need to
Works for Mavic Air as well.
Hans Geurtsen Hi Hans,Mavic Air in Europe. Can you see any difference with range yet??
Robert Forbrich Yes, of course! Doubles the range!
Hans Geurtsen Thank you Hans. Enjoy!!
Hans Geurtsen fcc more go?
do i have to do this indoors where the drone cannot get its own gps to know its not in an FCC country?
Thank´s a lot for this tutorial. The installation was easy. Today I tested everything and it worked great. I flew up to a distance of 1000 m without any problems. Particularly with regard to the camera there was absolutly no jerking. I use the newest DJI-Go-App, a Samsung Galaxy S7 an flew on 2,4GHz. Best regards Peter
Hi, what version of the app are you using? Mine reset to CE every time. I have S7 as well.
I´m using the newest version of the App and it works without any problems.
@@Diskus1960 That's 4.3.12 ?
Yes, this is the version I use!
@@Diskus1960 And you have a spark? Does it ask at every start to modify wifi settings: Ok/Cancel?
Perfect thanks a lot / 900meters in ce and now 1800 in fcc. In the doubt I don’t make the last update of dji go on iOS
With cable or only WIFI?
Milos Zivkovic with câble or with wifi it s the same. I have done more than 2500m before deconnecting
Thanks!
In my case, my android only popup warning once and connect iPhone
the channel was turned on 2.46 and
Ce mod channel is 2.44-2.45
Thanks so much it works exactly as described here in Belgium, super.
Est ce que cela fonctionne également avec le mavic pro 1 ?
I think actually if you change the tablet or mobile phones timezones to USA , West Coast , East Coast etc rather than your own time zone the same thing applies, you dont need fake GPS, doing it that way has the same effect or it did with my inspire.perhaps if you try it you can let me know
Damn finally found a good explanation. Tusen takk!
hello thanks for the video, I just did fcc in italy. android and last djigo4 last version
ciao, dopo aver impostato l'app hai inserito la modalità aereo? perchè io ho provato ma non ha funzionato (ho però lasciato attiva connessione e localizzazione....)grazie
no connesso con wifi e connesione dati attiva
When I connected OTG cable wifi automatically changed from 5.8Ghz to 2.4Ghz and I lost GPS signal. edNo GPS. And when I go on settings from 3 dots on upper right I don't see wifi icon. Is strange indeed.
Do the settings stick if I were to do this on an android phone and then jump back over to my iPhone?
Yes it should
Yes it does.
Great tips ! Thank you.
Just turn off the fake gps and everything will work as normal.
hello/hei. does it still work?thanks.takk i forveien subbed
Flott, takker for tilbakemeldingen :-)
Thank you for the feedback.
Brian London Will try this today. Which drone have you got?
Same here. It worked on my Mavic Air. My Android tabled was so slow to do this but it worked. I'm now back on my iPad for flying in FCC mode. Good video THANK YOU ItalJohn
So those of us using iOS devices on CE mode are stuck with CE mode?
Get hold of an android device to do the hack then just use your ios device thereafter
I will check it on my new mavic air, really i am very sad with the actual wlan range, but i will test your setup!!!! Thanks from chile!
It should work. let us know how it went,ok :-)
Hi, i cannot make the floater to work and fix the fake GPS location, it does not show the setting fake location info....any help?
I will have to check when I get home, but think it is 4.2.6
Italjohn13. How hard can it be? I’d love to know, thnx in advance mate
I use app 4.2.6. See picture: i.imgur.com/IIPL5A5.jpg
It seems that there are two version 4.2.6 updates in the app store. I checked the latest Software Version External Identifiers and both the 826302775 and the 825925620 are apparently 4.2.6.
This also matches the app store information. Your video is uploaded on Feb 6th, yet the app store published the changelog/update changes on Feb 11th (NLD App store)
Anyhow, I installed version 4.2.5 and now I have the option to cancel the WLAN prompt.
Also, Thanks for the simple video, this is comprehensive and easy to follow. Thumbs up!
Fantastic. Thanks for leting us know :-)
Actually just a quick update i have now got it to work as of an hour ago and it has increased my range big time, was getting warnings beforehand at 100 meters .
Can you proceed that on an android device but fly your Spark with an iOS and still remain on FCC?
Yes it should work, but read some of the questions below, as some say the IOS will switch autoamticly back to CE. But give it at try and let us know.
use Litchi with IOS that allows you to go into FCC mode.
Hello
Which dji go 4 is stable
Dji spark
Fcc does not ask
Android 8.1
Thanks
Works with p3se and android device but how will it work on iphone?
It worked ! Thanks bud !
Will this discharge the batteries faster?
Is it still working?
I'm planning to buy a Mavic Air in the next days and want the full 4km range and not the stupid EU
Yes it working!
