I wish more hairdressers watched your video’s Matt, if I was a hairdresser I’d want to keep up with modern hair styles and new age cuttings. When a hair dresser doesn’t section my hair, I get a little worried.😩 I love watching you, you’ve a great hair stylist. Thank you, I’m watching from Australia 🇦🇺
Love watching you with the layers you always consider the density and the angle in which a person's hair grows I love it That helps when you have fine hair when you take all those things into consideration myself personally I like it cut at a 90゚ angle.
Matt, I never went to beauty school although I wanted to for some time. I am happy working on myself- less on others-but I am still so grateful that I can have access to pro tips like the ones you share. I have followed this channel for years and just wanted to let you know how much amateurs like me appreciate your hard work! 💙 God bless you!
I enjoy watching and listening to you! I've not went to beauty school. This small town in West Virginia we live in, alot of ppl can not afford haircuts. So I get my things together and make a stop once a month try to cut and sometimes color some of females hair. It's just heart felt for me to see others happy 😊 and feeling good about themselves. But ty for this experience
I love this cut ! I watch your videos from time to time and your detailed explanations are key. One of my cosmo school instructors taught me to grab a large section, chop, and there’s a layer. Needless to say I hated that haircut, and once she stepped away, I had to soften all of the layers by point cutting into the hair. FYI…..I love my Donald Scott razor, now I just need a set of dry scissors.
Matt, You’re an awesome hair cutter! I love that you’re soooooo precise, gifted, and share your talent. It really helps...for sure! Thanks bud! You’re a great hair cutter!
I have to say that this is "Exactly" the air cut I want... My hair are long all the way to my lower back now and all equal.. This hair cutter is the Best I've ever seen... Going to subscibe right now 😉👋👋
I find it so difficut to get my balance from left and right. Trying properly shape the haircut at the end is hard to ensure my shape is straight. any suggestios.
@@robertbjornesjo8087 that is soo true. I'm a haristylist and even then i have problems. Im picky on hairstylist and all around my area, most tend to cut the same style or do the same highlights. 😖
Oh man. He pushed three quarters of her hair forward for the sectioning. Sparse back and ends. Heavy front. If I got this cut, I’d immediately cut several inches off to get my fullness back, then grow again. Whoa
Hello! If the client wants these layers but does not want anything done to the fringe (no face frame or bang) would you just leave it alone ? Thank you :)
Yes I would include in the layering , but not in a face frame or face framing layers. In other words, cut it the same way you cut the other layers and perimeter. Then leave out the face frame part. Remember that over the ears if you don’t leave about an inch horizontally out of your layers, your perimeter will be uneven over ears mist of f the time.
How would you do the front section so it doesn't sit like a helmet. I've tried angling shorter front to longer at crown rather than "flat top", and chipping in. When my hair gets layered they always seem to leave a helmet look yuk. So I then try and fix.
I’ve been a stylist since 1980; I’m still at it, I wish we had theses videos back then. Thank you for doing what you do to improve all our abilities.
I’ve learned more from this channel than I did an entire year of cosmetology school. THANK YOU for what you do
Fucking right ??? Lol
I couldn't agree😅 more
Me too 💕💇🏻♀️🤩

Loved the cut
Loved the techniques of it.
If you cut the perimeter after you layer the hair. Are you cutting some of the layers you already cut?
Can you do this at a much longer length and layer?
I want this cut!! Thanks for your knowledge!!!
Oh I love it! Gorgeous! Great artistic job!!!!
Love this one. Thanks 🙏
Grazie di cuore per condividere i tuoi sapere
I really wish you would some of these cuts on live models bc we all know no guests have a mani quine hair line
I have a question. What do you mean by connect and disconnect the section?
Love your videos!❤️
Hahaha " if your name is Sharon, share twice" 😄😄😄😄
Good video! Thanks ✅
Ive been shown to cut the layers from bottom towards the crown. Is there a reason you cut the opposite way.
I tried to search for dry cutting shears everywhere online. Couldn't find it. Any suggestions?
Wow great haircut can you do this on curly hair! 🇨🇦😊
Hi. What sheers do you use?
Thanks for this , it was really helpful 👌🏾💇🏾♀️🤩
Love how you cut hair 👍🏽
Where did you get the cordless flat iron?

@Free Salon Education first you are doing great job, and thanks so much for offering free education! Is it safe to try to cut my own hair?
Looks like our first lady💖
Nice layers, but the base length is always a little too thin, could you please show a technique with layers and a fuller base length? 😊
Oh man. He pushed three quarters of her hair forward for the sectioning. Sparse back and ends. Heavy front. If I got this cut, I’d immediately cut several inches off to get my fullness back, then grow again. Whoa
Love it. ❤️ many thanks
I like the methods that you use to cut the back portion of the hair. But, I would cry if my front hair was cut show Jagged and thin at the ends.
