- South Africa’s Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor on Friday spoke to journalists about the ruling to come from the International Court of Justice, the ICJ, after the African nation called for emergency measures against Israel over allegations of state-led genocide in Gaza.
Pandor said whatever the ICJ decides, South Africa had achieved one of its goals in alerting the international community to the suffering of Palestinians.

What a woman! What a soul! What a character ! I am in owe of her eloquence and moral character. Her compassion , intellect , and humanity. If there is a worthy successor to Mandela she is the one.

Naledi Pandor has single handedly brought to the fore, not just the two-faced nature of the West in dealing with international rules, but also highlighted the sheer and utter incompetence of these institutions which are so called custodians of the world.
Im sure, she knows everything, as do many IR scholars, but its important to bring the facts - imperialistic, 2 -faced nature of the west and the fact they decide how rules are upheld - to younger people and people who as she said didnt even know the ICJ exists.
While rich arab nations cower under the US, and only bothered with their strategic goals of making money, here is a leader who stands for human values and has the guts to speak up and protest. Long may she live!
