I know the video has not been released yet but I have to ask, did you test these out using Bluetooth, USB and wired? I ask because other reviewers has noticed that they perform at their best when wired. Bluetooth is great but USB sounds better and wired sounds better than USB & Bluetooth.
I got the original HE400, the pads are so hard to replace that I stopped using them for a few years. They're also pretty heavy. I wonder if they made changes to the weight compared to the original that I have. I now the HE400i I believe, did change the connections and headband for more comfort. They sound really good but not comfortable enough for me to use for more than an hour straight.
The new HE400SE have new pads and it is soft and plush as shown in my video and it is 390g and feels very light on my head. It comes with the new insulated cable which is a big improvement to the old cables and i find them now very comfortable to use.
@@ianfann was the quality good? Believe it or not some of these headphones are awful for audiobooks mainly sibilance but others make the voices sound rich and full.
As the deva pro has a little bit of elevated bass I would say audiobooks sounds decent on the deva pro and because of the technicalities of the deva pro audiobooks sound clean and clear. It definitely does not sound sibilant.

yes i did test the bluetooth, usb and wired. it sounds best with the bluetooth dac wired to the computer or phone.
@@ianfann So no extra dac/amp needed? Just plug the included bluetooth dac into a phone?
Yes but the volume will need to be cranked up all the way. I recommend to have a dac/amp to drive this headphone.

@@ianfann that's a huge difference from the originals then
To be honest I’ve not tried the originals but I have seen video reviews of them and that’s how I compared them with my HE400SE.
thanks !
No problems!
These look WAY better than the original HE400 in terms of comfort.
i didn't try the og HE400 but what i can say is that these Deva Pro are very comfortable to use.
Did you listen to any audiobooks with the Deva Pro?
Yes I did briefly listen to one but I am not really an audiobook fan.

@@ianfann thank you for letting me know. I appreciate the quick feedback.
No problem, glad to help
Do you recommend any other dac/amp pair with Deva pro?
I would recommend the ifi zen dac v2, it’s a very good dac/amp at that price point.
microphone in blue mini is ok ?
it's very good, above average
@@ianfann Thanks for reply . very cool review :)
Thank you for watching 🙏
