On Bedrock the caldron definitely has a place in your brewing set-up. If you empty a potion into the caldron you can then dip arrows in them to get tipped arrows. I can't remember how many arrows you can tip with 1 or 2 potions, but with 3 potions thats going to till a full stack of 64 arrows. You'd think they would have incorporated something like that into the fletcher block...... 🤔 I prefer the whole feel of dripping your arrows into a caldron full of the potion I'm currently working on. I'm just getting to that stage in my new world and the idea of a fire under the caldron so you can have your potion boiling on a fire 🤔 It won't do anything to the mechanic but it should look awesome!😊 Thanks for the great video 👍👍👍👍👍

Great potion --- Netherwart + Pufferfish + Redstone = 8 minute underwater breathing potion.
For any time you need to go diving, shipwrecks, monuments, aquafer exploration or whatever.

I like the placement of the build as you can fish for pufferfish for water breathing potions. I wasn’t sure about the color palette at first but I do like it in the end. I think maybe a bit of pink accents to tie them all together may be a good idea. Fire resist are my go to potions but I just used for the first time night vision and water breathing since I was looking for sniffer eggs. I like the mixed video with the time lapse and information and I think building tips would be great. I am always struggling with roofs but am slowly getting better. Keep up the great work!

@@wattlesplays I tend to use trapdoors sparingly or fences as well. It’s hard to get pick in as an accent without being too obvious.
I would love to see Wattles doing a series in the create mod, get those water wheels really spinning.
That little deck idea with the framed out trapdoors is so good! I'm defintely using that!

I would love an episode talking about how to build domes and cone roofing. I struggle with diffrent roofing styles, and like a couple minutes to explain them would be awesome! Learned a lot from this episode. And my favorite potion is absolutely night vision.

A tip for a villager trading hall is that you can use mine cart rails on scaffolding so if you need to go vertically it’s very easy to take down after

I usually put a waterlogged stair in the wall backwards and add a tripwire hook so it look likes a tap to get water

awesome vid. people often forget about how op potions are. thank you for enlightening them.
this is one of the best starter builds ever!! the blue just hits right, and the dome is so epic. the water weal helps tie the dome in with the round shape
Later in the game, I like to use the bottles from the piglin bartering for my potions. It's either that or trash them, lol. Need shulker boxes to make that feasible though, not an early game thing.
The stairs to the brewing house should've been spruce instead of oak for better visual harmony 👌

For the staircase on the entrance, put stairs facing sideways next to the other stairs. This will keep it narrow while also adding a little railing

Been playing for 4 years.. still came on to watch the video cuz , wattles.....
You can automate potion brewing just like a small auto smelter. Lock the hoppers so the bottles stay in the brewers. Put the ingredients in chest minecart, theyll drop into the brewers in the right order if you use the right amount. You can even dispense bottles into water above a hopper to be hoppered into the back of the brewing stands. At one point i was getting 18 potions at a time.

Potion of Weakness is hands down the best Potion. You need it to convert Zombies, and is the only useful Potion that does not require Nether Wart to Brew.
The Build is perfectly well placed! Now, there's only the bridge above starter cave missing to make the base perfect! About the video-format, I really love when you mix the video-topic to a "simple" build like how you did in this video. Make's it in my opinion more interesting to watch than 20 minutes of information non-stop

You could have talked more about automation... Like the different directions to Set Hoppers Up Correlating to the different spots in the Brewing stand Example from the top loads the top ingredient from the left side. Loads the left bottle the middle loads the metal. The right loads the right.

You have fortune, right? Use it on your crops. It for sure works on bedrock, so it should also work on java.

I made my own recipe book. Just grab a book and type all the potions in. You can name it as well to make it uneditable. I named mines Hebrews and I keep it in an item frame above my brewing stand
Use a Fortune III hoe on nether wart to multiply the amount you get when you harvest it. Fortune III hoes can be found at your friendly neighborhood Ancient City. "Friendly" as long as you don't wake its one inhabitant....
You should open the trap doors on the water wheel so that the water will be "scooped up"

Potion Brewing definitely needs an overhaul. Outside of Potions of Weakness for Villager Curing I barely touch this mechanic.
One thing I hate is how much of a pain Nether Wart is to get. I feel like you should be able to get Nether Wart from Crimson Fungus.
You can already combine 4 Nether Wart to make a Nether Wart Block, but why would you want to? It's practically useless and you can't break it back down into regular Nether Wart.
Then I feel Warped Wart should be what you use to make inverted Potions, or even open up a whole new branch of recipes entirely.
Do you think that they Will come out with a haste 2 potion? For when you don't need much digging and don't want to waste time setting up a Beacon?
i dont even think the have a haste 1 potion, so no way they'll add a haste 2 potion before a haste 1 potion imo because every {[insert potion name here] 2} is made by adding glowstone to the weaker variant and i see no reason to completely change the brewing mechanic just for 1 potion and break the pattern unless they completely redo brewing, not saying that they need to completely redo brewing, just saying if they add haste 2 potion, they are likely to add haste 1 potion as well as like the base or something and then you get haste 2 variant by adding glowstone to haste 1 potion

I understand the fast pace transitions due to the viewer and younger audience attention, I miss the slower paced development and longer video content
I know it was a joke but what if sugar turned potions to syrups and those could be surrounded by identical food items in the crafting table to make food items with that effect for a very short time
