Thanks for this tutorial and explanation. Unfortunately, this (as the many other"features") realy leads only to one thouthg - inkscape is designed by people who absolutely never saw any graphics program and do not realy think about user experience. Every single operation in inscape needs some sort of absolutely not straghtforward hacks like this :-/ I'm frustrated by using inscape, but your tutorials are great.
