I think offering both is the way to go. Plus having a bagger gives you the ability to sell smoker chunks etc. The Wolfe Ridge bagger is the best Ives seen and when paired with a nice bundler like the Brute Force it’s an excellent combo. We just add a Dyna bundler to our set up. Then the vertical splitter for the complete package.
Yes both is the answer. I get a lot of people messaging me for all the specs to build a bagger like Wolfe ridge. Have you made a video of the Dyna wrapper yet? I am interested in seeing it. Happy New Year
Happy New Year Matt. That was a great explanation and it makes perfect sense. Offer your customer options… it definitely separates you from the competition. Joe from Ohio Woodburner would call that “value added”!
The super market manager told me that 14 pound bundles sell great And 21 pound bags. Older folks, petite women and physically challenged can grab the bundles easy peasy. Most other people grab the heavier bags.
I think the bagged firewood presents very nicely for a retail setting. It just looks more professional IMO. The bagger is also a much cheaper, simpler concept to implement in the woodyard, anybody could do it. You could pay somebody to do the bags and pay them per bag to make bundles. It could be a good part time job for after school, or for anyone really, that wants to make a few bucks on a flexible schedule. I'm thinking about trying my hand at making firewood bundles to sell. My area is very touristy with lots of lakes, mountains and campers all year round.
So as far as the bundles I’m with you and prefer the bags for all the same reasons. As far as the beer I prefer the twist top because it’s brewed/ bottled in Colorado and the cans are brewed in Milwaukee. Noticeable difference in taste😂

Keep thinking outside the box. I offer both as well for the past 5 years now. Keeps the saw dust flying.
Glad I’m not the only one!! Happy New year
I do sell bundles or bagged firewood, but I would think offering both would be the way to go. I really liked your explanation.

Thank you!
Bagged firewood seems to be outselling bundles in my area as of the last couple years. We have sold 4 bags to every bundle this past year.
That’s a pretty big difference
@@lillysfarmfirewood it sure is and this is our first year offering bags through our business.
How much do u pay for ur bags. I ask because I used banding and clips but takes a little longer to make
The cheaper bags are around 44 cent these are around 75 cents
Are those the wolf ridge bags
