We are in our 30’s and stuck with 34 trillion dollars in national debt and we can’t even afford a home and dealing with inflation.

Well I bought my first home in 1981, with a 21% ARM, 18% inflation and 12% unemployment. You really do not have it bad at all, especially since we know exactly why we have inflation and unaffordable housing - massive government deficit spending. Want to fix things? Vote Trump.

@@houstonconservative1776 Remember that government spending crowds out all other spending and borrowing. The greatest depression in US history was from 1945-1964. In 1946 the economy was 30% SMALLER than in 1945 - but everyone alive thought it was the "post-war boom." BECAUSE even though the economy was smaller, the economy was making things the people wanted, not things the government wanted.

Somehow the threshold of being of low character; as a documented habitual liar, a con artist, a cheat, an egomaniacal sexual predator, and then some no longer matters when we align ourselves with a political party and its politicians. 😮

American youth feel they've been tested like none other. Really?! What about kids who were drafted for Vietnam, kids who fought in WWI, kids who lived under the nuclear threat during the Cold War? My grandkids, in Australia and Canada, certainly recognise economic challenges, but they also know they don't face the depravations of earlier generations. Climate Change is their biggest worry. They also know that those who don't participate in the democratic system, have no right to complain of its failures.

If Trump gets elected, you'll be dealing with more than just inflation which is worldwide. (The U.S. has one of the lowest rates of inflation among developed countries). Trump gets in and implements Project 2025 your generation will be spending your lifetimes trying to get rid of an authoritarian government you do not want. Take it from an old guy who always voted in every major election since I was 18. You must exercise your right for your voice to be heard by voting.

I worked two jobs for quite a while. But it saved money. I don't know who is going to make it and who is not. Will they make different choices beyond the election? So, I mean choose NOT to buy cars or go the city route and share an apartment with two or three others to cut the costs?
There is a way to save, but it requires a lot of self discipline and even denial of some wants to buy more of the needs.

Cry me a river of tears. I work with the younger generation, and my children are part of that generation. I have more, I work more hours. I put in more time for a better degree. I have taken additional training on my own time they don’t wanna do any of that. They wanna work less than eight hours, they want somebody else to fix their problems, and they’ve already been given a silver spoon. If they’re so smart, they should stop whining, cinch up their boot laces, and fight for what they care about. I was a person that held signs and protested, and I was involved in the outcomes of my generation. This is a laissez faire generation that you’re speaking of because their parents have given them everything. How dare they be asked to work

Young people 18-40 this is your world if you are upset about things but don't vote in EVERY election down to the local level then you're the problem. I'm 39 and I voted in 2008 but sat out elections including 2016. I now vote in every election federal, state and local since 2017 even though I'm in a blue state (CO) I will not risk it.
