Annie, You can wash the daubers in your sink with regular dish detergent. When you rinse the daubers off, rinse until the water runs clear. I dab them onto a paper towel at this point to remove excess water and help them to dry a bit quicker (it will take a while.)
I think probably the hot water in the dishwasher affected the glue. Washing over the sink with some mild soap or just water is probably best. Use a microfiber cloth to partially dry them. No need to wait so long to use them again.
