Do you have any 'must-have' items that come on every shoot? Obviously the camera is a pretty 'top of the list' piece of kit, but for me I don't go anywhere without my Capture Clip & Kase filter set! I flippin' love them!

I just bring everything that I have, in case I need it, lol.
But if I have to hike a bit I try to limit it to a tripod, camera and a couple of lenses + spare batteries.
What I must have is my tripod.

Haha that’s a good strategy I’d say! I can live without my tripod for sure, but it definitely limits you for landscape stuff. Thanks for your reply!

@@siwphoto it did not help much on my last shoot lol.
The one item I needed was the allen key for the ball head on my tripod as the plate had come loose. So I have added a set of allen keys to my bag, lol
The bag never seem to get lighter.....I just keep adding to it.

@@PhotographyByRune haha that’s so true. My ‘minimalist’ kit weighs loads already and I never to seem to take anything out - just add to it 🤦🏻

I have a little "oh sh*t" kit... a bag (wandrd tech bag medium) with a spare battery, spare card(s), rocket blower, sensor cleaning gel stick, lens pen, head torch, pain meds, hex key, mini tripod, small microfiber towel, some duct tape, a peak design leash, and rain cover bag thing for the camera that goes over the camera & lens when on a peak design clip). Adds less than a pound to my bag, but, everything in it has saved the day at least once.

Thanks Lana not Larna ❤️ The C Clip is an amazing big of kit huh. In fact most stuff that Peak Design churn out seems to be pretty useful and innovative. Thanks for the comment & subscribe! Si

@siwphoto thanks for your attention to detail with my name, I love that 😉
I position my CC on my straps, high enough to allow me to get shots "on the go" using the back screen. It can be awkward, but I've got a few keepers when my hands have been unable to release my camera to use it like a "normal " photographer 😉

@siwphoto Hey Si, not at all man 😁. It's a great way for people to learn. Especially great point on the backpack. Like you said, bags can cost a small fortune but nice for people to see a more cost effective option 👍👍

That capture clip is a very cool piece of kit and looks like a you've got a good set up all round there. Having gear/camera to hand and easily accessible I'm sure helps on those 'lets see what we can find' days where conditions are changing very quickly (pretty much every day at the moment here in the UK!). Great watch, mate!

It really is! There are loads of other similar products out there, but the Capture Clip just ‘works’ 👏

Just browsing the net and this video popped up.. always interesting to see what people put together for their photo trekking days. 69 subs is nothing and I prefer watching a lot f small channels as they tend to be more engaging as thy start off. Liked the shots you showed with your 26m so on that basis I have hit subscribe - will take a look at your channel a little later. atb Alan

Thanks for the feedback and welcome. Good to have you along. Hopefully the channel will remain engaging as/if it grows. You’re right, 69 is nothing, but as long as I am enjoying the process and a few others are too, we’re all onto a win 🥇

Nice to see a new face! A lot to learn... but sure you will get there! My only advice I have is to pace yourself... there were at least 3 videos in here with the detail you got into!

Thanks and hi 👋 ! That’s a really good point. You’re right, there were a few videos in that one and I had to really edit down to get this one to a sensible length. I’m doing this for my own motivation to get out and shoot, but also to share learning & hopefully create a little community, so it’s definitely good to be able to keep creating new content and growing engagement. Having more content to put out with less effort would help that 😂
