Obsessed with decluttering!!! It feels SO good! Less to clean and take care of, less stress, more space & time for doing what you love with who you love!! ☺️ I’ve decluttered so much and so many times I’ve hit a wall and now only have what I use and LOVE. My son enjoys helping me declutter and giving to others in need 🙂
I need to do this so bad. You going through each space was so satisfying. It’s better if no ones home for me because the boys are small they like to tak thing out of my pile and then I have to track it down. This is why I haven’t done it yet but it’ll be so worth it once o do
Love declutter videos. They are so satisfying to watch. When I moved from my apartment u got rid of 5 or 6 SUVs full. Then when I got to my house I found so much more I didn't need or want. I have since gotten rig of about 5 or 6 more SUVs full to the donation center. So I would love to see more decluttering videos when you get to your new home if this happens to you too!
After watching your video my 2.5 year old daughter started clearing out her spaces and cleaning them out! You motivate even the youngest of children. I LOVE your channel and how you do everything as a family! Much love to you and yours ❤️
i decluttered my entire house as well, but i’m not moving. i did it in parts. now all my closets and drawers are super organized. 80% of my kitchen cabinets are decluttered. just waiting for a sliding shelf from amazon for my much needed under the sink cabinet. feels SO good.
I’ve been decluttering my bureau drawers and closets , like 3x in a year now, and when I go back thru them again, I think the clothes multiply, when I’m not looking!! Here I go again. Thanks for the inspiration 😊😊

We just sold our house and had to be out before our new house was finished. I put my whole house in a 10x20 storage unit so I had to be ruthless, too! My kids got to keep a bag of toys with us where we are staying now and honestly they’ve probably forgotten the rest of their toys by now. I got rid of SO MUCH and am still going to be getting rid of stuff when we move into our new home. My philosophy is almost the same as yours, I don’t want anything we don’t love to come into our new home ♥️

I keep travel size or the ones you get from a hotel to use in "homeless bags." I usually keep a few in my car to give to someone i see on the side of the road holding a homeless sign.

When we moved across the country I had to declutter big time. I was ruthless & you're right...it feels SO good to watch the pile grow!!! Our Girl Scout troop was having a yard sale to raise money for travel so they got first dibs. You're lucky! My kids definitely have a bigger attachment to stuff. It's easier for me to do this when they aren't around.

It sure did! I love your final tip to just grab a bag and once a week fill it up. That’s kinda what I do...I usually shoot for the day before trash day. I know when some of the locals are “neighborhood shopping” so I purposely fill a box or large bag, put it out with a “FREE” sign on it. 🙂
Hi Ashley, I live to declutter. I try to declutter every couple of months. I agree with you that whatever you declutter needs to go quickly if not it will wind up back in your home. My problem is my spouse is a hoarder 😳. We did reach an agreement that if it fits in his closet he can keep it. Eventually when things start falling on him he gets frustrated and will declutter 😁😂

Love this video! I always donate my blankets to the animal shelter in town ❤️ same with dog beds. I just wash them and bring them there! They’re always so appreciative of it and it feels good giving!
I am a professional makeup artist and I have moved my in home studio 3 times now. For my makeup and beauty tools i love the shoe box sized clear bins from dollar tree. I just empty each drawer into a bin and label it, then when I go to the new place everything is already organized and i just put it back in its same drawers. The dollar tree also has bubble wrap and bubble envelops for things that are a bit fragile.
Ashley you can go to walmart or Kroger and ask to get banana boxes. Those boxes are really strong. I used 20 boxes. To move from Chicago to Here Pasadena tx.
Ashley, it looked liked Chase put your LG vacuum in the pile. I’m not sure, of course, but it looked like it. I too loved how you whole family decluttered their areas and other areas too! My husband is a pack rat! He likes to hold on to everything! It’s frustrating! You really inspired me! I love that you filmed this for all of us to watch! I can’t wait to see your new house! It did give me motivation to do a lot of decluttering in my kids rooms my linen closet my front entrance cause it’s been rearranged and cleaned out I have an inch to switch and sort things out and that’s what I’m going to do thank you so much for all your inspiration and your videos I hope you have good weather for moving 😃💐

A great place to give blankets and pillows to is the animal shelter. Ours has concrete floors so they love to get blankets and pillows to put down to make it soft for them. Love all of your videos. Your home is like this amazing organizational dream... ❤
Ashley, we just moved and are in the process of trying to find room for everything. We went from 3200 sq ft to 1700 sq ft with no basement. I tried to declutter but my problem was cleaners and shampoos and creams, I bought them, there was nothing wrong with them and I will use them...eventually. I really wanted to get rid of stuff and am trying, as I use something, if I don't like it, to throw it out or give away. But my husband! he brought three stereos and a boom box and we never use them anyway. he brought furniture we didn't have room for. An exercise elliptical thing that he NEVER used in all the years I know him (2nd marriage) cause one day..., wires, random shelves, random things that don't have homes (probably lived in the old house basement. Seriously, you cannot walk through our house here yet and we have been here a month! I LOVE your old house. Can't wait to see your new one. And wish you could come here and make me get rid of stuff!!!
I have a few bins in my closet I need to do this with. It's going to be a project for me over the winter as a way to just keep me busy with all this going on. And I need to declutter my front coat closet too.
