    I have a strong memory of getting past the learning of morse code only to find the actual content of a CW QSO was inscrutable if you didn't know all the things you are talking about. This is an important bit of information.

    I feel like I hear (and use) AR quite a bit. Its use is a nice bone to throw the ham on the other end of your QSO because they'll know that anything that follows is mostly just your ID and handoff and itf offers a quick moment to make a log entry, grab a sip of coffee if you're not head copying, or just take a quick mental break.

      Thanks for the additional information. Just because I don't hear it or use it doesn't mean others like yourself don't. Good info for others learning the CW craft.
