What happened with that was the screw damaged or something?
The issue here was that Bottas slightly overshot the pit box, forcing the wheel gun mechanics to correct
However the front right mechanic had to angle his wheel gun more than what is recommended, causing the gun to shear off pieces of the wheel nut

And the ones who are waiting with the external starter or high pressure air to refill or purge the transmission. And the steering wheel changer. And the duct tape emergency repairer. They almost never have to work but must be there.

And then you have the pit stop warriors in Indycar who only use 5 mechanics to get a 6 second pit stop. You do the math

The fact that it takes 22 mechs to make a 3 second pit stop but only 5 crew members to have a 10 second pit stop in NASCAR kind of baffles me
It’s closer to 2 seconds than 3. It takes 4x the mechanics for 4x the speed. It’s pretty basic math.
And all this happens in less than 3 seconds at best
