ROYAL CARIBBEAN INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS CRUISE (DAY 2) Rock Climbing, Mini Golf, Nassau, And Shows!

Our second day aboard the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas for Brennan's birthday, we woke up already ported in Nassau in the Bahamas on (in contrast to the day before) a beautiful sunny day! We watched the Disney Wish pull into port, got ready for the day, and went to the Windjammer marketplace for the breakfast buffet. Rather than immediately getting off of the ship, we decided to enjoy a couple ship amenities while they were slightly less crowded, and ended up doing the rock climbing wall as well as the miniature golf course. We briefly disembarked the ship to get some drinks and souvenirs from Nassau, and then returned to the ship to have lunch at Johnny Rockets. Afterwords, we navigated the ship to watch ourselves pull away from port, and then did a quick scavenger hunt in Adventure Ocean (and playing a quick arcade game in the Challenger's Video Arcade) before watching the ice skating show "Freeze Frame" in Studio B that we'd both been very enthusiastic to watch. After an incredible show, we went to the dining hall for dinner, and then to the Royal Theater to watch a juggler/comedian/musician before partying for 80's night in the Royal Promenade before finally going back to the stateroom to sleep! Ok, so I’ve always been team Disney Cruise and I never want to go to other ship EVER! But that dance party at the end was EVERYTHING! You can’t imagine how into 80s/90s music I am 😍

Disney was wonderful but I've been so enthusiastic about the recreational activities on the other cruise lines! There's been more to physically do so far that I've noticed (at least on the newer ships).

@@oyby I never have been to any cruise ships before! I was saving up for my birthday this year but I didn’t wanna do it alone. It’s okay to do theme parks and other stuff alone but not a cruise I believe. Maybe next year, I’ll have to plan it early :) very excited for it

Time to get on the water , one of the safest places to be . Lot of traffic ,
they communicate & can get assistance immediately if necessary . Recently , took a Disney Dream Cruise with Roy & some family celebrating his birthday . Being 77 did not slow me down , lot of folks all ages having fun together . Disney ships & Disney Orlando are my favorite . Our boys 27,30 & 32 visited Orlando in strollers every year growing up & sometime 2x . Currently , planning our Christmas trip & family get together . Universal , Sea world are also great in Orlando , voted the number one favorite city to visit in the US . Disney is a ageless place , still get transformed into a kid again when we visit . Get up & go wherever , none of us are getting any younger .

@@rogershornsby5221 Thank you for the encouragement, sir! It’s always amazing watching the Hornsby family spending time together. I remember Roy’s Birthday Disney Cruise vacation and it was awesome! Roy has been a big inspiration to me in the past couple of years. Ever since I came to the US in 2019 and covid happened, I’ve started watching Oyby channel because it’s such a joy! And whenever I visit Orlando (I do it twice a year) I follow Roy’s steps and do the things he recommends on his vlogs. I will definitely go on Disney Cruise next year as a gift to myself to celebrate my birthday. God bless you and the whole family ♥️
