I just love how much the set design has glowed up over the years. Coming to this after finishing a rewatch of Escape the Bloodkeep is a shock to the system in the best possible way.

Next level for D20 would be the whole cast in costumes. I loved when they did a little bit of it in Burrows End and A Court of Fay and Flowers. And I love love love these animations and the increased real time visual effects in the background!

It’s a homebrew where their stats are dependent on dice (a la kids on bikes) but every stat starts with d4. Once a player successfully fills the highest number available on a die, they graduate to being able to roll the next die up for that skill. (If rolling a 4 on a d4, you can then roll a d6 for that skill for the foreseeable future until rolling a 6 and being able to graduate to d8) Hence “never stop blowing up” bc the point is their dice/skills are always ‘blowing up’
Is this at all entertaining to people who aren't familiar with Dropout's cast of characters? I want to try to show this season to my dad but I'm certainly biased 😅

It's a subtype of isekaing. "Back to the future'd" and "wizard of oz'd" are the other two.

Jumanji isn't really the same though. You're jumping into fully mature characters in Jumanji. Most Isekais are more like Narnia.