@@maxiblueRS Thanks man :)
Which App version do you use? I have the newest (4.6.2) and it doesn't work (there is no question about the location, the US location is visible in the dji go app) thanks
4.2.6 works ok
That's awesome. How do you change it back though ?!
Back to CE mode? You just press ok when you get the wlan message.
@@Italjohn
Thank you brother.
Nice one . Working great in uk dji spark thank U !!!
Have you uppdated the firmware .200?
Would this still work with new firmare update on the Mavic Air.
I don't know, sorry. But I guess it will work on newer firmwares as well. Only time will tell.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Can i apply this to mavic pro ? To force fcc mode ?
I guess it will work for the mavic Pro as well. Just try, you can't break anything :-)
Nice video. Fast, easy and simple. And works lol
That was a trip. Cool tutorial. Loved it. :)
Super Anleitung hat sehr gut funktioniert- Lob an John, Danke / Super instructions worked very well - praise John, thanks
Oliver Gamerdinger Hi, und kannst du normal fliegen kommt dann ohne Probleme zurück? Wegen falsche gps Daten ?!
Ja, du muss nur eine mal die GPS-Fake-App im Entwicklermodus starten das das Mobile kein GPS mehr hat und anschließend wider ausschalten und schon funktioniert es wieder ganz normal
May I know what version of DJI Go app are you using?
Version 4.2.4
@Liew Kok Leong so it is working again ?!? Ich still got an old Version of the DJI Go App, because of automaticliy swiched Back to EC by itself the Last des Versions
I will try it in flight distance and report later!
This is a long flight still haven’t come back yet
will this affect the GPS signals in europe for the RTH ? example if the app thinks i am in the US and picks up satellites from France will the RTH be a problem?
You only use the Floater ones, after that the spark uses it's onboard gps and will work as normal any were you are.
I tried to fake gps using damsung j7pro & Mavic pro and fail.
The location is not in USA & still CE mode.
For those of you who are looking for a iOS method to get *FCC* on their *Mavic 2* or any other DJI drone on the latest firmware:
I‘ve done a how-to on my channel!
I have not heard of "high accuracy mode settings". Sorry :-(
Do you know where is fcc mod saved? In remote control , or in directly in drone device?
I'm guessing it's saved in the drone firmware somewhere since the drone automatically
restarts after you apply new settings, but it will not do anything unless you accept the
message about changing regions which is why in theory you only need to do it once.
Funger det fortsatt? Har problemer med dårlig rekkevidde på min spark.
Jeg vet ikke da jeg har solgt min spark. Men hvis du leser de nyeste kommentarene så ser det ut for at det virker
Helo, i see DJI-v4.3.25 wil that work ?
Hi , Is this tip unlock NFZ? please
No this wil not unlock "no fly zone". I don't know how to do that, sorry.
must I be connected to the remotes WiFi while doing this. Or can I still give the false GPS using an otg cable. Will it do the same thing or I must be connected to the remotes WiFi.
I have not tested the option, so I can't tell. Sorry 😐
@@Italjohn
Nevermind I did it. And now it's on FCC mode thanks to you! hahahaha can't wait to fly far.
@@Italjohn
Does FCC work on iOS? Because I used an android to change the GPS location to US for the spark. And than I plugged in to my iPhone 6s and when it told me to change the location to the our current location I pressed cancel as mentioned. But when I flew the drone with my iphone plugged with to otg cable. The phone transmission was laggy and after only about 150 metres I already lost transmission. Should I try flying with my same android I changed the location from?
Hey guys! does this still work after all mavic air updates?
Helo sir..thank you, i get it now..Question, is there also a FCC posibility for *Mavic Air 2 ? hope for solution..thank in advance..nice day
I tried it on Air 2 and it is success. However the UI is different after these years. To see how to check whether FCC mode is used, I followed this post th-cam.com/video/TWyQHBApMig/w-d-xo.html

Does it work with OTG, which DJI app version using ? Which spark Firmware? thanks
I can't really tell you as I have sold the Spark a year ago, sorry.😐
Hi tried it inside however did not work. Does it make a difference if it's inside or outside and why ? thanks
Someone thinks the onboard GPS will take over for the fake GPS in the phone/tablet if you do it outside. I have not tried, so can't tell.
for android s9+ i have to switch off the mobile date, iam not shure if it is really necassary but after i have done it, it works. Thank you! i didnt like the other way with the modified apk.
Great Video ..Thanks For The Heads Up ...Very Easy To Do And Works Like A Treat ... Click Click FCC Mode ... Best Of All No Root

Do you have to repeat the process everytime when you power up the device?
No
@@Italjohn I live in south africa and when change my location i did not get the "change WLAN" message when i opened the djiGO app. Do you know where i went wrong? By the way im using a 'Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 pro' android phone.
I don't know, sorry. Sold my spark years ago so can't check.
@@Italjohn it's all good. Atleast I know my spark can go further than 150 metres 😂
