This is such a good representation as to why you just do not give Joker an origin. His whole thing doesn't really fit into having one. Nothing is enough to justify who he has become. Don't get me wrong, I liked "Joker" as a movie, but it didn't at all work for me as a Joker movie. It was just some really good character piece of some random person to me personally. Closest I have come to liking a Joker origin was Jerome Valeska in Gotham. But he was already insane by the time we met him, he just had not really leaned into his whole Joker-thing yet.
I think that Batcanned really summed up a lot of my frustrations with the “Joker” movie. Since there’s no conceivable way that Arthur Fleck could ever manage to become a threat to Batman let alone the biggest one. And the sketch did a great job expressing those criticisms in a humorous way.

My favorite moment in this video was when Joker first started talking I thought to myself "Is that Josh Ruben?", whom I haven't seen much of since he left Collegehumor like a decade ago, and being correct. This one was just hilarious and kind of makes a valid point that Joker is better when you don't know his full backstory.
I got mixed feelings: I thought this was the best one yet, but I’ve been really looking forward to seeing “Batman Fires The Flash,” and I feel like he got screwed out of a full-length sketch.

If you haven't seen it yet or maybe l just missed it but the Street Fighter Ken Gets Fired is really good. It has the same actor that did Nightcrawler, Gambit and Vega. It also has amazing outtakes as all off Thomas Middleditch's videos do.

Yeah, Gotham has done it the best, but I prefer not knowing his background.

I love both Jokers in Gotham. They are in my top favorites of all time. I loved how they seamlessly do two interpretations of the character at once
The killing Joke comic graphic novel has an origin story for the Joker I actually like because I can believe that backstory as it's well written.
